I just put Continentals on my SL550 and it's a much quieter road holding tire. The sidewall is stiff enough to hold the turns and soft enough to allow for a smooth ride. I took the car up to about 160mph and again it was smooth without the shuddering that my old tires had. Highly recommend.

I love watching your videos man, i’m not a car enthusiast, but i love driving. When i bumped into your videos, i started gaining knowledge and interest in vehicle parts and etc. And btw, yes. Bridgestone has been my go to tire, it is my preferred brand as i haven’t encountered any problems with it in my HT and AT tires on my truck. It is quite sturdy and durable and it is great in Highway and Wet Roads. As the other preferred other brands for off road, i like my Bridgestone as i was never stuck nor punctured. Thanks man!

Great review! The format and video is very professional and concise. Based on watching this I just ordered the Michelin Pilots for my Acura TSX. A friend who has the same car bought the Continentals so I look forward to doing our own back to back comparison. Tires are so important yet they are so compromised in their qualities it's impossible to know how they perform based on expectations, vehicles, climate, etc. Your reviews make it enjoyable and educational to understand the differences. Thank you again.

I fitted the a/s4 on my legacy before summer, and it is so sure footed I feel like I'd need beefier stabilizers to take better advantage of tire's capability. Car is glued to the road, turns great and quite frankly, I had not managed to make them squeal around corners yet even if content of the cabin is getting tossed around lol! No usually I don't drive like I stole it, so after the season and few thousands of kilometers there is literally no apparent wear showing. Won't drive them in winter as I have dedicated winters waiting, but after watching this it almost is tempting to push change over until I get to try them in snow lol! Great review!

🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Always a pleasure to see these videos pop up. Much better wet course too with the cones. If I don't sell this car for a truck, I'll grab the Michelin tires to run in the 2nd half of winter. I've been running the Conti since later winter, and put maybe 30k miles on them so far. My tire setup is staggered and the rear tires are still holding up very well. I do drive spirited most days. I don't do hard acceleration or hard braking, rather progressive with both and I sorta break like a chauffeur. My cornering technique is similar to Rob Wilson the F1 instructor to conserve tire wear but also going faster around turns/curves. I generally run the high psi setting on my W212. 35-36F, 37-41R Cold Tire pressure. Warm tires pressure ends up being 38-39F, 40-43R depending on temp's, speed, time of day, etc. I had 2 punctures to the rear passenger tire. 1 nail and 1 razor blade 🤦🏾‍♂️ on different occasions. Both patched and no issues up to triple digits. Rain speeds on the Conti is excellent up to around 20k-25k miles, then it drops off to normal All Season speeds. Where I could go 80-90 in heavy rain new, I'm only pushing 65-70. No I don't drive super fast in the rain, just did some test to it's limit. Hydroplane resistance is really good on a RWD car that's also staggered which should perform worse in the wet than a square setup on FWD or AWD. These tires are excellent and the best All Season tires I've ever owned. Much better than the prior DWS06 where those were shot at around 15k-20k in the rear. These ones have added at least another 15k-20k miles of durability to the rear tires and I have yet to need an alignment. I predict the front will go beyond 50k miles easy and the rear will need replacing around 45k-50k which is typically 25k-30k. 245 front 265 rear

I’ve got the DWS 06+ on my E36 M3, and I find them to be unbelievably good in the dry for an all-season. No sense of squirminess or tread block rollover, even after running summer tires on the car for years and years. In fact, they seem to have more lateral grip than some of the summer tires I’ve used. Overall, they’re just amazing tires. Can’t see myself going back to using dedicated summer tires unless they’re fitted to a set of track day wheels.

Awesome video! You have become my go to expert for deciding which tires to buy. In the past I have relied on the testing done by a certain well known retailer but have become a bit suspicious of their results after buying the tires they recommend. I have started to wonder if they have certain tires they want to sell. No idea if this is factual, just speculating. For example, comparing the same tires you did in this test, they gave the Continental the edge in comfort over the Michelin AS4 which is the opposite of your experience. Anyway, It appears to me that your tests are very well done, real life unbiased tests which I really appreciate! Thanks!

a very well-done review! I installed 235/45ZR-17 DWS06+s on my W210 Benz this summer, and the amount of grip they have (dry and wet) is frankly ridiculous for an all-season tire - just unbelievable. in fact, these tires are so sticky that for the first 50 or 60 miles, it sounded like the car was driving along on 4 giant lint rollers! steering feel, ride compliance, and resistance to hydroplaning are also excellent. after several thousand miles I'm pleased to report that while the sticky-linoleum sound effects have gone away, both the leech-like grip on the asphalt and my undying affection for the DWS06+ remain. it's an outstanding choice if you need all-season performance.

I'm hopeful for the Pilot Sport AS4 on my AWD Mazda CX-5 this winter (in Iowa). I ran ExtremeContact DWS on my FWD Mazd6 wagon as my summer tires from their original launch. They were ok in occasional light snow but I'd switch to my Blizzaks anything >2". I then ran DWS on my 4matic C300 and was always happy, but never faced heavy snow due to COVID lock-down and working remote. The CX-5 is now my only vehicle. I do have some freedom to work from home, but I can't hide due to snow. Hopefully the Pilot Sport AS4 were a good choice. If not I'll pick-up some Blizzaks on extra rims. LOVE your page/reviews.

