MICHAEL SCHENKER PERFORMING LIVE,2012 MICHAEL SCHENKER ( LEAD GUITAR) DOOGIE WHITE ( VOCALS ) FRANCIS BUCHHOLZ ( BASS ) WAYNE FINDLAY ( KEYS. GUITARS ) HERMAN RAREBELL ( DRUMS )
Wow, Michaels playing is awesome on this. One of the best performances Ive seen of Michael too in a long time! Cool to see Francis and Herman as the rhythm section too.
Schenker pulled out all the stops on that performance. Unreal. What a genius to create that amazing riff and one of the best, most melodic and technically difficult solos ever. Top 10 rock guitarist of all time. 40 years of work into that song and it is truly incredible. The guy is a legend.
How much fucking better a world would there be if just people would stop and fucking listen to music like this. Very, very well done and thanks to AXEFLYERFV!!
Yeah I was lucky enough to see him in 2012 at the Shepherds Bush Empire................he absolutely smashed it!! Schenker will always be in my top 5 of all time, no-one else's tone comes even close :)
It's amazing to have seen the evolution of this song over the years, from the original studio recording through all the live performances. Out of the millions of licks he has improvised on this song, this is a collection of the best.
Michael is like something from another planet here. The melody, the phrasing, the tone, the emotion- out of this world good. And he doesn't sound like anyone else because he doesn't listen to almost anything. Here he is pulling up Strangers in the Night phrasing and riffs.
Wow! Michael Schenker is now tied with Ritchie Blackmore as my favorite guitarist(s). But for sheer shredding, as in this video, Schenker wins, hands down.
the solo in this is just mindblowing, an absolute masterclass in rock guitaring, i've seen schenker live a few times over the years ( UFO MSG), at one of the ufo gigs years ago, he was terrible, bum notes all over the place, pete way was propping him up he was so out of it, i thought that was the end of schenker, he was like that on most of the tour, but thankfully he is back to being his brilliant self as this video shows, didn't think he would ever top the strangers in the night version, but how wrong was i, sheer class, thank god for schenker
I've seen Page, Blackmore, Iommi, Beck, Clapton, Vaughan, Bonamassa and Van Halen live. Michael Schenker's live performance was the greatest I've ever experienced.
So glad Michael Schenker is (finally) back on track, so strong, after so many years 'off' :-). And let's be serious: Doogie White is by far the best vocalist, with the widest range, he ever worked with. They match... As the whole band do :-). A few years ago I sent a mail to Michael and to Doogie, suggesting that they had to try 'to work together for something...'. No idea if these mails did it, but: imagine how surprised I was when they teamed up :-). And, as we can see: it works!!! Happy :-).
Michael Schenker - Great Version of UFO's Rock Bottom with Doogie White singing in Europe. Coming to BB Kings this month! The entire Temple of Rock Concert is on RU-vid also. The concert is an awesome mix of UFO songs, MSG, Scorpions and new songs.
Michaels' playing sounds great he's probably better than ever. I met Herman (ze German) Rarebell and bought his biography. Super nice guy and a pretty good book about mostly life in the Scorpions.
Rockin Roll Michael schenker and UFO Nothing can compare except Black Sabbath :D No guitar ever sounded sweeter or more powerful played with the best fingers in Rock.
Wayne Findley is underrated. He gave Michael a bit more freedom as Wayne could play too. I love Paul Raymond who had that something, (R.I.P.) but Wayne doubles Michael in many spots so he can play off of the crowd or whatever pops into his head. And Herman + Francis lockin' down the rhythm. Didn't they do two live recordings in like 3 years with this line-up? Smokin! 7:25-8:20 third degree burns man. Whoa.
Holy Mother !!! One of my first records was Strangers in the Night. Never heard a better performance than that one. But I have to reconsider my opinion. He really does some genious things here. And very melodic, yes indeed. Think he is really in a good flow on this one. Very smooth performance. The vocals are not to good is my humble opinion.
I know he uses 2 Boss DD-3,s delay pedals he must have them both on at the same time here because his guitar has never been this wet or Michael Voss added some extra delay in the mix a little bit overkill otherwise very good!
Best sound. Best lineup. Best performances. The bass sound in this show is bombastic! Thanks AXEFLYERFV for uploading this on-the-fretboard view. Check out the whole show from other cameras here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s2iF3MKfCgE.html
Also, der Schenker is echt super...vorallem das ellenlange Solo....
