Mercedes-Benz EQS-580 with augmented heads up display as an option. It is my preferred option and I will require this option on any future car. In this very short video, I provide you a look at what the driver sees as the car (in cruise control) automatically changes lanes for you: 1) heads-up display off - the headlights project an arrow on the ground showing your lane change; 2) basic heads up display on - the car changes lanes, but there are no visuals to accompany the lane change; 3) augmented heads up display on - the heads up display projects a green arrow on the windshield for the driver to see the lane change.
This is just one of the features provided by the augmented heads up display. While obviously not a required safety feature, it is a helpful visual reminder of the car's actions and one I very much enjoy!
But first, a quick (12 seconds) look at the car's interior at night.

As an owner of EQS 580 and Tesla model S, highway driving EQS is much better with lane changing. Every lane change in Tesla requires turning off auto-pilot/cruise control and re-engagement after lane change. You must pay extra to get Tesla lane changing.

Wow, I would not have imagined that being an extra charge

This video would have much great impact with narration. It is not obvious what actions driver is taking. He was using Adaptive Cruise control with lane centering. It maintained a safe distance behind car in front. To make an automatic lane change, simply engage turn signal and if safe, the vehicle will change lanes automatically.

I have tbe 450 plus. I see a white lane change indication, but it's from the headlights. I'll have to see if there's a heads up display option to get the green one. I have it on the alternate dash view at least

@@Ninja6485 when I turn off my heads up display, I can see the headlight one like you have. I imagine your car does not have the heads up display from your note, but it would be a great surprise 👍

@@EQS-Owner It has a few options for heads up display: Some basic ones, one that will show a combination of speed, map, GPS info for turns and such, and one that will double the sport screen from the instrument cluster. Maybe there's a software version, a location based difference, or maybe there's just an option somewhere! I just got the car, so I'm still figuring everything out. Or maybe it's just a little different on the 450. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

@@Ninja6485 now I am understanding the difference between our two systems. They have two different types of heads up display, since you explained your options. One includes augmented reality (which I have) and one does not (yours). Yours is great, but the green arrows are only on the upgraded HUD
