People have no idea how exhausting these shadow boxing actually is. You get tires out pretty fast doing it for even just 3 minute at a fraction of his intensity so you can imagine his cardiovascular endurance is insane
My cardio isn’t the greatest but I am in pretty good shape but there’s two things I can do that can tire me out in less than a full minute, burpees and shadow boxing I’ve done shadow boxing a few times but with actual gloves on to make it seem like I was actually boxing 12 rounds in just 10 minutes I would be pouring sweat like I was In a scorching dry desert with no water, heart rate at least 175 my shoulders would be aching from lifting those gloves up so many times, mike was one in a million!.
He was a true beast in his prime! To the point where Mike says he doesn’t like seeing videos of his fighting or seeing how rage fueled he was like this you know you were a legit killin fighter when you don’t even like talking about your old self as globally loved as Mike was and still is and how well known he is for his rage fueled fighting dominance from the 80s
Yes definitely he will beat all of them in his prime Mike tyson prime is fast strong durable and his peekaboo style will destroy anyone but Muhammad Ali in his prime will beat Mike tyson prime
"You don't just have to throw punches, you have to learn to miss punches. You know what I mean? Those are the old tricks you have to learn." Absolute legend, Cus D'amatto was!
Facts Cus D'Amato, was very wise and created great fighters amongst men, its a shame I couldn't train or learn from him. I love the peekaboo style, it was truly unique.
@@MaadAzzGangshadowboxing is important and the way mike does it in a very fast and explosive way to recreate the feeling of a actual fight it works retraction muscles (back muscles) to pull your hand back as soon as possible even if the punch doesnt connect
Yep. Born as a warrior. He won the fight before the fight. Crazy mindset. Tyson is my personal Nr. 1. Nr. 2 is Lennox Lewis. Lewis was the same beast in his prime. Fast, powerfull, smart, tall, killer instinkt. How boring isvtodays heavyweight boxing! Something is wrong with the whole organisation and the system. They should look at the UFC. Dana, could you please take boxing in your hands!!
@Tavara Yes, I absolutely agree with you. To me, Mike was the whole picture of what an exciting, dynamic fighter should be, and with respect, that's absolutely what he set his sights and goals in what he wanted and intended to achieve. There was no just turning up, going the distance and winning on points with Mike. In his earlier years, he did it all in style. Obviously, after that, that's when the rot set in. He didn't have Cus, Kevin Rooney, and Teddy Atlas, who were crucial to his mindset and focus and success. There was the rape trial and marriage to the wrong people. Mike also struggled with how he thought people saw him and how he thought their opinion was of him. That showed he cared very much. Of course, now, we see the true Mike. He's a great, generous, caring guy, and it's great to see him happy now, content, and enjoying life with his family, with no demons. His early life, constantly training, reading, watching about past champions which moulded him into the person he was, the person he had to be, to be so successful and dynamic. Don't forget, many of Mike's fights were won with his ring walk, before a punch was thrown. A great example of that was in June 1988. You could virtually see Michael Spinks knees trembling, he wouldn't look at Mike. Hence, the fight didn't last the first round. You never see that now. That was down to Mike, his dedication, his discipline, and respect to his sport and the fact he strived to be the best. I honestly don't think you'll ever see any heavyweight boxer shadow box like Mike Tyson. That had never been seen before. The textbooks said it was impossible. That dynamisium, speed, accuracy, feriousness, and agility was thought to be beyond a muscular, well-built heavyweight. Then, Mike came and did it!
I practiced his head movement, then walking and doing it. Down the track someone coming around the corner and see me are literally shocked. It is quite a sight. Try it.
Ppl may disagree but I think Mike’s most impressive feature is his lighting fast head movement. When his opponents throw a power punch and miss, they leave themselves wide open
Absolutely! He has incredible speed and accuracy. He almost never threw a punch and stood still. Each punch he moves his head and works around his opponents with footwork to get certain angles to catch his opponents off guard. Truly remarkable...
THIS is real shadowboxing..I hate watching how boxers of today throw half ass shots thinking they are actually benefiting ANYTHING at all, especially not even throwing a full length jab while doing so..but Tyson is throwing EVERYTHING he has..if you got in front of these punches..you are not getting up..point blank period.
@Deep Nature Relaxation Yes, my friend. I agree. We lost out on that, not seeing Mike's full potential. Though we've got to be grateful for what we gained. We've never seen a heavyweight shadow box, move, have such agility, dynamism, speed, ferocity, and power like Mike Tyson. For me, our world is a better place for seeing Mike. As we look back over our lives, we've all had people who've tripped us up and been awkward/jealous for whatever reason. With Mike, it was Don King. It's great to see Mike now, though. He looks content and happy, enjoying life. There's no one around now as exciting as Mike. Can't see there will be.
@@Richhporterr1 its crazy to think about how much more potential mike would've had if cus never died cant imagine the type of fighter he would've became but even still he made a legacy for himself without cus to guide him
This gives me such inspiration when I'm at the gym. If you want to toughen up, practice following his moves. Learn from the best...watch his movements.
The Mike Tyson at about 7:30 is a physical specimen. I mean just imagine it's you standing in front of that camera and that guy shadow boxing coming at you and nothing stopping him.
Ni holilfield ni lewis se compararan a esta bestia, lastima que estos dos pelearon contra el cuando tyson ya no estaba en su mejor momento. Era un animal...
Absolutely excellent montage... first class. There’s too many videos of tyson knocking people out. This though is great, great editing and music. Especially the part from 9 mins - 10 mins spine chilling .. well done
Al ver a Mike lanzando esos golpe de esa forma es como decirle a la vida si me golpeas te golpeo más fuerte … sin duda unos de los mejores de la historia… God bless Mike
