I'll never get over how correctional officers noticed that women who go to jail are almost never visited by men. A man who comes out of jail usually has a wife/gf, kids and a home waiting for him. Meanwhile, the women would be visited by their mothers/sisters/gfs but hardly ever a man, and their kids are taken away.. the most disloyal group have the nerve to talk about loyalty.

I really don't understand the whole " You're gonna die alone" argument. You could be on your deathbed surrounded by loved ones and best friends and your favorite boss and your cool neighbors and when the time comes, and you take your last breath, guess what ? None of them are going to say : " TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!" You're making that final trip on your own...we all will...

@VvpandoravV 9 месяцев назад
I don’t either. It’s exactly as you say and I’ve been close enough to death since childhood to know this and have even said it before. People get shocked and insulted when I’ve said the truth about death. They’re usually the ones that have little to no experience w it and have no idea what they’re talking about. Once it’s obvious to me they have no real experience w death I put them on ignore. They’ll find out soon enough for themselves ✌️
@eulennachathen449
@eulennachathen449 9 месяцев назад
Yes, that. Also, you could die alone after literally decades of being a wife and mother. Men usually die first and adult children have their own lives. They may or may not be present with you as you lay dying. Most people die alone, even if they have lived full family lives before that. That's the crucial realisation here. In our dying moments all we have is ourselves (and God - if you believe in that) and we need to be okay with that.

For real though, I’m constantly seeing videos of men asking ‘what woman bring to the table’, downplaying the efforts we put into relationships, marriages and families. When women are single, statistically they’re happier and thriving in life, whereas, men are now struggling through a loneliness epidemic, porn, addiction and high rates of suicide. I’ve lost count the amount of times I’ve worked with older women who are widowed or divorced that have told me that they’re single by choice and no longer want to be involved with men again is shocking. I’ve worked in old people homes and hospitals and I have only ever seen one man be regularly visited by his wife and children, the rest of the men had no family that visited them or friends to talk to and were miserable, whereas, women in the homes were visited often by their children, made friends and they’d go out on trips together. This is why I think men get defensive when they see successful women, happy single women or child free by choice women because it reaffirms to them that women are starting to move on from them and prioritise our own happiness and they can’t take it. They try to insult us and instil fear by telling us that we’ve hit the wall, that we’re selfish because we don’t want to continue our legacy, that they won’t protect us from other men and that we’re gonna die alone with cats. It’s all because they can’t handle being alone themselves.

@@Player-kq6fd We support each other more than men support us, that's for damn sure. We would have never made it this far if we didn't support each other. It would only benefit men if we were to remain insecure and unsure of ourselves because we're easier to control in that state. That is why we tear ourselves and each other down and can be judgemental and cruel. The patriarchy has pitted women against each other to depreciate us, so we compete for scraps of male validation and bare minimum treatment. It's like a type of self-assured destruction that makes us lower ourselves and believe that men are a prize, a limited resource, that we fear we will not be fulfilled without. Once we build each other up and fulfill ourselves, we realize the lies we've been force fed and that we don't need men that want us to be lesser, men who don't want us to know our true worth and capabilities so we stay under their thumb. We're simply not putting up with men's bullshit anymore and more men are lonely because of it. We're not cussing men out to be feminists anymore because that doesn't work. Now we're showing them that certain behaviors are unacceptable by walking away and they'll have to change if they want to keep up. The ones who complain and blame us for leaving don't see the problem or choose not to fix it, so they get abandoned to wallow in their bitterness. Not every man is terrible of course, there are some great ones, but keep in mind they've had the most power throughout history and they got us into this mess. They created and perpetuated this system to only benefit them and now it's crushing them in an ironic turn of events. They have the choice to break the mould, to progress with women in a healthy, respectful way that benefits everyone, or they'll be alone. Simple.

