Thank you posting this video, very helpful. Question, could you read the secondary spark voltages with this scanner? also do you have any recommendations whare to buy the scanner kit? I have a 1992 W140 M120 engine, suddenly the engine won’t start due to very weak spark on the both banks. The spark is weak right out for the main coil pack for each bank (before it feeds the distributors), any ideas? Thanks !

To work with this machine, it is best to use C3 SD Connect. This is a Mercedes dealer device. You can also purchase it from us. This is the best device for working with Mercedes in general. This device will work until 2016; if you want a newer car, then it will be a different device. Good luck!

Hey mate, thank you for this video! I wanted to ask you, can I use this process if I buy second hand ECU and transfer the coding from my ECU using your steps? Or when these 40 starts happen, the ECU can't be erased/reprogrammed using STAR? My intuition tells me that if I erase the new ECU (carry out the coding from old ECU), the interlock should also be reset, and after these 40 attempts, the security rule kicks in and start looking for mobiliser? So if we reset/reprogram the new ECU it should allow us to start the car and after that it will become locked to this new car? Or maybe I'm wrong?

If you bind a new ECU, then everything will work out for you as shown in the video. In the video we link the new ECU. It shows absolutely every step how it is done. Moreover, when you start tying, the diagnosis itself will write to you every subsequent step. If you have questions about updating the module, then send it to us and we will prepare it for binding. What does it mean "interlocked"? It means engine won't run? You used "new" module from another w140? Immobilizer will not block a "new" module?

interlocked means that it is locked. When it is interlocked you cannot do anything with the module. In position interlocked the module was still unlocked, to make it make sense watch the video completely

@@ECUTeamCorp I think you did some manipulations with the "new" module before installing it if a "new" module was previously installed on some w140, then it was already locked Am I wrong?

@@DimBliss I'm also wondering that. I want to clone my ECU of OM606 engine, but I don't know if I buy second hand ECU (same part number) and follow the instruction to erase it, if this will turn off the interlocking? Or maybe it will need hardware manipulation (erasing /replacing the CPU) so it will enable me to reprogram it using the method from the video? I have very bad shaking/misfiring at idle and deceleration and I starting to think that my ECU is went bad so if this method works that will be great!
