I just realized that when Dan sings something that is going to be really emotional for him, the cameras are always at an angle, and he never looks straight into the camera, which he normally likes to do. Cameras were at an angle when he covered Elvis' American Trilogy as a tribute to his Father, when he sings this song, and when he covered "Son of Pain" by Rhapsody of Fire. I love everything about Dan Vasc - his faith, his voice, his sense of humor, his intelligence, his taking time to talk with his fans, and the goodness of heart and soul. I've chosen not to listen to often to this cover, I'm a mess afterwards 😢 both my dad and my father-in-law was and is hugh Elvis fans, and Dan's version hits me right in the feels 😭

What a lovely thing it was for Dan to do this for Robert and Annie. You know it must have meant the world to them. And, he delivered it so beautifully. If you want to see him sing another song that will break your heart even more, please listen to him sing Elvis' American Trilogy. He performed it only 5 days after his Father passed away from cancer. It was his Dad's favorite Elvis song and Dan's heartbreak can be felt in every word, especially as the tears flowed down his face at the end. It is so special and one that shows the tenderness and strength of this fine human being. Thanks for your continued support of Dan. Blessings.

Not only did Dan do this for a fan, but he pinned and hearted the comment when she posted, and then Vasc Nation stepped up and sent positive energy to them both. Dan Vasc is not only the greatest singer on RU-vid and the world as we know it and he ìs also a caring, loving human being. The serenity in Dan's eyes as he sings this is profound. I'd wish he would do amore Elvis covers, like 'If i could dream', 'Suspicious Minds', or i could totally hear him do a bluesy metalversion of 'All shook up', or a metalled up version of 'Devil in disguise'. His voicerange, pitch and vibratostyle is so close to Elvis, he could totally do any Elvis song justice.

I think tears are a beautiful tribute to a beautiful memory. I don't know why some people get embarrassed or apologize when they display their emotions. Dan seems to feel things deeply and is adept at revealing them in song. Whether it's excitement, anger, aggression or love. Dan's cover of "American Trilogy" was recorded just days after the passing of Dan's father and naturally dedicated to his father. His father loved Elvis and "American Trilogy" was his dad's favorite Elvis song.

Dan is such a great singer and a great person

We all know that Dan can blow out the doors and windows when he chooses to, but I love this simple, emotional,... tender... delivery. Dan always sings the words, but this time it's as if he's singing directly to Robert and Annie. It's so moving. And of course he's a masterful singer with a gorgeous voice. Bill, I loved your reaction. I think we all wept the first time we heard this, and on many subsequent listens too. It's because we're human. ❤ Best to you and your wife. (P.S. I never thought I would like anyone who covered an Elvis song - Dan has proven me wrong - his 2 Elvis songs are very heartfelt and sincere and I love them

As busy as he is, that Dan took the time to create this for Annie and Robert speaks volumes about his kind heart. Every time I watch this video or his cover of Elvis' American Trilogy tribute to his dad, tears start dribbling. Maybe a lot of people have the same reaction. Very touching reaction, thank you.

Oh, Bill! I thought of Nancy right away, when I saw the reaction pop up. Beautiful, beautiful reaction to this precious offering by Dan, for Robert and Annie. Elvis was born January 8, 1935 (interestingly my oldest daughter was born January 8, 1968). I was born November 29, 1949. So Elvis was almost 15 years older than I. When I was 15, I had learned every song that Elvis had ever recorded up to that point, and I began collecting his records. By the time he passed away, I owned every single one of his songs (on both records and tapes) that he had ever sung. Believe me, that collection was HIGHLY-treasured. My little band sang his stuff all the time, along with our folk music by Bob Dylan, etc. When I left Alaska, I couldn't take everything. I left all of my Elvis collection, my Tijuana Brass collection, my Beach Boys collection, my Beatles collection, my Ventures Collection, and a ton more of my favorite artists of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, with my youngest brother -- packaged carefully -- in his basement. When HE left Alaska and moved to California (where I was living), he brought me the set of second-class encyclopedias that had one volume missing, that the Valdez Library wouldn't take, but NONE of my music collection. I start to cry every time I think of it. He had SOLD every single one of my records and tapes, AND all of the wooden items that I had treasured over the years since I was TINY, that my Daddy had made for me as birthday and Christmas gifts! It took me a long time to forgive my brother (sigh). When I listen to Dan sing this song, in addition to the emotion that hits me with both this one and his tribute to his dad, I cannot help but sing along with every note (sometimes melody, and sometimes harmony), AND to cry. It's just the way it is. Thank you very much, Bill, for this wonderful reaction. I will treasure it. Also, thank you, Jamie, for the request. 😀

I can not watch this... it was so soon after his fathers passing. The pain is there... the second his face shows in the video, I go to pieces... same with the Trilogy for his father. I never do funerals The pain is more than I can stand.
