I've been doing hardcore mewing since 3 July 2019 and to be honest I've seen some pretty remarkable changes! My asymmetrical face is improving! Can't believe it but it's happening! So happy!
Dude , during mewing , your tongue isn’t supposed to touch the front teeth, simply pressed on the palate, a half cm back from the teeth, otherwise applying constant pressure on the teeth will push them outwards, much like the teeth of a child who’s sucked there thumb far longer then they should’ve
Yes, this I had a cousin who sucked 2 fingers and he teeth were terrible. He had umpteen thousand dollars worth of dental work to fix it. They put barbs on the back of his front teeth to prevent him from finger sucking. His finger nails are also permanently damaged due to being sucked on ☠️
So... I assumed hard mewing was based on the pressure but it turns out that what he considered hard mewing is actually less than what I do by a large portion.
Alex Talbot, I think he’s wrong about what hard mewing is. You’re literally supposed to mew all the time to have any effect. So, how can mewing itself be hard mewing?
I disagree with Ron's definition of hard Mewing. It really is all about pressure. You likely will not find anyone else defining hard Mewing as being very dedicated.
Do you think you could make chewing food into a paste easier to understand? Because I try to get 20-30 but end up swallowing in habit around 15 chewing motions. Also how do make more use of directly using the tongue to move the food instead of the cheeks? And should I just hold off on habitual swallowing patterns and only swallow when the food is completely grounded up into a paste so that I retrain my self to swallow ONLY when the food is chewed about 20-30 times?
Thanks so much for answering my questions! I agree body posture is super important. I've been working on that for a long time anyway, due to chronic neck pain. In terms of the front teeth, do you mean pushing directly on them (the visible white part), or pushing on the sockets behind them? My tongue is too long for my mouth, so to get it on the roof of my mouth I have to slide it back (for some reason, this doesn't block my airway, though it's not particularly comfortable). When I do that, the front of my tongue pushes against the alveolar ridge. Can that cause loose teeth? I have noticed that area is sore since I started working on tongue posture. I guess I'm leaning toward AGGA, since it would be nice to be able to get my tongue up there without having to do gymnastics. I just really wish there were more science behind it. I applaud your willingness to be a guinea pig, but it's a scary prospect for me. I would put it off, but I also have an open bite I need fixed sooner rather than later.
What you described as hard Mewing is actually the Tropic premise - following good oral posture at all times. When people refer to hard Mewing vs soft Mewing, they are really referring to pushing the tongue against the palate vs. using a light suction hold.

Yes you should. You shouldn’t hard mew though. I think people don’t realize that “mewing” is just simply having proper oral posture. You are supposed to already be “mewing” since you’re a kid. So yes, mew after surgery, but don’t hard mew.
Suction hold and strong toungue > hard mewing and weak tongue, hard mewing is a compensationndor having weak tongue, having bad posture, not chewing,... People who don't do all these fundamentals think you need to hard mew or to split the skull like a piece of wood to grow bone.

@X Assassin its called fagga i think. it works wonders by moving your lower third forward. but it only works well if your face isnt that much downward grown. it will extend your face downwards if ur face is a little too downward
it is interesting coz i have been mewing for a week now, there have been times where the lower row of my front teeth are hurt (but not the upper row), maybe the mouth is just too small and when i try to press against the roof of my mouth, somehow it also presses against the front teeth?
I started hard mewing and I didn't knew that there is something like dominant part of toung and now my jaw is one sided I don't know how to reverse it or fix it if someone knows how to fix it plz help
U can say the letter n, u will feel that ur whole tongue is on ur palate soo, yea u just leave it like that but don't press ur teethhhhh, so leave a bot of space between teeth and tongue, and if u still don't understand go watch, mike mew he explains everything

before I got my braces on, I had a pretty bad overbite. i started to improve my tongue posture while I had braces on. Now that I have them off I tried mewing again and stopped using my retainer for 2 months but there was some relapse with my front teeth. i have no idea if I should continue mewing because I’m scared that there would be a worse relapse that I would need braces again. I need suggestions on what to do

@@herzi8372 yeah it does, we had the same issue before. then, i started breathing with my lungs (rather than just being mindful of the tongue position), then it worked nicely. atleast for me it did. you should feel a cool and open feeling rather than just an enclosed and pressured breathing. i can't describe it well, but i hope i made little help for you.
@@scorpions7153 you see people who have good maxilla have a straight nose and those who don't, well, their nose looks rather woobly The closer the maxilla gets to the nose and the more forward surface it takes up the more it will sustain your nose If your maxilla will change, so will your nose
My tip is: If you force too hard the Back part of your tongue you wont be able to breath at all Just put the Back easily But the hardest part of mewing is that most of us think were breathing porperly But we’re not Just try to focus really hard on the breathe only with your nose Also, sorry about my english, i’m from brazil
I've been mewing for a month now. Tiny change under the chin (less fat). But now I have TMD (my jaw locks) I highly advise you not to Mew. If you notice any popping when you start mewing for a while *STOP* I don't know why this has happened but all I know is that it did! I'm not mewing until I can get more info on this issue. I advise you, do NOT mew.
