Microsoft Admits Xbox One Sold LESS THAN HALF as Many Units as PS4

The people who were complaining back then are the old guard now, and have been drowned out by younger gamers conditioned to treat such bullshit as the norm. Its as simple as that.

No other company has attempted to replicate what MS tried to do, thats why no one is really calling it out. Xbox Series X/PS5 doesn’t require me to sign on everyday otherwise it will refuse to work and you can play used games.

On PC to some extent. The online subscription alone is a plague on every major console. But the popularity of complaints in the majority discourse is not indicative of user sentiment. People probably still feel the same way about those aspects of the platform. If companies never take feedback and the hate fades over time there's nothing we can do. Making these smaller changes that people don't notice until it's too late is the slimy shit I don't want.

Xbox one sales dropped since 3 or 4 years ago, so you must take the 50m of xbox one and compare them to when ps4 was 105m aproximately.

Bruh I had a pc in 2012 when tons of people decided to be shitty to me. Dude said "pc has 10 inch screen why would I want to do that". Pc users were damn rare in high school in that time. I had to hear about how cool couches were and how that invalidates pc somehow. PC no controller. All this stupid shit. As PC has become unbelievably popular in the years following and the platform getting Sony and Microsoft big exclusives like Spider-Man and halo I have felt pretty damn validated in my choice. But being shitty to people has no excuse and those should be distinct concepts in your mind instead of being mad at Microsoft for their middling success with that console. You gotta remember it's just us vs them tribalism at the end of the day. The relative success of consoles doesn't somehow make bullying valid. Also, wii u is a joke while Xbox one was somewhat mediocre but ultimately successful enough. It had most of the same games as ps4. The problem was exclusive titles for sure. But, again, if people want to be friends and not pieces of shit that's up to them.

@@glungusgongus Still an underrated console with some of the best exclusives ever made. (See: Elma in a bunny suit, being able to pilot a mech in a fully open world, and Goetia. Evidently the devs were very excited to reveal Goetia but did literally nothing with her character. So she was literally there to show off her admittedly awesome alien design and glorious alien butt. She is literally just a sentient humanoid squid butt. Stupid writers. Still one of the greatest open-world games ever made, crafted through sheer technical genius. 👍)

Don't worry the ps4 didn't have anything worthwhile either.

PS4 pretty much got every major 3rd party title for its generation, and still gets supported even in 2022. 2nd best option of its time other than PC.

@@SuiteLifeofDioBrando yeah I’d agree for the most part. I didn’t own a ps4 up until the very bitter end I’m talking I got a used one in mid 2020. From what I remember and have experienced the PS4 was the best well rounded console between the competition. I ended up eventually selling it once I got a PS5 a year later but it was a solid system. I had everything from the 8th generation so the Wii U, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch ( I count that as a 8th generation console which I know is a hot take but I don’t get why) so yeah. The PS4 was the most well rounded Console.

I still scratch my head to this day, wondering why Nintendo never bought them out completely.

As far as I know, in the Gamecube era Rare was becoming a shadow of what they have been in its best N64 times, with a lot of key people leaving. Nintendo knew why they didn’t buy completely when they had the chance but instead sold their shares to Microsoft. What was the best Rare game since then?

@@DSmith3279 every game you buy digital on series x needs an internet connection otherwise you will not be able to play them Some time ago there was some server issues that prevented people from playing the gamed the bought

what about Sony's GT7? its always online. remember when the servers went down? you couldn't play it for 30 hours.

It was the main console that I had the most fun on and still my favorite console from the 8th Gen. The PS4 did eventually get some games that I was very interested in trying out while the Xbox One... not so much. For me, all they had was Killer Instinct (2013), Rare Replay, and the Forza Horizon games.

Ps4 and Xbox one were not that different they were basicslly ps3.5 and 360. 5 they were 30 fps on last gen games like GTA5 I went PC that gen too untill pro and one x came out
