How is this guy still able to walk. He has taken more punishment than just about any main stream wrestler ever. He was amazing in his day.

UNDERTAKER, SHAWN MICHAEL'S, STONE COLD, ROCK, HHH, MICK FOLEY, BRETT HART. You'll never find a time period that had every single one of these guys in wrestling at the same time. They will never find this much talent in wrestling at the same time ever again. The greatest era ever will always be the ATTITUDE ERA

To me Mick Foley is no.1 because no one has ever dedicated themselves to the fans as much as he did. he would do literally ANYTHING to entertain them whatever the cost, and to me he deserves massive respect.

Depends how you define great, if it's a draw, then it's Hogan as no one was hotter and did it longer than hogan. He took the wwf brand national, then he crossed over to wcw and took it to Vince. But mick Foley made wrestlers better. He was amazing. I love Foley

My top 5: 1- Bob Backlund (my childhood hero, a real-life Superman whom I believed in...I was 10 in 1981 when I started watching, and month after month, year after year, I'd run to the newspaper with baited breath, checking the sports pages to make sure Backlund was still champion the morning after a Monday night MSG card...I remember him going through Adrian Adonis, Jesse Ventura, Don Muraco, and so many others...until late `83, and you know the rest! But seeing Backlund a handful of times at MSG feud against Bob Orton, Billy Graham, and Sgt. Slaughter, just pure joy. 2- Roddy Piper (almost interchangeable as my #1) 3- Hulk Hogan 4- Bret Hart 5- Chris Jericho Of course, I love Flair, HBK, HHH, Taker, Stone Cold...and I'd like to put Benoit in my top 5.

1) Shawn Michaels - Essentially had two wrestling careers (1988-1998 and 2002-2010) both of which are Hall of Fame worthy respectively. If you're judging on the quality of the matches then his body of work is unrivaled. Most wrestlers are lucky to have one classic match a year. HBK had one every month. 2) Bret Hart - Just an absolute master of the craft, he could work with anybody regardless of size, style or era. He had classic matches with most people he got in the ring with. In some cases a wrestlers ONLY classic match may have been with Bret (Kevin Nash or Roddy Piper for example) which says enough. If he was still going today he'd be making fans care a lot more about John Cena matches for a start. 3) The Undertaker - What more needs to be said? A living legend (undead legend?), master storyteller, and the greatest gimmick in the history of the business. 4) Ric Flair - He may not be the best, but the fact that that's how he's always described says enough about his impact on the business and his peers. He's on my list for being such a versatile and high quality performer, and a generational chameleon (he's wrestled in 5 separate decades!). Nobody has his resume. Who can say they've had marathon matches with Steamboat, hardcore matches with Foley and ladder matches with Edge? Only Naitch... 5) Steve Austin - Arguably had the biggest impact on the modern era (if the "stone cold" character had come around while he was still with WCW then things would look very different today). Took all the good guy/bad guy stuff and basically shoved it up your a**. But again, just judging on the matches the guy was incredible, whether you're a wrestling purist or a casual fan who just likes steel folding chairs, Austin is your man.

I'm only 20 so obviously my top 5's mostly 90s guys and onwards because they were who I grew up watching, but I appreciate the older guys too: 1) Chris Jericho - Just love his rock star persona and his ability to play a face and a heel to equal success, between his mic work, in-ring ability, charisma, look, presence and popularity, the best total package ever. 2) Kane - Thought he was the coolest thing ever as a kid, the mask, the mystery, the fact he wasn't scared to take on the freaking Undertaker, also now that I'm older I can appreciate his work ethic and loyalty. 3) Brock Lesnar - Total freak of nature, seeing him destroy guys like Hogan, Taker and Rock as a kid made me think he was the baddest man on the planet, his athletic ability is astounding. 4) Chris Benoit - Hard to include him in the list after what he did but he was the guy who made me see wrestling as more than just entertainment, he made me appreciate the technical side of it, his match with Kurt Angle at the Royal Rumble in 2003 was the first time I was able to appreciate a match as a technical clinic. 5) Stone Cold Steve Austin - To me he's the biggest star of all-time, he did more in three years as the top guy than most wrestlers do in their entire career, an icon who I'll never get bored of.

