The highlights of Michael Jordan between 1984 and 1993...
the first part of his career before his first retirement.
JORDAN played like a god...he used all the tricks to beat
his oponents...hanging in the air,reverse lay ups,beautifull
jumpshoots,crazy aerial dunks,double pump fake,great pass,
an ultimate and unstoppable player.
there is many great actions and some rare footages in regular
season all in 19 minutes....enjoy.

Sorry kobe or lebron fans, MJ is the GOAT, he has already taken this game to its limitation. It s not about the amount of ring or nvp just look at the man's creativity; his quickness, his moves his beautiful style, the way he shoots the way he blows by ect.. No one will ever come close.
@dpfjdof

Definitely not taken the game to its limits. To say that, he would need to have been a better 3 shooter.

@dpfjdof
@dpfjdof 9 лет назад
wistiti93420 If you say someone has taken the game to its limits, you better believe he'd need to be incredible at every aspect of it. The simple fact is that he wasn't a good 3 shooter. Meaning he hasn't taken the game to its limits--a player with Jordan's skill set + 3 shooting would be that much better. And don't say it's impossible that another person with Jordan's skill set comes along--all we need is a talent lull the likes of which hasn't been seen since...Jordan played, and a star to set himself apart.

The crazy thing is that during his prime, he'd have 6 of these plays a game - He had to… you couldn't finish around the rim easily in the 80s with no 3 sec violation + man to man like you can now. His ability to finish was amazing and unheard of for a guard. To have a SG dancing around all of these big men was a sight to see. He could palm the ball so easily, finish either hand, somehow stayed in the air and could finish either side. He had unguardable moves on the interior and midrange game - unstoppable.

We will not gonna see another player like him, and it's not just for his baskets, lay ups, buzzer beaters shots, dunks, acrobatic shots, is the way he play the game, his mental toughness, his edge to play both offense and defense equal, the way he dominate rivals in an era that in the nba was too rich and exciting to see (80's, 90's and early 2000), and at his prime when teams like Pistons or Knicks where tough to beat, it was hard for him when he was a one-man-show, but when all pieces get together, and he realize to envolve his teammates in the game and winning with them, he become that beast that every team in the NBA feared to face. MJ is a natural winner and a natural athlete, and it doesn't matter wich sports could have him played, I can assure you he will win at all cost. Fortunately for all of us, he play basketball like noone else.

The complete package of athletic gifts. Incredible "turn on" starting power (first step). Incredible ability to stop on a dime and either elevate or change direction. Outstanding one and two foot jumping ability. Incredible lateral quickness. Incredible body control in all planes. Outstanding pure speed. Freakish length (arms and hands), outstanding Relative strength (he was only a 198 lb in the 80s, 212 lb - 218 lb as he got older). Freakish vision according to Bill Simmons (read that story if you can). His flexibility looked to be good although Tim Grover once said MJ's flexibility when he first came into the league was subpar... Possibly the greatest endurance athlete in NBA history, especially when you consider how much of a "fast twitch" specimen he was. Incredible durability. A broken foot was his only prolonged DL injury in his entire career. On top of all of this, he just had a cooler looking body that moved a lot cooler than everyone else. No one since has had all of these gifts in a single package. No, not Lebron, not Kobe, not Westbrook. I like all of them but none of them had this combination of gifts. I wasn't born when Wilt was around so I can't comment there. On top of all these physical gifts, we're talking about the most mentally tough competitor in the history of sports. Lightning quick mental processing, incredible discipline and work ethic. Zone like focus at all times. Arguably the most clutch basketball player ever. A will to win so strong he literally hand mind control over his teammates and opponents (and coaches and refs lol). This guy is an all around human freak like very few others in the history of this planet. Don't expect another one for a VERY long time. If ever.

Besides all that basketball talent he was classy, respectful, loyal. What a great human being all around!!

I didn't witness wilt either. But from the little I could research online in this era, he seemed more like a shaq type player than a MJ type player. He was a center. He certainly had his moments of dominance. I seen a montage of wilt blocks under the board... they look exactly like MJ's blocks in the paint. its another one of the skills mj learned and used. but wilt was huge. mj not so much. Wilt's 100 game is an impressive record mj never broke. but I would still pick mj. based alone on how wilt shot free throws. just like shaq, his huge hands and force didn't allow him to throw normal shots. too big. :)). but he is simply ridiculous. just look it up. wilt throws freethrows. that guy cannot be goat. :) too clumsy. too big. may he rest in peace... nothing but love for you young wilt.

