Yes! Dreamcatcher are underrated af! They’re gaining more fans with each comeback but they should have been at the top since their debut!

dreamcatcher doesn't get as many views because their style is not popular among their main core kpop audience. the genre that is popular in korea especially for girl groups are more cutsey bubblegum pop with some exceptions of course. I wouldn't be surprised if dreamcatcher has a wider international audience than in korea. twice for example is super popular and the polar opposite of dreamcatcher. I think you guys would find it hard to swallow 80% of kpop from girl groups, outside of eye candy.

The producers are Ollounder and Leez. Not sure on the band as a whole though. I think I read somewhere that they are a group and a couple of them produced 'Fly High' 😊 But Chase me, Good night & You and I are def from the Ollounder & Leez duo. And a couple of side tracks. Leez has a yt channel btw, and he uploads cool remix of Dreamcatcher instrumentals, from time to time that is 😅

I don't know if someone's explained the views thing already, but they're largely dependent on what label a group is under or where it's posted. 1. If they're under the "big 3" (SM, YG, and JYP) they're likely to strike a lot of views. Hence why BlackPink got 80 million views in a couple of weeks, versus six million views for Dreamcatcher in over a year. Exceptions here are Japanese releases (they get less views), BTS, and viral hits. 2. If they're posted on 1theK they'll get more views than if they're posted on an individual channel. 1theK buys/is given the rights of MV distribution because of their subscriber count.

I'm a part of 7Dreamers, a fansite for Dreamcatcher, you guys would definitely love them!! and im a geek for tryint to promote them.. on your own time i recommend watching the videos in order, because it is a story. Chase Me, then Good Night, then Fly High (the prequel to chase me and goodnight), then You and I. Their concept has pretty much stayed rock/horror, and the story line isn't necessarily that they themselves are dreamcatchers, but they are dreams themselves. the story starts with chase me where a dreamhunter is looking for them (not ghosts). i dont wanna give the full story away because it gets deeper with the new videos further. They're a rock girlgroup and were formerly Minx, and have always been under HappyFace Ent. They are from a smaller company but have been gaining a lot of publicity with each comeback! It'd be cool to see your reaction to Good Night, which a lot of people love. Full Moon was released earlier this year as a song for the fans for their one year anniversary, so it's not necessarily tied into the story line but its a song by them still in the rock style. I hope maybe you guys become fans and continue to check them out! Just some back information on K-pop in general! The K-pop genre has many various genres that fall into it; such as: dance, electronica, rap, hip hop, ballad, rock, retro, jazz, club, edm, cute pop, and many more. K-pop usually has a set formula for each song which consists of the opening set of lyrics, chorus, second set of lyrics, rap break, dance, break, and vocal break (this can be different depending on the group or soloist). K-pop gained attention due to their style of fashion, beautiful visuals, amazing dances, amazing vocals, visually pleasing music videos, and a wide variety of other things. K-pop began to gain popularity in parts of Asia (such as Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc.) and this soon spread to Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and all now is a global sensation. A common practice in Korea (as well as in most other parts of Asia) is the practice of training. Companies will scout individuals by holding auditions (both online and local), sending scouting agents out into the world (both locally and internationally), and by holding private audition. The judges of the auditions will then pick the best of the auditions and offer them contracts to be trained by the company. The proper term for a person being trained by a label is "trainee." Trainee age can very from youngest age 7 to oldest 28 (note: this a broad assumption, each company id different). The trainees are then trained to sing, dance, and how to properly speak. Depending on the company's criteria trainees may also be trained in acting, modeling, producing, and learning other languages (such as English, Japanese, Chinese, etc.). Trainees come from all over the world, however; most trainees are usually Asian. Known places such as China, Japan, Australia, Europe, North America, Thailand, and Taiwan are usually large contributes to the trainee population in Korea. The time a trainee can be trained is completely up to the company. The shortest trainee period is 3 weeks, while the longest trainee period is known to be 15 years. During this time the trainees go through various tests, heavy dieting, straining practices, and are constantly pushed beyond their own set limits. Keep in mind that their is no set debut date for any trainee, meaning that trainees can go through all this and never make an official debut. During trainee period underage trainees are expected to still go to school, and highly encouraged to go to college. Adults on the other hand may or not be permitted to get a part time job, and are also highly recommend to go to college. Depending on the company, trainees are not allowed to date, go out past a curfew, or discuss company business elsewhere. Some companies also may require a possible trainee be a virgin, however; this is up to the company. It is not uncommon for K-pop groups and soloist to debut in different countries as well. A number of groups and soloist have already debuted in Japan, China, and North America and have been well perceived. It is also not uncommon for groups and soloist to release songs in English, Japanese, Chinese, and now groups are starting to incorporate Spanish into their music. (It seems like a lot of information, but i just know a lot because i have been K-pop for almost 6 years. I am currently 18)

