You can disable the narration in settings actually

You can turn it off but at the same time that dialogue was literally in the original version of this game.

Samus is an awesome female badass cause the game makes her badass without having to add weak male side characters, or portray men in a bad way in general. We don't have to see her whooping a guys ass cause we already know she can 😂

Not sure if I agree, but an ironic thing to say given the time line.

The Zero Suit in Zero Mission and beyond was the worst thing to ever happen to Samus, honestly. She became more sexualized but in a cheesy Japanese Barbie style that didnt fit the series, imo. I think Prime 1 and Super have the best designs for Samus as a woman, as well as being the two best games in the series overall.

@@theCarbonFreeze It's not the Zero Suit. It's more the constantly pissed-off look they keep giving her trying to make her seem like a "badass". Here, she just looks off and I don't know what Nintendo was trying to do with her.

​@@imafreakinninja12Yeah it's not just the Zero Suit but personally I think that's a factor in the problem. Before ZM, Samus was arguably sexualized in the bikini shots at the end of the game but that was brief and mostly just a show of intimacy. (IE, the threat's over, can take the aluminum jeans off and relax.) Once they retconned the skin tight latex bodysuit into existence they became a lot more comfortable showing her outside the suit for regular, extended periods of time as in ZM and Other M particularly. So it's just an excuse to show her in revealing clothing because she's technically covered up, but in my opinion it feels gratuitous and somewhat fanservice-y. That's my beef with the way the character's been portrayed lately. It sounds like you werent as big a fan of Dread's exageratedly-badass personality? I prefer the slightly toned down, realistic but still assertive Samus of Prime 1 too. But I think Dread cranked it up to 11 specifically to course correct from Other M. With time, hopefully they'll get the balance right in the future. Overall, cant say it enough, Prime 1 and Super had the best characterizations of Samus to me.

@@theCarbonFreeze Well I never played Other M. Samus returns and Dread are basically just fanservice. Especially with Ridley and Kraid showing up out of nowhere for no reason. Showing someone in a skin-tight suit doesn't automatically mean they're being sexualized. I just think her looks have gone downhill ever since she got the Sarah Bryant look, and Nintendo's constant attempts to make her look like a coldhearted badass are annoying. For this game, I just can't tell what they were trying to do with her face, but it looks way off.
