0:44 Ocelot’s origins were hidden in those calls. I couldn’t believe it when I got that call and understood everything. It’s unfortunately kind of hidden.
That's the downside of the codec. So many plot points you only discover years later in a RU-vid video... But being able to just stop whatever you're doing and hearing Snake and Paramedic talk about movies absolutely makes for the downside
The sleep talks were in reference to The Boss helping her with her bags, not what you would initially think. That's revealed in a call to her when calling her in Chornyj Prud. And since someone brought up her pet dog Fido being a sleep talk conversation, the dreams are likewise a reference to her dreaming that Fido gets housebroken, not implied beastiality. That's also revealed in another radio conversation, this time within Bolshaya Past South, shortly after encountering the Great Danes.
Snake: Why does Ocelot follows me and eats my stuff?? Eva: Figure it out by yourself ;) Snake: Eva, why is Ocelot writing love letters to me and tells me he loves me? What does that mean? D: Eva: Wow just....wow.
I've played this game more than I can remember. Considered the best game I have the pleasure of playing. AND the best MGS game in my opinion. Still, there are some codec calls that I have never heard before. A decade and so later and this game still surprises me. 15:46: *Grrrhrhhrrhr Mission*
OMG Eva from MGS Snake Eater. She played a role in (Ghost in the shell Stand Alone Complex season 2 ep 13 Make up) as character Kaori toward the end of the episode. The voice is the same as used for Eva !!!!!!!! see for yourself it is a credited to WENDEE LEE
Can I just say this because it bothers me... how does John not realize this whole "scar shaped like a snake" business right when he fights the boss herself!? AGH
I still think that's still just a theory. Not ever confirmed officially by her, David Hayter, or the voice director, to the best of my knowledge. Believe me, I'd love to know who Suzetta Minet really is.
I had convinced myself that i had genuinely become romantically attached to a video game character. Without giving away how EVA was written without spoilers, i had become invested in her character through the radio calls, cutscenes, and of course, the ending of MGS 3. Very few games can pull that off, it just comes to show how well this story was told.
@Radical Thunder probably. I think being immersed in a story is pretty interesting. I don't want to date a video game character, just explaining the impact it had from the way the game was presented.
I don't remember all those lines on MGS3! And I love to talk via Codec. I suppose I don't love it enough lol. Are all those lines in the original PS2 version anyway?
4:34 This line is pretty amusing when you remember how Solid Snake repeats peoples’ information or answers in a questioning tone. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cGOb1TcO-8o.html
imagine if there were records of this and somehow ended up in the hands of Philanthropy Snake: ok whos playing a sick joke on me, just because im big boss's clone and eva was the mother
Why are there still so many codec calls that I never got. Playing the game again now on the Switch I feel like I made calls to everyone every five minutes and still I never heard some of those conversations.
