This video is MicroCap Tutorial #2 Vacuum Tube Amplifier #2. I demonstrate more MicroCap tools and we delve a little deeper into the circuit. Then I open and present a new Vacuum tube audio amplifier circuit with more vacuum tubes in it. #microcap #microcaptutorial #micro-cap
If you haven't heard - you can get Micro-Cap from Spectrum-Software for free, so help spread the good news that Micro-Cap SPICE Simulation software does not any longer cost $4500, it is now Free. It is one of the best SPICE simulation programs out there. This is a limited time offer, so get your free spice simulation software today.

I absolutely LOVE this!!!! I just got my solar powered up the other day so now I can fire up my workstation laptops and play with micro-cap . Thank you Eddie for making these videos . You're the man bro.

Man - I am so impressed with your hardware!! That system and what you are doing is amazing!! I think there’s a way to use Micro-Cap for simulation of system models... I’ll have to check it out!

Great Tutorial Eddie , there is feature that you can change values automatically , MonteCarlo I believed ,, The you can optimise things to the best performance I optimised LF filters about 25 years ago with this program ! And it works realy good Thanks for teaching Eddie

Thanks Bert! Hey your experience is getting ahead of the class;) It has actually been awhile since I have done the MonteCarlo and for that matter - sensitivity analysis. Well have to cover that for sure!! Thanks for the feedback!

Nice video Eddie. These are really super useful videos. I've not had much chance to play with it yet because I've been busy with something else, but I'm going to have a go at re-doing my LTSpice circuit for my power supply. It will be interesting to see how similar/different results are. Thanks for highlighting this tool and showing how to use it.

Andrew Johnson Thank you Andrew! I have another tutorial that I’ll be posting soon which will demonstrate a boost converter that I have recently reviewed on the bench. This tool is far better than LTSpice;)

Thanks for a great tutorial again, it's wary impressive what that program can do and you are great at telling about it. I hope you have a great time in NY:-)

Hey man, I don't want to seem to be critical but you comment a lot and I just want to let you know that when you say wary, as in "wary impressive" you actually mean very as in "very impressive". Wary means something completely different in English! Anyway I just thought you might want to know - I would if I was writing a comment in French (the only second language I know) All the best.

Thanks Eddie...really appreciate these vids! :) Btw, I haven't used my soldering iron in anger once since I downloaded and installed microcap. I haven't even scratched the surface in what it can do....so much to learn and so little time, lol. Cheers man! Until the next one :)

The best way to learn this type of software is by using it. Thank you for the great tutorial: I hope you will make more. Please make one where you build a circuit from scratch and run a transient analysis....even a simple RLC circuit. :)

I decided to try it, in Linux using wine I couldn't save any file with the windows 7 mode, selecting XP solved the problem. Probably could be solved some other way, but at least this works, you can change the per program settings in winecfg, you add the microcap executable and in windows version select XP, hope it helps someone.

@@KissAnalog I would like to see amplifier class D with two mosfets like IRFZ44. Actually class A or B also fine with single mosfet. That could be even better. I wish to compare what Micro-CAP shows and what I can solder myself.

I would like to see how well Micro-CAP helps to choose blocking capacitors and inductors.
@KissAnalog

I think the IRFZ44 would be very interesting - and how the Micro-Cap would correlate. Let us know if you do this. Or, if you want me to - maybe I can make a video.

Hi Eddie, I’m going back through your MC series. Awesome stuff! Question : at about 9:00 you have power labels on the component labels; how do you do that? You were on probe AC. Thank you. Cheers Mark

Hi Eddie, Thank you for tutorial. I wanted to ask how I change my cursor to have the little magnifying lense that you show in this tutetorial?
@KissAnalog
@KissAnalog 4 года назад
The video editor adds the magnifying glass, so it isn't an option in MicroCap. Thanks for your question.