Thank you for this review. I am heading to the track this weekend and local temps took a huge plunge with 4 hours of my weekend commute under 10*F. I just didn't trust my Michelin summer tires to keep me out of a ditch or perhaps even completely delam out in the cold so I took my spare wheels in and mounted the Conti DWS 06+. These should get me to and from the track just fine and with track temps looking like 32F-58F they should still be fun without being completely destroyed through overheating. No track records this weekend just a lot of fun on a completely new course. We shall see how it goes!

I've been driving on the Continental DWS series since it was first introduced the newest incarnation DWS 06+ I love it, it's quiet, smooth and wears like steel not to mention the grip and no hydroplaning in a downpour. I also feel confident in the snow' it's the best non-snow tire I've ever driven on. Sadly, my newest car (VW Alltrack) requires a load rating of 95 and the DWS 225/45/18 only comes in 91 load index rated tire. I bought the Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus which has a 95 rating and it's better than the continental performance wise but not as good in the All Season aspect I'm happy with it but wish I had the Continentals BTW tire wear on both is very very good.

Not surprised by the Conti's performance, as the original DWS06 was fantastic on my 500hp Audi Q7. Absolutely amazing tire which only once gave me a moment of terror, but that involved a sudden torrential downpour and a bad Texas road in the wee hours of the morning. Let's just say I'm eternally grateful for an oddly placed exit lane...

I actually have been using uhp all seasons for winter only for 15+ years on my sports cars. 2 Camaros, e46 m3, Ctsv, 2 mustangs and now my 16 M4. Current dws 06 are worn down and looking to replace.. might consider the Bridgestone but leaning towards the conti again. Have read they are 3-6lbs lighter than the dws06.. which for my dad with lightweight wheels and ccbs will make for a nice ride. Reason I use all seasons is because here in Toronto we get maybe 1-3 drives all season in actual deeper snow . It’s usually salted and plowed and dry 95% of the winter and I hate the heavy and numb feeling of winters like the blizzak lm25/60 etc. plus come summertime when I pull off the HREs to deep clean I can put on the winters and actually enjoy the car and not worry about wear. how do they do in the snow? considering getting them over the Michelin because they are significantly cheaper where I live, but if its a big compromise I'm not sure if it's worth the savings

@rukki8497 I haven't seen heavy snow with them, the reviews seem good though. I will say this though, it is the single most confidence inspiring tire I've driven in the rain. I used to hate driving in heavy rain and now it's no concern at all, the car stops and turns like it's dry.

@@FurkanCemTurfanda thats good to know. getting the contis installed friday and in Utah where I'm at snow isn't a huge issue mainly cold and a lot of wet so good to hear they do amazing in the rain. Excited to get off the tires that came on my GTI, just some cheap all seasons that feel awful

good thing about Bridgestone potenza I've been riding for 20 years they always stay in balance I never have any flat tires and no weird vibration or flat tires or need road hazard insurance as long as you rotate and balance every 5,000 mi you're good to go and check your air pressure picture drops on cold tires Bridgestone potenza got it going on 980 AS Plus number 1 on tire rack right now!!!

This is the perfect video for me at the moment as I'm looking to replace the tires on my car by the end of the year. I was torn between these exact models of Michelin and Bridgestone and it's nice to see a direct comparison between both. As far as I can tell, they're both very good tires. The price difference between both full sets is about $100 so I might save a bit and go for Bridgestone.

I purchased the Continental DWS-06 Plus thanks to your previous test & review. I am quite satisfied with them. It is good to see that they remain at the top of the ranking. I just could not justify paying more for the Michelin (which I am a fan of and tend to favor) when the Continental is nipping at their heels. So far I am happy and satisfied with them!

@@tyrereviews can't wait to see the comparisons since it's tough to gauge the differences when you jump tire categories (and videos!). Like, how good is a UHP A/S tire vs All-Weather vs grand touring A/S in the dry, rain, and snow? Is it all marketing or is it objective?

I bought a set of DWS06+ for my high horsepowered Fusion Sport AWD this spring. Love them and hope to see if they actually work as well as you say in the occasional snowfalls that we get get here in lower Michigan. Regardless, as they are already in my garage from previous seasons, I still will be swapping them out for the winters X-Ice Xi3 on 18" rims in December. I do drive up to snow country in Northern Michigan multiple times in the winter.

I’m glad and thankful and grateful that I got a used set of 4 Bridgestone Potenzas for $100 a tire ($400 total) when my tires needed replacing. Tread was still good but man those tires were loud and had noticeable road noise compared to my Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons. Even some cheaper tires I had (Ironman imove gen 2 AS and Achilles Desert Hawk) were quiter than my Bridgestone Potenzas. The Bridgestone Potenzas I still like; good tread but very noticeable road noise.

I run DWS06+ on my 2016 Subaru STI and my 2002 Lexus is300 with a 1jzgte vvti for daily stuff, absolutely love them they do so well with both AWD and RWD cars in my experience. Both cars put down roughly 330hp and I can safely commute and also hookup some power for fun if I want to. Will never run another tire for daily applications. I've auto-x'd on my STI aired down to 30psi with them too and they did really well and I keep them up front when drifting in my lexus for control and air them down to 25psi and swap to some cheapies in the rears for track days. 245/40/18 on the sti 215/45/17 on Lexus
