It's always heartbreaking, when someone dies so young as Michelle Thomas, did. When I heard that she had cancer, I was shocked & when I heard she had passed away, it was even more shocking. A good wholesome show indeed. I think Jaleel White and Malcolm Jamal Warner were really genuine in speaking of Ms. Thomas. She was a lovely talent. She was a good friend to me. We met in circa 86 on a NJT train, both coming back from entertainment work. So sweet and girly! NJ being both of our homestate. Her dad played trumpet in Kool & the Gang. DT. Nice man. I'll never for when we met she was wearing like a white faux fur stole and she was so tiny beside me! We remained friends. She live in Caldwell, i lived in Edison. Last time we were together i remember she had gotten into walking over hot coals! We were both open to metaphysics but i lol, "No way am i trying to walk over any hot coals!" She lol and tried to convince me how amazing it was and i should give it a try for a big breakthrough. I do Miss her blinding smile. I was never a fan of Family Matters because i knew she was so much more than that show! 🤍
Michelle was a bright spark of light who visited us for a short time to share her talents. She was so vivacious and so pretty and too young to leave. But there's a time for everything under the heavens. May her soul have peace back home. 🙏🏼 Thank you for the memories. 🌷

I knew her. We went to school together and she was very, very sweet and genuinely friendly and naturally beautiful. I used to help her with her Spanish homework and make her laugh--she had a precious laugh and was never fake. Her mom is beautiful too and was also very nice and funny. Michelle was such a darling and not at all stuck up/conceited.

Natalie Deselle (played Mickey in Baps) was my classmate throughout jr high and high school...we grew up in the same neighborhood. You can still find videos of her on the red carpet stating to not sign contracts unless you have an attorney etc...well she also died of stonach cancer.
Michelle was one of those people when you hear about their passing a sadness take over your being. She was special and I'm happy that she was held by Malcom as she made her transition.
I was in the entertainment field for a few years. Lived in NY and Los Angeles, briefly. It's a very stressful business. L.A is GRIMY. Demonic. Nuff' said .
She saved my life. 🕊️ I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer around the same time and was also given the diagnosis of no children. My doctor called me after hearing about her death on the radio and told me my time was up and it was time to schedule my surgery. I did and they found it had spread. I cried about never being a mother. I ended up adopting my son a year later. 9 years later I adopted a daughter. I wasn’t a Family Matters fan so, I didn’t know who she was until my doctor started talking about her situation. 😢
God bless everything worked out for you. Michelle Thomas died at such a young age of 30. I lost my dad at the age of 31 since losing our loved ones at such a very early age hurts. I was only 2 and a half years old when my dad died. R.I.P. for all our loved ones that have passed away over the years.
There is a tribute at the end of one of her soap opera episodes that I saw some years ago. At the very end of the tribute, it showed her it showed her standing on a stage singing Good Morning Heartbreak😢😢😢 her voice was indeed of an Angel. It was so beautiful. She was so beautiful inside and out and it's a damn shame that just simply being yourself, not hurting anybody, and actually being talented, isn't good enough for the elites in the industry. I think of White amd Thomas and their phenomenal acting talent, and i wonder how they didn't become bigger stars after playing such iconic characters. They clearly would have sacrificed way too much. I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard her sing on the young and the restless, beautiful voice, she played Cali. I was heartbroken when she passed. I couldn’t wrap my head around how someone so young and vibrant could pass like she did.

Michelle was such a bright light. You see it whenever she is onscreen and in her pictures. I never met her, but could tell she had a great spirit. People who knew her have nothing but great things to say about her and I believe it. I remember when she passed and I was so sad about it. I loved her on Family Matters and Young and the Restless.
Soon as you said she wanted a baby😢..I Seen her at a restaurant in Hollywood sometime in the 90s ,she was with a friend I believe.There was a couple with a small cute baby sitting in a high chair. Michelle went over to the couple and told them how cute their baby was...She was so sweet and nice when she spoke to the family .She was absolutely beautiful .

Also, Laura was not mean, Steve literally tore up their house every other day. I would have been mean to him, too. I grew up watching Family Matters and it was amazing how she just lit up the screen. I thought she had just been typecast or quit acting. Having watched quite a few of my family members die from cancer, I've learned that it originates from a spiritual Dis-Ease. Physical health helps, but is not a deterrent. She was an angel on earth who served her purpose because her impact reverberated well beyond her years. She is at peace and rested now🙏🏾

I can't watch reruns of Family Matters because I get so angry and sad over how they treated her and Mr White. She had the grace, beauty, and star quality of an A list actress. Deserved so much better than she got.

Myra was always so happy and innocent yet assertive and classy and she loved Urkel and vibed with him although his heart always belonged to Laura who won him in the end. What an incredible story 😢

Your final thoughts about why, Michelle passed away during a young age has really resonated with me. My sister, passed away from breast cancer at the age of 51. Leaving behind two young boys. When you said that, maybe Michelle passed away at the young age of 30 was that God was protecting her from further ominous misdeeds. I 💯% agree with you. I believe that Hollywood has a lot of secrets in regards to evil monsters within that industry. Michelle made decisions, based on her beliefs.Yes, she protected herself, & stayed true to her values & morals. I thought my sister's passing away at 50 was young. It was a nice and beautiful tribute to her. I had the pleasure of meeting her and she was so sweet. Even though she was a celebrity and we didn’t know each other like that, she looked at me as if she knew me and we had a little connection. We were the same size, even though I think her feet were a little smaller than mine. She will never be forgotten and she is truly missed. RIP and may the arms of the Lord hold you for eternity. 🙏🏼🥰💐

How does that happen? A similar case of a healthy vs crappy diet eater. My friend dated a guy who was a vegetarian (from the womb). Not only did he not eat meat but he was also into seaweed, herbs, and all things healthy (all natural) for the body. In contrast, my mean uncle Holmes drank (Ballentine Ale) excessively, smoked Tarrytown cigarettes a pack a day, ate Pig’s Feet, and other so-called unhealthy foods. My friend’s guy passed away at age 27. He got sick and Doctors didn't know what to do. While my Uncle Holmes lived a strong spry life and died on his born day at the age of 77. Life is a mystery. As for her chasing Steve U it was just acting and this gorgeous beauty difinately played the part!👍🏾😀
