Four Things to Worry About When Fighting "Iron Mike" Tyson: 1. His right upper-cut: It can kill you, even though Mike is left-handed. 2. His left hook: knocks most people down or out. 3. His right cross: can put you down. 4. His liver punch: can disable and seriously injure you. Now if you can avoid those four punches, you should do well against him. :-)

With his antics later in life people often forget just how good this guy was.. Not good, not great, legendary...he was FEARED in a sport where the participants got to the top by not fearing anyone...vicious and powerful but surprisingly light on his feet with amazing movement and angles...he was pretty amazing Crazy thing is I think if cus hadn't passed away and don king hadn't come into the picture, the young naive kid who suddenly had the world in the palm of his hands might have been guided better...but I guess he's really really really cleaned his act up and is a really nice and classy guy

That lead hand short hook to the body is brilliant if you have the head and body speed to pull it off. That contact involuntarily makes an opponent's lead hand elbow tuck in from the pain and impact. You then have half a second to exploit the gap that creates using either an uppercut or another short hook to the head. Most people are not expecting their lead ribs to get crushed...your elbow will tuck; you pretty much can't stop it. Brilliant move...if not already down they are focused on their lead side, and he circles with a wide hook to the other side.
@wraith1117
@wraith1117 3 года назад
Mike was also able to do a 1,2, and sometimes a 1,2,3 combo with the same hand. Think, body, body uppercut with the left. Not too many made it passed that. Lord have mercy if it was followed with the right,....

There will never be another heavyweight as agile and powerful as Tyson. He was ahead of his time. Just throwing hooks and uppercuts relentlessly. For every punch thrown another punch followed. He was always ready to throw an onslaught of blows.. The guy didn't let up until his opponent dropped to the canvas.. Too bad D'Amato couldn't stick around a little longer. Firing Rooney didn't help.. Despite Tyson's hardships, he is still one of the best, if not the best when he was fighting in his prime.. I still think Douglas should've been counted out in their match up in Japan, but every dog has its day.. Still a legend, hands down..

Great video. What it really shows is a right to the body and a quick follow by a right upper cut. Plus a lot of other monster punches.

That is one clever boxer, hits you with a devastating body shot that forces you to guard your ribs whilst exposing your face with a follow up, upper cut. Beautiful.
@AidanDotDash
@AidanDotDash 5 месяцев назад
The body shot is so powerful it caused his opponent to naturally drop his guard and the second mike sees it that KO punch swings in.
@tomaszduda6756

Mike Tyson was like a heavy machine gun, a large number of quick blows, the same hand after about 1 second he corrected with another blow, sometimes he knocked out, before the opponent managed to improve his guard - amazing boxer

I can barely even watch today’s boxers like Floyd Mayweather. They just try to dance around and play tag with each other. Whenever Mike Tyson stepped into the ring, he was out for blood. You could tell just by how he always kept coming at his opponents. Never let em breathe, never backed down and always started every round like it was the first. Best boxer ever in my opinion and my favorite boxer by far.
@dennoow

Well deontay Wilder is not dancing around tagging anyone, nor is AJ. Tyson was a beast though!
