Dan not only sings, he gives a performance. He was on a podcast minutes after recording this. He still had his colored lens in. He said, he kept poking himself in the eyes trying to put them in and was afraid to take them out. He said he will never use those again! I’m so glad you liked this, hopefully your wife liked it too. I love how he starts out quietly sarcastic and then right into some screams. I like that he’s wearing the medallion plus he wore specially tinted contacts too. He uses so many different voice techniques in this song. The only problem is that the song needs to be much longer! Thank you for your reaction to Dan's bard. His theatrics and enjoyment with this rendition definitely show that the Bard is seriously very upset with the Witcher in season 2! Dan's vocal range and intuitive take on the lyrics give us great entertainment. Not only is Dan a phenomenal singer, he is a great showman and that is how he draws us into the story line. His minimalistic filming with the emphasis on his facial features enable emotions to show. Love this cover!!

I've been watching some of his older videos, that he calls his "evergreen" videos. They are all wonderful and you can watch his skill set grow. This wonderfully performed song started raving 😜. This song belongs on my top 5 list. This changeable voice is magic. And one thing needs to be mentioned... Dan Vasc could play the Witcher and sing the Bard 🤘❤️.

Not as big of a reaction as some, probably because of your love of metal and thus being use to sudden shouts, but imagine someone who isn't a metalhead and has turned the volume up at the beginning because of the quietness of the opening. I've seen a few of those reactions happen 🤣. This is my favorite of the Witcher songs. Dan definitely gave the song new life. I did notice that on the second playthrough you mentioned that you enjoyed that part 😁😎

Yeah, I guess that's true about being used to it more than most. And yes, I really did enjoy that part! I thoroughly enjoy Dan's take and his theatrics which gives the song LIFE! Just an awesome rendition.. never read the books, watched the show or played the game.. but through Dan it is my new addition to my bucket list.. (bucket has a hole in it so sooner not later)🤣
He knows how to entertain, that's for sure. No matter how good you are, no one wants to see someone standing there all stiff. And if you don't emote while singing it will sound flat. Dan must be a fan of the show to put on that kind of performance! A true artist!

It really exposes the psychological reaction of the Bard, even though he hardly expressed it outwardly. Dan conveyed all his hurt and fury so well. An amazing little theatrical scene in about three minutes. Not to mention the great, high, long, and in-tune metal scream, and the mother of all hair flips! 😊And speaking of theatrical scenes, I don't think you've done the Gethsemane scene from Jesus Christ Superstar yet? It's like watching a stage performance. It's a stunning and wrenching performance, and also displays lots of different aspects of Dan's vocal color and range. I'm sure you would appreciate it. P.S. I've started reading the Witcher books and I've seen a few of the Netflix shows, thanks to Dan's Witcher covers. Did you know that it was his cover of Toss a Coin to Your Witcher that sent Dan's channel skyrocketing a few years ago? And then there was another big jump after Amazing Grace. The occasional prop is nice, but the way he conveys the emotion for each song means he does not need backdrops or props to draw you in. Bet that cuts down on production costs. BUT your reactions to the way Dan is singing this song has made me decide I have to check the Witcher out. Your reactions were great! Watched all 3 seasons of The Witcher. Definitely started going downhill in season 3 and without Henry Cavill Season 4 is a huge ? That being said, love this song and although the show version is good, Dan’s is exceptional! Thanks for the review!
