Not all metalheads are intolerant towards other genres. I'm pretty sure I listen to more heavy metal than these dudes, but I also like AOA, Twice, Momoland, Secret, and also other genres.
Fun fact for you guys, the Korean pronunciation of the song (as sung) "deol deol deol" is an onomatopoeic word which means shaking/trembling. It's often used to describe being cold, which is why the video has a lot of temperature motifs (greenhouse, steaming vent, them in a fridge, the warm to cold colour changes etc.) The song is about a girl chastising a cheating boyfriend and him trembling in front of her. The song samples WTF (Where They From) by Missy Elliott too (so technically you maybe have heard it on the radio lol).
Oh my gosh, and that's without their lead singer! Their lead singer, Solji, has been out with thyroid issues for over a year, but she's back now, and will be on their next release. She also was their vocal coach before she joined, so the one with the rocking voice Hylein sounds a lot like her. But seriously, check out EXID's Lady next. Especially if you like good videography.

@@Gusmcarthur Solji's vocals were actually in DDD, but the comeback they had a couple of months ago "I Love You" was her first song fully back with the group - she was in that video and involved in promotions for the first time since her illness.
With Hani's purple hair she had to bleach her head 5 times in order to be able to get it that colour and she caused her whole head to bleed.... now that's dedication.
The song is Deoldeoldeol which kind of translates to "trembling". Their rapper LE produces and writes most, if not all, of their music, and so a lot of it is kind of punny and has hidden messages, and is very clever and very catchy. They're also in control of their sexuality in a way not many Kpop groups are. Hani (long dark hair, glare) had a very famous viral fancam of their EXCELLENT song Up&Down/Wiarae which made them blow up, and it kind of spells out their appeal (even musically). The girl singing the chorus is Hyerin and her voice is great (she's got so good in the past year or so). Their lead singer Solji is taking a break now so Hyerin's getting her chance to shine, because Solji has one of the best voices and vocal ranges in Kpop, and she always overpowers Hyerin. Think Hyerin but turned up to like...11. She's currently on the Korean show King of Mask Singer (an anonymous singing competition where all contestants wear masks so they're only judged on their vocals) as Dongmakgol Girl. DDD is a reference to trembling/ shivering, and that's why you can see the temperature going up/ down, as well as why Hani (purple hair, she's actually a certified genius and i love her), is wearing that big coat and is in that room with smoke (it's more like steam, you know like how your breath makes clouds). The girl who sings the chorus you were referring to is Hyerin, the rapper with the ponytail is LE who writes/ produces sooo much music, and the girl with the blue shirt is Jeongwa

Idk how I missed this notification considering I've had DDD on repeat for the past 2 days BUT I'm glad you guys like it! This is one of my fav EXID MVs, if you want to check out some of their others there's comments down here talking about Up & Down, L.I.E, and I recommend Lady which is their latest song. Every Night is also my fav EXID song to date, it's a breakup song about a girl who knows her ex is just calling her as a booty call but she can't help going back to him. The MV is like, very strange too, I think you guys would be really surprised and laughing :)
If you want to hear vocal performances i definitely recommend their lead singer Solji singing Maria on masked singer. She's an amazing singer. Also Hani (girl with the blonde hair) has such a unique voice and is really good despite not being the main singer (her performance on Masked singer singing Honey is also great).

I have to applaud you for pronouncing the groups name right straight away, I'm a K-pop fan and called them EXID (as in Exit) but you were right with E X I D, it's short for Exceed in Dreaming.
SOME INFORMATION: DDD usually used in korea when you are shivering. MV is made like when beat in the song changes, the temperature also changes(INNOVATIVE). ** Also, I highly RECOMMEND to react to the DDD PART SWITCH VERSION. You guys will be a lot surprised** EXID is pronounced letter by letter. They are 5 member girlgroup. They debuted in 2012 but didn't get any attention that time and therefore went on a hiatus for 2 yrs. They tried their luck one last time with a single called 'Up & Down'. Although it also got no attention initially and not even in top 100 charts when released but few months later one member Hani fancam got viral (it has 27M views now, still most watched fancam in kpop) and thus after 4 months, they topped the charts and invited on music shows even they stopped promoting months back). After then they are releasing bops continuously. Their main vocal and leader solji is not in the MV because she was on break during that time due to her diseases since Dec 2016. She has just recently started performing with group again after almost two years. During her break, Hyelin(whose voice Honan liked) took the role of main vocal. They both are amazing singers. LE is the rapper of the group and the second highest song credits among female idols. She write almost every song of exid and also wrote for other artists. Jeonghwa is the maknae and lead dancer of the group and she is a real beauty (well, all of them are). She also has done some lead roles in few dramas. EXID is actually a five member group. Their leader, Solji, was on hiatus for a couple years to tackle some health issues, but she's recently rejoined the group. The group's name stands for Exceed In Dreaming and is always spelled out as "ee ex eye dee". Fun fact, shortly after the group released "Up & Down", the song wasn't gaining any traction and the group was very close to disbanding when a fancam of Hani performing the song went viral and brought them the attention they needed to keep on going.

Another really cool thing about EXID is that they are one of the very few girl groups where a member has songwriting credits on most of their songs. The Rapper LE is a songwriter and has written for other groups as well. G-Idle's rapper Soyeon is also a songwriter. But she hasn't produced anywhere near as many as LE.
The girl with purple hair is Hani. The girl with blue turtleneck shirt is Junghwa(jeong-ha-wa). The girl who is the rapper is Elly(L-E), and finally the girl with a short hair(she sang the chorus) is hyelin(ha-ye-lin). There is still one girl left but she was sick, her voice was really powerful and she is a leader of EXID her name is Solji(seol-gee)
You guys should probably be aware by now that EXID have a new song called 'I Love You' that has Solji back (in the flesh, she did actually record on this) and is pretty great in general. They have a very distinctive style that really does work; the combination of creative instrumentation to form the beat, often with heavy use of sampling, the pairing of the lighter, cuter voices with LE's very distinguishable rapping voice, and then the power vocals in the chorus which usually changes the entire dynamic of the song. Up & Down, Ah Yeah, Lady are must listens too. And if you really want to learn about them, you just have to watch the Hani fancam for Up & Down that exploded so virally it literally saved the group from disbanding.

EXID is my favorite girl group, glad to see you guys react to them. Check out "Ah Yeah" if you want to see them tackle the issue of censorship in the MV, and the issue of predatory behavior against women in the lyrics. They are a great group, and LE is an empowering artist because she writes and produces. All the members are so talented, and hopefully they'll make a full comeback soon with Solji!
their group is pronounced just with the letters - e, x, i ,d. part of the chorus is sang by solji who actually wasn't in this mv (they are a 5 member group but solji who is the main vocal was recovering from health issues). the girl shown at the chorus who sang part of it is hyerin. their previous mvs have solji in it. you already saw 'lady' in your live stream but as many mentioned that song (old school r&b) wasn't a good representation of their style - ddd is a good example of their style. some of their other good songs are: every night ah yeah lie hot pink up & down (was their breakout hit but personally that song takes several listens to really catch on)

Actually DDD is for DUL DUL DUL which in korean is for cold, cold weather. the color in the video changes to blue as the temperature drops. lol it is very cool video. I like EXID a lot.