There is other group that have a rock and dark vibe that you guys should like to react to, it's called B.A.P. It's a boy group with different kinds of concepts but the dark it's their most famous one. I recommend Warrior (their debut song), One Shot, Badman, Skydive, Hands Up, Dystopia, Ribbon in the Sky and Pray (the last three ones doesn't have MVs, only lyrics). And other thing really interesting about them it's the critical lyrics and messages of their songs. I really like your reactions and would love to see my favorite group on your channel 🤗

The actor's name is Jo Dong-hyuk, and he's a recognized actor. He's not Gong Yoo or Lee Min-ho famous, but he's known. I really liked him in Bad Guys. And, with regard to their MV acting, a lot of idols also act, and sometimes they become better known for their acting than their singing. If y'all like the dark concepts, like other comments say, you should check out VIXX. They are known for their dark concepts, although technically they dominate any concept they try. Every aspect of their performance--costuming, choreo, lyrics, makeup, etc.--is designed to tell a story, which is why they are known as concept idols and the Kings of Concepts. "Voodoo Doll" (not the clean version) is the one that most people know and is THE MV for dark concepts. "Hyde," "Chained Up," and "Fantasy" are also considered dark, as are "Eternity," "On and On," and "The Closer." You should check out Leo's (he's one of their main vocalists) collab with LYn called "Blossom Tears." He's...intense. "Beautiful Liar," which was the debut song of VIXX LR (Leo & Ravi), a subunit of VIXX, is also considered dark, and it's exceptional. Quite different from anything else in K-pop, really. VIXX comes from a smaller company, and their views aren't in the neighborhood of BTS (although, fun fact, BTS are VIXX fan boys), but they are known and recognized within their industry for their artistry and performance. Their performance of their song "Shangri-La" (Remix ver.) at the 2017 MBC Music Festival (phenomenal! Here's a link to check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XtzyyVoBz3w.html; I wouldn't necessarily react to it because sometimes live performance reactions get copyright strikes, but you should watch it anyway) got them invited to perform for the Olympic committee, which is pretty cool.

If you want a real horror MV and a banging song, VIXX Voodoo Doll is pretty much the best! I also recommend "comedy rock group" Norazo--they're kind of a fusion group with elements of Korean trot music and rock (largely because rock isn't very big in Korea) but their stuff is really interesting and you don't really find vocalists better than Lee Hyuk. I recommend Sales King or Wild Horse. B)

HELL yeah,, I think Chase Me was their first song and I was immediately hooked on them. Goodnight is their best so far imo though, but they have not disappointed in their singles

You need to watch Fly High which is a Prequel Music Video to these two videos. Its a very important part of the Storyline and completes the story along with the follow on music videos of You and I, and What. You won't fully understand the storyline without watching it.

Fly high is the prequel of this story and it's more of a edm-ish rock infused type of song since it was releeased in summer then the last part is "You and I" when they try to break from the curse but one cant make it and that's the end of the story haha. They released another song that is called "Full Moon" and is pretty cool! I don't know the band but their producers are Ollounder and LEEZ for these two songs and Full Moon!

Dreamcatcher "Fly High" is how the became "nightmares". Is more light and pop than the others song but still good "Full moon" dont have a full mv but is a great song. I will recommend that you guys watch the live version of this song so you can see how they are on stage. They have many darks and dramatic lives presentation that are great

There's also Full Moon that's super cool, doesn't have a full video, just the choreo, I recommend watching the live version tho cuz it just is more climactic, the one where they're in suits

I noticed how mentioned Korean idols have great facial expressions and could probably do really well in acting. A lot of idols do branch into acting or theatre and tend to see great success. There has also been some groups who debuted specifically as idol/actor. Also while I'm here I thought I'd recommend FT Island, N-Flying, Royal Pirates, Drug Restaurant, B.A.P and Block B - most of them are definitely rock rather than pop and others do really well to incorporate rock elements. They've played with a live band before during a rock festival. I know Yoohyeon played guitar earlier, don't know if she kept up with it. Dami has written lyrics for songs on their new album. Siyeon was the main vocalist in a HS rock band, and attends ONE OK ROCK concerts alone. They're all fans of Babymetal and have mentioned them a couple of times. Rock isn't a huge genre in Korea, so they're taking a gamble with this concept. Luckily international fans are giving them a lot of support.

Dreamcatcher debuted on Friday the 13th with a horror concept MV. Actual legends.

At your comment about how kpop idols could be actors: a lot of them are. Kpop idols are like a mix of singing/raping (sometimes both) and dancing, as well as modeling and acting. Some also write and/or produce music as well (it tends to be rappers but its not exclusive to rappers). Nice video tho 👍

Check out FtIsland, Lee Hongki is their lead vocalist he is known for his raspy unique and powerful voice. They are my number favorite Korean band. I actually found the group threw a kdrama called You're Beautiful that Hongki acted in. Pathfinders is one of their most recent songs and one of my new favorites but I would recommend Wind(one of their rock ballads it's very beautiful) and Take Me Now(one of their more hard rock songs)
