For all of human history, we've been aware of heredity. Children look like their parents. But why? When Gregor Mendel pioneered the field of genetics, he began to try to answer that question, and now that we know about chromosomes, all of his work will make a lot of sense. Let's take a look at Mendel's work, his laws of segregation and independent assortment, and try to understand what these mean for genetics and inheritance.

As usual, this is a great set of videos. My only suggested change would be at about min 11 of this video, specifying that the dihybrid cross where both parents are heterozygous in both traits always gives the ratio of 9:3:3:1. I know it's implied, but wouldn't hurt to specifically say it (or write it as a note in the video)

I have a question. Do u pollunate the white flower to the purple one and take the seeds? If you take the white flowers seed would the white gene be dominant.
