@@MetalOverlord01 I'm big lover of Martial Arts and Martial artists. Though MJW didnt give that many interviews back in the day, nearly everyone I knew who was into martial arts, knew who he was....I think there were a few articles about him in different M.A / fitness magazines on the different MAs he trains in(this would have been before 2000) I remember reading that he trained with Superfoot amongst others. ...then of course all the films he's been in, admittedly not many compared to some other MA's but then he, Scott, Mark Dacascos etc are all the same in that before the mainstream media pick up on how good they are, the M.A world usually follow their path with much interest - 'the next big thng' as it were..Also, MJW did a lot for the educatiom system. He' helped loads of kids as a teacher....thanks to the internet its much easier to learn about him, but back then when the internet was relatively new, we heard about him through magazine articles etc...hence why I said 'those that know, know'...I didnt mean to come across big headed, but just that I and many like me (so in our mid 40s) knew who he was back when we were in our teens
because serious actors think of him as a "fighter" and serious fighters think of him as an "actor" and he hasn't been in any blockbuster, big franchises. What's the biggest movie and/or franchise Michael Jai White has been in? Don't Back Down? And if you think that last sentence was statement and didn't realize it was a movie franchise that shows how its not a big franchise. Oh yeah and I'm a fan of his. I think he has awesome skill, the look, and I think he is a good actor but yeah seriously underrated.
I dont understand the lesson here. He said it wasn't a jump nor a push off, instead its weight distribution. But just a second before making contact within range, I see he step closer to the back. What exactly is the lesson? Step in first before executing a strike?

All the fighters youve mentioned followed a suite. Mjw is too head strong for that. I only had to watch blood and bone to know that this guy (although he was acting) would in reality tear your head off in a proper street fight. You can tell by the confidence he has even in his acting. Full on alpha male and hes just mad disciplined.
The way you move like its nothing, you're gifted and a humble giant in real life and a solid beast in your movies. Never seen anyone in your size move as quick as you. Inspired God Bless.
I think the biggest problem would be acting ability. Black panther isn't exactly Oscar material but the ability to carry a character like that in a feature film is something that your average film goer isn't going to understand. White could definitely carry an action lead role but it would be more along the lines of a buddy cop film than something with more depth (as action movies go)

This guy is just amazing. I admire him. Great person and actor. And is among the best martial artists of all times. Respect. I believe Michel is way underrated. He is a legend.
This man is legit as it gets. Idk why people say Hollywood doesn't recognize him though. We know him because of his movies, not because he was champion of the UFC. I would have loved to see him fight in his prime in MMA. He would have so many KOs and TKOs.

And we should watch undisputed 2, not only for MJW, but also for Scott Adkins. He played Yuri Boyka in Undisputed 2 and 3, and also in Boyka: Undisputed. According to me, the last movie Boyka: Undisputed is the best in terms of fight scenes. Scott rocked there.

If you play it half speed, he actually IS using a step and pushing off. He just has gotten so natural with his foot position that he consciously controls it by shifting his weight.
One thing is for sure: This dude is not someone id like to ever fight. Id like to see him in UFC though and see how well he would do against others in his weightclass.

Sure he is 52 now, but with 45 years of martial arts experience and with the physical fitness that the man has he would dominate whatever weight class he went into effortlessly. You are a very good actor and due to the passing of Chadwick Boseman, this would be a great opportunity with your martial arts background to be considered as a possible candidate for the roll as Black Panther. You are already in very good shape but with dieting and training obviously I feel you can pull it off. You're never too old to try.

That last one was a little misleading because Jai threw a spin kick or wheel kick or a turning hook kick whichever English terminology you prefer. But instead of covering distance with said kick. Jai changed it to a back kick. Which kind of looked more like a turning side kick from the angle and position of the toes
Michael Jai White is a true martial artist. I enjoyed watching his skills since watching the classic Universal Soldier II movie. With Van Damme, it's still personally one of my most favorite action movies between two martial arts experts and actors. MJW is also a good martial arts instructor. I try to learn a little bit from all of them. I'm a huge fan of many action movies.
Beast! Jackie Chan, Michael Jai W, Jean-Claude VD, Bruce, Chuck Norris, ,Tony Jaa, Jason Stratham, Scott Adkins.. The discipline.. those are some tough SOBs and legends in and Out of the Film world.
