Jordan was the ONLY person Dennis ever respected enough to listen to. Jordan was also the only person to ever not give up on Dennis. Where most saw recklessness, and risk, Jordan saw value.
there was NOTHING better then being a bulls fan as a kid in the 90s! i was actually lucky enough to go to one practice and meet some players and get sone autographs. sadly my mom brought them to her school to laminate and someone came into the CATHOLIC school n stole all the teachers purses 😢
Karl Malone was one of the few guys who could handle Rodman's tactics and not let it throw him off. He would retaliate in a similar fashion, and keep going at him, it was fun watching those two battle because they respected each other but pushed each other to the edge.
You guys are ridiculous. Guy didn’t make the league until he was 25/26. Good player and worked hard but definitely marketed himself very well. Couldn’t shoot and couldn’t pass. Great work rate, tough and obviously could rebound
Rodman vs Malone, epic moment. Man, 90's NBA Is Incomparable. And Dennis Rodman was perhaps one of the best things the NBA has given us. Apart from the big players, of course.
What I would do to see prime Rodman vs Grayson Allen. I bet Allen would cry. As side note I remember people asking Rodman what kind of a role model he thought he was for children. He replied beautifully by saying "Im not in the NBA to be a role model. I'm here to play basketball."
This man was beyond your average NBA player, a true NBA Legend. I heard someone once say that Rodman was the main villain from a previous season, now turned into an ally for the main protagonists in the main story which were Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Similar to Spike from Buffy, Lucifer from Supernatural, Frieza from Dragon ball Z/Super etc etc. (You get the point).
He kinda was considering how hard he went in the paint against the Bulls before joinging them, but they (NBA) still kinda saw him as a villain even more when he joined the Bulls cause he was (and still is, mind you) a individualist and they tried to somewhat keep him down cause he was just different than many other players (he was kinda ahead of his time). They were literally waiting for Rod to make a mistake so they could kick him our of the NBA or at least suspend him for days or weeks LOL. One of my favorite players for sure. Jordan, him and Pippen. He had Jordans respect!
This dude was must see TV... Flat the F out... I had good laughs Man... The NBA will never ever be the same... I can't watch what it is today... I have to be in the mood or something...😃👍🏿
Dennis was the best entertainment for basketball. I remember my young daughters asking to go to the Sun's versus Bulls finals. They told me that they wanted to see Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and especially the crazy guy with the hair. I told them that I'd have to mortgage the house to afford tickets for that.
Ya know what’s incredible - for as much shit as he started/was involved in, is there a single example of him losing his temper? Him v/Malone is hilarious.
Wooow brilliant, amazing edit from the editor, this has to be the best NBA video I have watched, laughing all the way through, truly appreciate the hussle that Rodman played, man is a legend, always with a smile What a time to be alive in 90s NBA, Rodman was a master of mind games, people say he's not intelligent, he's highly intelligent
Watching clips from the era Rodman was a Chicago Bull takes me back through time & I’d rather watch this time period than any live game today. I didn’t know it but June of 1998 was the last time I’d watch the NBA. Basketball started to change with the start of 1999 season. Some sort of intangible magic that made the 90’s NBA compelling vanished, it never returned.
I've seen Draymond Green get fired up and argue with the Refs. If Rodman can do these things to Draymond its over! Draymond is better at shooting, dribbling, & passing BUT Rodman is way better at rebounding and making the opponent tick
Great video, Rodman, one of the greatest rebounder of the game that brought, excitement, drama, fun, laughter, and controversy to the game! There's no one like him! The one and only worm!! Gotta love him!
My all time favorite player in NBA history. I always based my game off of his. Dennis Rodman/The Worm was the man of mind games and getting anyone he faced out of their game.
The "Best Basketball Player of this Generation" such a pleasure to watch and such a competitor and will surely be missed.. Thank God for creating such a player with such talent.
Rodman is Deadpool. You know in the comics those rare mutants or super heroes that professor X and Jean Grey can't even mess with mentally because it's too crazy inside yet still genius level IQ?? That's Rodman!
Dennis Rodman, he is tough the bad boy on NBA history. But i love this guy overall he is funny he will do anything in his own simple ways to win his team.
I don't think Rodman ever thought of being a goat. He just wanted to be Dennis. He played his own way on and off the court and he had fun doing it. The more I see of him the more I like him. Then watch Jordan in some of those clips. Looks like he really enjoyed watching Rodman.
I watched so much NBA with Dennis Playing I could never get enough because i never knew what he was going to do next and he could disrupt and create nothing but hell on the Court. Dennis is and was the greatest Defensive player to play the Game and there will never be another player like Rodman
Dunkman827......Thank You brother.....this is turning out to be one of the best and most enjoyable 55 mins i have had in a long, long time......much appreciated my friend!!!! I have been smiling for about 48 mins straight. Rodman is such a true character on and off the court but you can do that when you back it up with your play!! The NBA is so friggin boring right now. This dood just makes every other player get out of their zone and they look so frustrated and it is killing me to see this from these "stars". They honestly look so confused as well as angry and theres Rodman just grinning!! @8:25 when he rubs his own ass after him and Malone go at it i died man.