+Thomas Broome-Jones totally agree with your list bro. what made me reply was the fact that you included benoit in the list. many people avoid talking about him and how great technical skills he had as an in ring performer. great to see somebody acknowledging his prowess. however, I was hoping against hope to see edge's name in one of these lists, really think of him as a great face and a greater heel. And the fact that he risked paralysis to continue wrestling. cheers mate and yeah I am 20 too. :P

When I worked at McDonalds back in about 2000 Mick Foley came through the drive thru and ordered 2 x 20 piece nuggets and two happy meals. I said anything for the Mrs. He said this is for her and the kids I'm eating salad at the house. I gave him his food and said, "Have a nice day!!" In my Mr. Socko voice. He laughed as he drove away. Kind fellow indeed. Legend. He also signed his book for me at his wifes gym.

Great interview. My top 5 list (favorite/least favorite lists are never permanent for me): 1. Undertaker - He may not be the greatest wrestler (HBK, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle), promo cutter (Flair, Dusty Rhodes), but I think he's the "jack of all trades of wrestling" in that he excels in everything. His strength in the ring is the evolution and adaptation of his character. His legacy, I believe is his contributions to the industry, doing what is best for the business and having the business' agenda. He's survived so many eras in the biggest company as the top draw without politics. 2. Randy Savage - Colorful attire, loved his promos. Excellent ring talent. 3. Bret Hart - Best technical wrestler. He is the excellence of execution. I appreciated him high fiving the fans and giving his shades to a little fan before every match. That has been imitated by Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Big Show. His promos were pretty good too. 4. Seth Rollins - The things this guy could do are amazing. His promos became better since he turned heel. 5. John Cena - I see someone who's constantly trying to improve while being the greatest PR for WWE. Kevin Owens' main roster debut was a clean win over Cena. I don't know anyone else, maybe Kane, Sting, Taker, or Jericho, who would have been okay with that.

I was born in 1985 and will give my top five in several categories note that I am commenting only on wrestlers I have seen on TV: best wrestler, best performer, best tag team, last certainly not least best at being the best all around. In my opinion only. Best WWE Pro Wrestler: 1. Bret "Hitman" Hart 2. Kurt Angle 3. Daniel Bryan 4. Owen Hart 5. Brock Lesnar Best WWE Performer: 1. Shawn Michaels (hands down) 2. Stone Cold (for some it is my #3) 3. Dwayne "Rock" Johnson 4. Macho Man Randy Savage 5. The Phenom The Undertaker Best Tag Team WWE and WCW 1. NWO Wolfpack (1996 - 2000) 2. Edge Christian/Hardys/Dudleys (because TLC) 3. Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Nyhardt) 4. The Bushwackers (love the Bushwackers) 5. Hulk Hogan & Macho Man (mainly because Randy) Best All Around WWE Superstar: 1. Stone Cold 2. The Rock 3. Bret Hart 4. Shawn Michaels 5. The Undertaker

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but this just popped in my feed. Best Tag Teams is where I have issue. Just my opinion😉 1.) The Hart Foundation Bret/Jim the Anvil 2.) The Legion of Doom/ Road Warriors (No team holds more titles in all of wrestling or held them as long) 3.)The New Age Outlaws (When Tag teams went smaller these guys stayed big) 4.)The Rockers (Low because they didn’t last long in WWE. Michaels went solo) 5.) The Hardy Boys ( These guys made tag team wrestling a thing again!). Honorable Mention: Hall/Nash as NWO. They played it perfectly in the beginning. Hogan f’d it all up for everyone.

My top 5 1) Undertaker - Living Legend, gave a lot to the WWE and was an outstanding wrestler despite the years. 2) The Rock and Stone Cold - Tie. While they are not the ones who helped build WWE into a company ground up, they are the two who kept it up when it matter the most. Easily, we could be talking about WCW and not WWE right now had it not been for those two. Also the two most influential wrestlers in WWE and will forever be remembered. 3) Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair - Another tie. Give credit where credit is due. These guys built WWE to what it is and stuck around despite old age to entertain us more. 4) Shawn Micheal's - There's only one wrestler who's ever going to be like Shawn and it's Shawn. We will never see another like him. 5) Triple H - You ever wondered how the face of WWE should look like? It's Triple H. He is probably the best wrestler (wrestling wise / entertainment wise) in the ring. The work he produced is definitely top notch and should be the standing bearer of anyone who wants to perform inside the ring. Pure textbook (entertainment wrestling)