I really have a problem. Everytime I get on my computer I end up watching Michael Jordan videos. I have had this issue for a decade now. But it's so difficult not to admire someone who transcended and absolutely dominated what they did - literally dominating everyone without a single player coming close in any series (Bird being closest), did everything well, created their own moves to adjust to defenses, taking on entire defenses as a guard in an era with big men waiting in the lane? It didn't matter how off balance he was in the air - he had such body control that he'd hit the shot. MJ was a pioneer in an era when we thought it had all been done already. … I've seen highlight videos of this guy with exclusively back-to-the-rim behind the head, contested layups. That's crazy.

hoopfan71 - so true. MJ could square his shoulders in mid air and get the shot off. It didn't matter if he planted his feet sideways, he could straighten out in the air and be accurate - plus he waited until a millisecond after reaching the apex of his jump to concentrate a little more before he released the ball. Incredible.

The more I watch these videos, the more I think MJ is the GOAT simply because he had the best proprioception of any basketball player. Also. While they give him prise for his footwork, I'm no sure if it's been noted that his footwork goes to the extent of affecting his air game. This in the sense that Jordan, to make switch of hands, spinning in the air or air traveling did all of that often needly, along with air footwork (in the form of kind-of-kicking or stepping) to change direction, momentum, of both. This is even useful for one 5'6 like me to beat/overcome some 5'10 dudes.

He is MJ, the greatest of all time. He is the player who elevated tha game of basketball to interesting one. He created moves that until now is emitated by another great player. He is humble player as he did never say that he is the greatest of all time unlike Lebron's self-proclaimation of his greatnes of all time. Every MJ plays, you have great concert of your day. He motivated the children in other country to have interest in game of basketball. He is the player who did not miss final game in NBA. Once he get there, he would have captured the trophy. Majority of legendary players in NBA believe that MJ is the GOAT and only NBA player having insecurities with MJ wolud not recognize him as GOAT like Isiah Thomas.

There is only one quote that I agree with. Jordan practiced and played with plummers his first 4 or 5 years in the league. If the Jordan haters did their homework he played without any all stars during those years. Calling his teammates plummers is a compliment. Jordan saw what he was working with first day of practice and knew he had to be the alpha dog. By game 4 rookie season his teammates realized it too.

that feat at 6:42. i remember it from my childhood. i knew i seen it somewhere. i knew it was jordan. but i was sure it was done in an all star game. perhaps he has done it twice. but that's one impressive feat. he was running before pipen even threw the ball, and he was in air at the same time the ball left pipen's hands. that was one of the coolest things i have ever seen in basketball ever. but i am sure it happened in an all star game as well. same player mj. did the same thing. on the second foul shot, he bursted into air rebound and slam all in one flight... while everyone else on the court looked very foolishly. still, maybe it's not what i remember, but it's still very gratifying. again, i remember seeing this ONCE in an all star game. and now i think i seen it twice. with bulls. are there any other players that done this? slam the second foul shot in such a smooth motion?

incredible footage of THE GOAT , Ive read alot of you guys comments and most of you hit it right on the head , For me after watching the carrier of mj , Its not even worth watching basket ball today , when you done seen it all its pointless , ill give credit to S Curry , he is changing the game , im not sure if its for the worst or better , because alot of his shots are BAD SHOTS , And these kids growing up watching him may imitate him , and that would be horrible for the game , but Mj Is a monster , left hand was stupid !!! Great video , Thanks

fade away from 15 ft with 2 defenders on you is much more impressive than a shot from 30ft away...much more. if i toss 50 shots from half court during practice, i'll make 2 of those next game. I hate what SC has done to the game. it made the game even softer. It opened up the floor and lebron can just drive in freely or made the cuts really easy and they give credit to lebron for an "amazing" pass. how hard is it to cut in when theres only 2 defenders inside the 3pt range and they are the slowest defenders (cen, pf). MJs 7 game series vs the knicks or pacers was more thrilling and more exciting than any of this high scoring games presently.

