What is so refreshing about this conversation is that Mike is not trying to play up to what people wanna hear. He is going to share his thoughts and be honest about it too. That’s what the internet needs especially within these relationship podcasts. Too many people are creating unnecessary feuds between genders, when in reality, as so eloquently mentioned by Patricia we are a team. We need to build together. The reason I think these two have been blessed with 15 years and counting is because they have built a strong foundation of respect, trust and empathy for each other. You can tell they share the same values and that is what people miss in the dating stage. So although this was a conversation about money on the surface, deeper than that this is a conversation about aligned values and compatibility. Wonderful conversation Patricia and Mike. Mike is extremely mature and emotionally wise, even how he navigates some of the potentially negative experiences they both discussed shows how aware he is.
I can’t explain how wholesome and heartwarming this was. As an OG Mike & Patricia fan, it was wonderful to see that the love, respect and candidness has persevered, if not flourished, all these years later. I remember why I always loved watching you guys, because it was simply genuine, no pretence, no packaging. Now, still a Patricia fan, this episode was extremely refreshing and insightful and if I could SUPER like it, I would. It’s really valuable to see a husband and wife being so open about such personal topics and sharing your genuine thoughts and opinions. Mike’s takes were spot on and I think this video needs to be shared….a lot. I would LOVE a part two but maybe the rarity of Mike’s appearances is part of how you make it work. Loads of men also believe that women should be career driven and a traditional housewife at the same time. She works, pays 50/50 for everything. Takes care of the children, house and cooking alone.
This was SO GOOD!!!!!! Please please know your openness and transparency is so helpful to so many of us seriously!!!! We've lived too many years of people trying to play out "relationship goals" like relationships are perfect. But the reality is they aren't. We're all individuals and to be expected to just get on 24/7 like two cloned robots is ridiculous! The more people open up about the realities but also with great advice like this, the more we can hopefully feel more comfortable and accepting of our relationships not always being "perfect" all the time ❤
I honestly think relationships work "better", when one partner is not into social media like that, especially if their partner has a social media presence. Being evenly yoked and combatable more important than posting each other very 2-3 business days

This is what I've heard from many couple therapists - if you two have access to everything, there is a much higher chance that your relationship will last, but it also will be happier. It is not about a control, it is about being open and not hiding anything. Being transparent on both sides takes the relationships to a much higher level. If you are engaged, married or meant to be together forever - why would you hide some part of your life from your partner? That is a question to ask yourself. Is it because you are a cheater, liar, etc. or have you chosen a bad partner that would judge and abuse you for being transparent? Then, why are you in the relationship?

I totally understand Mike moving behind the scenes but, respectfully, I really have missed seeing him on camera! I think it's so interesting that you two say you haven't had time to sit and talk to one another. I'm not married nor do I have kids so I never really have processed how much relationship dynamics change when you become a family of 3+.
I agree with complete transparency. My husband and I have been together for 17 years, we have each other’s passwords but it’s not a thing. We are not checking but totally can.

I can never understand people in marriage where they don’t know anything about their partners phone, emails etc. as soon as we get new phones we load each other’s fingerprints and able to access whatever. We don’t invade each other’s privacy but for emergencies or God forbid something happened one of us should be able to get to the important information we need 🤷🏾♀️

Great video!! Love seeing the dynamic duo together again😍 I definitely agree with Mike in terms of sharing your passwords. My boyfriend has my password to my phone, and he doesn’t even have a lock on his phone, and we don’t have the urge to look through each others phones haha you would think you’d instantly want to go through it but it’s just something peaceful knowing that if you looked, nothing would be there because they love you that much and in turn that gives you a sense of security and makes you trust them more.
Im getting married soon and i love the frame work of this conversation. Makes so much sense and absolutely needed. Younger couples nowadays dont really think this way.