Personal list, also I'm very biased when it comes to mic skills, personality and charisma so don't be suprised by some of the picks: 1. HBK - Whether Heel or Face, one of the most if not the most charismatic guys to ever step foot in a WWE Ring. Stole the Show wherever he walked and played the fans like no one did + He has the x factor, the unpredictability. You never know what hes gonna do next. Also one of the best in-ring performers ever. He has a ton of nicknames and that rightfully so because he deserves each and every single one of them. 2. Chris Jericho - Charismatic, well spoken, constantly reinventing himself, incredibly entertaining no matter which side hes on and one of the funniest sons of bitches ever in Wrestling. 3. The Rock - Who can argue with the Rock being in the Conversation, theres way too many adjectives for him. He is simply phenomenal. 4. Randy Orton - Honestly one of the best Heels I've ever witnessed, the guy could be downright disgusting, disrespectful and was smug about it. He reeked havoc whether he was the Legend Killer which was his best gimmick or the Viper in the first few years. Might sound like a weird pick but if I had an all time draft, he'd be one of the first guys i'd take for my brand. If WWE wasn't PG, I think he'd be recognized as a top 3 heel in Wrestling History. 5. Steve Austin - Same as The Rock to be honest with alot more Asskicking and a different Approach and Flair. Honorable Mentions: AJ Styles - He'd be my 6th Pick, Not sure what it is about him that I like so much, could be his Style and Coolness, his dynamic and High Flying style, his hard working attitude or the fact that the guy is just really likeable and sympathetic Triple H - Intense, Smug, Funny or Aggressive depending on H/F and a very pulling guy in terms of his Speaking. + He could be the biggest dick on the planet when he was booked as Heel. Edge - Kinda the same as HHH, but even more hate-able as a Heel because of his attitude and Bodylanguage

Honorable Mentions: The Rock, Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Big Match John, Bret Hart, Eddie Guerrero 5. Chris Benoit - A great wrestler. Maybe not a star on the mic, but his matches were technical holy grails. His title win and celebrating with Eddie Guerrero was heart touching. 4. Shinsuke Nakamura - Love his in-ring style. He brings a new feel to WWE matches, and he was great in NJPW. Hope he can bring something new to the main roster like he has to NXT 3. Stone Cold Steve Austin - A guy who revitalized the WWE and saved the business during the Monday Night Wars. Feud with McMahon was iconic, as well as his trio of WrestleMania matches against The Rock. 2. Chris Jericho - Renewed my interest in WWE in the '90s, the '00s, and even now, with his current heel run being the best yet. I'll take a Y2J promo any day. 1. Shawn Michaels - Five Star matches, great promos both as a face and a heel, amazing in ring ability. Boyhood dreams do come true. A one of a kind superstar.

Somehow when I see people mentioning Ric Flair and others I don't think they take it in consideration some of the great workers of the past, some of them not that older than Flair, like Nick Bockwinkel, who had top-notch matches with Curt Hening and Ric Martel. Harley Race and Bob Backlund are two other who should get a lot more credit and hype than what they get...same goes for Ricky "the dragon" Steamboat and the Dynamite Kid.

Anthony Danes I didn't appreciate old school wrestling by the time Lou had passed. So I missed him by several years. I study wrestling history because of it's importance. I live by the mantra that you can't fully appreciate modern wrestling without it. I also appreciate older fans who were around to see the things I wasn't. So kudos to you as well.

1. HBK - The man defines what it is to be wrestler. Great in ring ability, great gimmick and the blue print for a lot modern pros. 2. Eddie Guerrero - There was nothing quite like seeing Eddie in the ring. He had it all, big character, great move set and so much charisma. 3. Chris Jericho - Great at everything. Can have a great match with anyone and can ride the line between heel and face like no other. 4. Ricky Steamboat - The reason I love wresting. This man was mesmerising and a revolutionary in the ring. 5. Kurt Angle - So much technical ability buy with great mic skills. This guy was and is still great.