@ 1:40 or 4:38 or 5:10 or 8:45. This is for the DELUSIONAL Kobe fans that pretend Kobe is more skilled than Jordan. If you take Kobe Bryant best highlights ever, you will see this " NO LOOK SHOT" maybe what? 3 or 4 times. Maybe 5 times maximum in his whole career. This " NO LOOK SHOT" was actually a ROUTINE SHOT for Michael Jordan . It was one of his countless "Jordan signature moves". The ESPN-TNT hype of Kobe Bryant and the ignorance of the young Kobe fans make think that Kobe had all Jordan moves. Just not true ! All Kobe moves come from Michael Jordan's repertoire but that doesn't mean he had all Jordan moves. Not even close ! And the thing is, when you look at Michael Jordan's game, you can see that his game is based on IMPROVISATION or CREATIVITY. For example, there are countless moves or plays MJ did only once...out of nowhere because, like he would say himself, his game is based on creativity. When you look at Kobe's game, you can see his game is based on REPETITION. The repetition of the moves he could capture from Jordan. Jordan is on a whole another atmosphere. AIR...

After watching this video and the video "Rise" (if you havent seen it uet, check it out) I finally realize what makes him better than LBJ, Kobe, Durant, etc. (Aside from god given talent and relentless determination) - Jordan BELIEVED. He believed he could make any shot...defend any player...make any pass. You never saw doubt on his face. Not even, in 1994, when he hit an anemic .202 with 114 K's for the Double-A Birmingham Barons. It's this unrelenting belief in self that allowed him to become the GOAT. That allowed him to be a stone cold aerial assassin. That allowed him to fly.

You can see there's a difference between Jordan and Kobe even though they played a similiar style. Look when they drive to the rim for a layup or a dunk. Jordan beat his opponent in the air, while Kobe beat his while he's still on the ground. Jordan jumped and stays in the air while trying to get an opening for releasing the ball, the opponent couldn't stop him because he stayed in the air much longer than the opponent. While Kobe, he dribbles between all the players until he got the opening to jump and release the ball. Both are very hard to do. That's why both of them, are two of the best scorer in the history of NBA.

He is the only player to have multiple seasons with over 200 steals and 100 blocks EVER. Only other player to do this one time each was Hakeem and Pippen who both did it one time each. Mj was something els man. This man was insanely great on defense 3 time steals champ 9 first team defense 1 DPOY and over 200 steals and 100 blocks multiple seasons as the only player to ever do that more then once. Add to that 10 scoring titles and the highest PPG average ever in the regular season and in the playoff while being the most clutch player ever having the best midrange game ever top 3 dunker ever hands to control the ball like only very few could and the highest vertical ever. Having the highest PER in the regular season and in the playoff ever and is number 1 in all the other analytics and his accolades is insane 6 fmvps 5 regular season mvps. 2 3 peat and being 6-0 in the finals never even been to a game 7. Was the rookie of the year and in his rookie season he had better stats then Kobe in his prime mvp season. Having the 2 greatest stretch of basketball ever from 87-93 and then having the second greatest stretch ever from 1996-1998. Mj is the goat easily.

This is a very well put together video, I really enjoyed the music, the choice of highlights, a lot of them I have not seen before. I think you selected a lot of his best highlights, I know it can be difficult selecting which of his highlights to choose, he has so many great ones, but I absolutely love these highlights. This man was simply the best to ever do it, I don't care what argument you coming with, I can't see anyone else out performing this man, Mr. Michael Jeffrey Jordan. The undeniable G.O.A.T. end of story.😛💯🔥

If Rembrandt could've looked into the future and created a basketball masterpiece he would've created Michael Jordan. What those of us who were blessed to live through the Jordan era witnessed will never be duplicated. Michael is the consummate GOAT. Arguably the greatest athlete of all time...beyond a doubt the king of the basketball world. Every game that is post-Michael Jordan is anti-climactic to say the least. I would rather spend hours watching videos of MJ on RU-vid than watching "trashketball" played today. The game now is a shell of what it used to be....

Controlled explosiveness, very strong, large hands, long arms, no telegraphing moves or motions, efficient on defense and offense, fearless against anybody, patient, long gait when running or cutting to the basket and can rain down vengeance at will. MJ almost always ran or moved with his knees slightly bent and knees almost knocked if that makes sense. It allowed him to change direction moving or from a stand still with no effort. The man was always in control. There will be another player like him. Ever.

What more can I say. His athleticism was the best the game has seen. Also his fundamentals were top in the game all time. His agility and body control for his size is incredible. Cat like quickness with extraordinary explosiveness. Many can jump but MJ can jump and hang like no one else. Offensively and defensively, on both sides he was great. His handles were great and his hands were amazing. I slept on his in and out but that was great also. What more can I say. 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀 💯💯🔥🔥
