Hey Joe - Isn't it really a Leona Williams song? I mean, I realize that Merle made it a hit song, but you can't forget the writer here. It's a woman's song, and it was brilliant that Merle Haggard made it his own. It further endeared him to a lot of female fans. Oh - and another great job.