The seven extra hours of work a week with a man makes sense, if you’re being saddled with the bulk of the domestic duties: his clothes are an extra load of laundry that needs to be washed, dried, ironed possibly and put away; his dishes are a load of dishes- maybe two if you make a packed lunch; the prep of his meals; the picking up of the tissues, cups, beard shavings left in the sink, the hair they leave in the drain, the empty toilet rolls, etc.; then there’s the extra groceries in general and the parties he decides to have that you end up hosting for him. It all adds up. 7 hours might be an understatement for the dustiest of dusties.

Never heard the term “pick me” but those are the women he dates. It’s so sad bc they clean his house, spend time with him, think they’ll change him ect and within 2 years he’s found another one. It’s so sad bc most of them are nice and I’d love to give them a heads up on what’s gonna happen to them. I finally quit playing the game acting like this new girl is the “one”. My cat and I got out of an abusive relationship a few months ago and what that relationship taught me is that I will ALWAYS live with a man before getting married. When my ex and I moved in together it started fine but quickly devolved into me doing all the chores while he would play and stream video games. He would sit on his ass after coming home from work and would tell me if I needed help than I should ask, but if I did ask, he would get passive aggressive with me and complain about how sore he was from a long day at his blue collar job. I work in fast food. I’m on my feet 8 hours a day AND I have degenerative spinal issues, but I was still expected to come home and help with dishes and making dinner. I would literally cry from my back pain while making dinner some nights and my ex would mock me. I finally had enough one night when he made a pizza and I presumed it was for both of us since when I make food it’s ALWAYS for us both, so grabbed a slice and he hit it out of my hands. Nobody hits food out of my hands and gets away with it. So I stole my cat and ran away. Thats the tip of the iceberg of what I went through with that boy but suffice to say, I don’t wanna get married and move in with a guy only to find out he’s an incompetent man-child. Trust me- you DO NOT want to be legally tied to someone and THEN find out they suck.

I’m a lawyer and say that legal marriage gives you protection. The court has long known the value of women’s labor, childcare, etc. and will at least monetarily compensate you for at LEAST half of your contribution to the marriage. Men who complain about women getting 50% of “their” assets don’t understand that women are contributing to their success and the household business. I think it’s funny that conservatives don’t you want people to move in together first but I think it’s totally legitimate to see how you’re going to be treated in the home. A good indicator is whether the man even takes care of himself while you’re dating (does he clean up after himself? Cook for himself? Do his laundry?) that’s when those 7+ hours of household labor come into play. Legit, that’s a whole workday of unpaid labor.

When my grandmother began to devolve into dementia, did either my father or uncle step in to take care of her? Nope. It was all the women in the family, and I bore the brunt of the emotional, and physical toll of helping her clear out a large family home, move to assisted living, pay all her bills, communicate with staff and medical personnel, put my career on hold for six months to support her. No thank you, in fact when my grandmother passed away 5 years later (bless her soul), my father had the nerve through his attorney to demand a review of all the financial records, which I gave. I sent him a message back through Grandma’s attorney, isn’t a third of a million dollars enough for you? Guess not. And to be clear, I am angry on my grandma’s behalf. I remember one night when she kept telling me that we couldn’t make a decision without ‘asking her boys’ first. It was heartbreaking to tell my 93 year old grandma that her boys weren’t coming, they refused to help, it was just her and I. That sucked.

Yet these Grandmothers daily asking "how is my Son". The part where you said "they would say thank you". That part made me laugh. They are never grateful. I had to withdraw from caring for my Great-aunt. I had done it for years. I found out that I wouldn't be compensated for none of my care. The will had her two sons name. Meanwhile they had not visited her in five years. It is funny that even other Women do not value the labour of other women. I was told I should be caring for her because I loved her. But when you love someone you should want them rewarded. I haven't seen her in three years. They put her in a home. She lost her sight and can not walk now. Men are hedious and selfish.

The producers decided to worry about his background later because they know that the show and Gerry would bring in ratings. Of course the winner was the pick-me chick Theresa, who happens to have a high net worth. Here’s my surprised face - 😐. Yes, ladies, contrary to what these podcast bros say, it’s the MEN who are afraid of dying alone, not women. It makes me laugh how men seriously parrot the phrase "You´ll end up alone with your cats and dogs" and actually believe it. First of all, logical error. If you have cats and dogs, you are clearly NOT alone - there are living creatures around you. Secondly, dogs rank higher on the scale than men, because they are loyal to the death, won´t just leave you for the next best female, and will protect you at all cost. No other creature in the world will greet you at the door with such pure joy and excitement every single time, and willingly cuddle with you. They furthermore can be trained to function as emotional support dogs and service dogs for disabled people etc., they perform their duties right upon the first command and they don´t pull a sour face while doing so! Number 3, a great majority of women, whether they were married or not, usually end up having children. So in most cases they have family when they are older. Number 4, men for the most part die before their wives, so a woman "dies alone" anyway in 8 out of 10 cases. Last but not least, women who never had their life energy drained by men (and maybe also kids) have had exactly all the needed time and energy to invest into cultivating, nurturing and maintaining other relationships: friends and neighbors, building a network through volunteer work in the community and in charities, babysitting for other women and becoming the honorary grandma of other families, becoming members of a sports club or travel group etc. Women are adept at ensuring that they have people to go to and to look out for them. Nothing to fear here in terms of "loneliness".

Furthermore, I'm willing to bet that he spent every dime of the money he was paid to sell his hamburger drive-in "restaurant" on that house near the river, and still has come nowhere near paying off his mortgage. That's why he was pressuring "Carolyn" to pay him $1,000 a month to live with him! If his home had been paid off, then he would not be so desperate for HER money. Not only is Turner anything but "golden" if he is still performing menial labor jobs well into his SEVENTIES then he is far POORER than most American men are in his age group! I pray that Teresa has by now read that article about Turner in The Hollywood Reporter and has told Turner to "Hit the road, jack!" The man is shameless!

You know a relationship isn't working when they depend on your emotional dependence on them to not have to take accountability. They give you the choice to put up with them or choose to be alone. When those are your only two options you know it's not working out. When they're willing to be open and sincere, you know there's a chance. You basically wake up every morning to these very basic two choices until you're finally ready to make a move.

It’s true. Men need women but women don’t need men. Men know it, but most won’t admit it. As men, we hate being single but most single women I know have been single for years and are loving it. As men, we owe our existence to women. Without women, men are nothing.

That last part with the money making it to the kids hit me hard. When my mother died, my father used her 60.000€ life insurance to spend on cars for himself. When he died, I inherited 3.000€, because what was left over was divided by four (four children) and my two brothers got a little bit extra as well, because my father was a sexist asshole. He did have a girlfriend for a moment, but in the end she was not the problem, it was him. He had also never worked a job since before I was born and was receiving an early pension, meaning my mother was the sole provider of our family. He didn't even take care of the kids, rather he was a threat to us all. I totally understand now why I've been attracting all the wrong kinds of men my whole life, had extremely low self-esteem and no self-respect, but I'm not putting up with this any longer.

Most men won’t admit it but it’s true. I know so many women who have been single for years that are having the time of their life. Single men, including myself, are chasing after women. After a divorce or death of a spouse, a lot of women will remain single. Most men will quickly look for another woman to make his wife after a divorce or death of a spouse.

@@MrJavaman5 I know yeah men do this a lot of the time to fill a void and I think because society puts pressure on them making them thinking that’s the next step to take to find someone to settle down with and have children with. But so many men project their insecurities onto women especially when they see that a woman is content with being alone and doesn’t want kids. When there is nothing wrong with that but toxic men will project their insecurities onto that woman. Thanks for admitting it tho you backed up what I’ve been saying for the longest time

My grandpa died 27 years ago and my grandma never remarried despite being in her early 60s at the time. I thought that was so strange because she is so social and such a catch. Now I know, she was too smart to do it all over again.
