2bad 4you yeah Italians had dominated for a while . But I think English teams really started to become the best for a while but they always seemed to lose the finals . England had at least one team in the final every year. 05 Milan v Liverpool 06 Barca v Arsenal 07 Milan v Liverpool 08 Chelsea v Man Utd 09 Barca v Man Utd... 2010 was an exception 2011 Barca v Man Utd 2012 Bayern v Chelsea . After that Spanish teams did really take over but I think we’ve now come to the end of that era now . We’ll see what happens this season .
@@siddharthpanchal9474 I know that. The reason they din't win as much as todyas' giants was because the other teams in europe were extremely competitive at that time. Even Arsenal had Henry. Clubs like PSV and Ajax were dangerous as well with Porto and Monaco surprising on one period. It was the golden era of football. Now, everything is about supermoney... One club with overflow cash, that's it. Other teams just feeding them..
@arab man fanboi, this milan team has been the most Intimidated team for a few years whereas most of the other clubs of the era were also in their greatest times
Sandi Gunawan Kusika personally a Man Utd fan but it sad to see Milan struggle at the moment . Man Utd are going through a similar phase . Would like to see both teams get back to the top of Europe
We had a better side in 2005 but won it in 2007. Football is strange sometimes. I miss a lot of these Milan players. But none more than Nesta- my all time favourite footballer.
I can't believe I had to scroll this far to find someone who sees this too. What's crazy is that Liverpool, had their players at its peak in 2007. Don't get me wrong 2005 they were amazing youngsters too. But most definitely Milan 2005 was a monster. I'm just glad they both took one home.
@Bob Marleys Final Dreadlock No you are wrong. Milan originally got automatic qualification to the champions league that season having originally finished 2nd in the serie a in 2005-06. But as a punishment for their involvement in the serie a scandal in 2005-06, Milan were deducted 30 points and dropped to 3rd spot finish in the 2005-06 serie a season and lost their automatic qualification spot and had to qualify for The Champions League via the 3rd round qualifiers and the play offs. Back then, it was the top 2 teams who got automatic qualification to The Champions League while 3rd and 4th had to qualify for The Champions League via the 3rd round qualifiers and The Play Offs. But now today, all top 4 teams im serie a get automatic qualification to The Champions League.
@Bob Marleys Final Dreadlock Your logic makes no sense you moron. And Milan were not bribing referees. That was all Juve. If Milan were bribing referees then Milan would have either finished level on points with Juve or would have won the league. Milan were picking referees who were secretly Milan fans. Not once did Milan bribe any referees. If that was the case, Milan would have been relegated like Juve. I just exposed your stupid logic and now you go make up a lie. I know you are a Milan hater and you are clearly showing it. Out of all the 4 teams involved in the scandal, Only Juventus were match fixing and bribing referees. The other 3 teams were picking referees who would favour them in games. Do your research.
Really?.....hmmmm?... should ac milan have gotten back into this season's UCL 2006/07, after what had been discovered what they're had been up to with Juventus and a couple of others in the seasons before this one?
I don’t know why the football back then was so attractive , now even tho we have TVs bigger than us, 4K transmission, the graphics was superior than today’s ! Was another vibe, a better one
Starfall that’s because nowadays “good” players are only Messi and Ronaldo to watch and back in the day you couldn’t really choose. Everyone was a miss if you weren’t watching
Because nowadays there is no passion anymore, listen to the Old players, how they speak about revenge and about the Champions League being magical, Now Players care only about stats, and they Don't have the passion anymore, they hug in each match they kiss, they Don't speak their mind anymore, Too much Political correctness, they are trying to Kill the rivaleries which makes the passion Feel less present in today's football.
@@jubelahmed1997 exactly. Except for a handful, football is just a job. Not saying they don't work hard but the passion and drive that used to run in players is long extinct now. If it weren't for Cristiano and Messi, I don't think football would even have half its fans this decade.
@@badreddinebelabed9156 This is exactly what I was thinking. Also now it always seems to be the same 2 or 3 clubs in the final back then literally anyone had a fare shot and every CL season was a toss up; every game could have went either way and was can't miss action. 2007 Milan was a stacked team but the way some clubs have created these Super teams now it almost sucks the competition completely away. It's what it is now. I'm hoping more of these great young players spend more time with the clubs that brought them up instead of taking their first shot at moving to a huge club but that is a lot to ask so I digress.
the first goal came from him too, that free kick came from xabi tackle on kaka. even if he doesn't score he gave impact still, the last true playmaker indeed
Istanbul was not a defeat. Was a draw. Penalties decided the winner and penalties are like lotteries. It could as well been Milan winning the penalties and 'the comeback' would have been forgotten pretty quickly.
@@Onmysheet It was the officials fault. Shivechenko scored a perfectly legit goal but the stupid linesman dissalowed it for offside when he was clearly onside. And Steven Gerrard diving for a penalty. Should have ended 4-2 to Milan. But oh well we got our revenge two years later so I will take that.
Gerrard didn't dive, don't be in denial. Gerrard was in the perfect range in blasting in the ball. It was his perfect scoring opportunity, why would he dive.
Tears in my eyes. A.C Milan is the history of football, there is no Champions without Milan. One day you will come back, and everyone will look at you and respect you magnificent giant. Milan you are my life ❤️🔴⚫
From an Englishman it made me very sad to see the decline of ac Milan during the late 90s and early 2000s they were my favourite European team to watch and support. I hope they make a massive comeback soon. Things are looking better for you boys atm right?
I am a Real Madrid fan but Milan has always been my 2nd favourite team because this was the first champions league final I watched and I always support them if they are not playing Real Madrid :)
Maldini's last words " did i win or lose ? " You are our Hero , you are beyond legendary , more than History. You are love , grande Paolo Forza Milan ✝ ❤ Milan Forever ✝❤
I was there... 12 years before. I was 11 years old and I remember almost everything. We where standing right beside Curva Sud where Inzaghi celebrated the first goal. I thank God for blessing me to be in this game. This way the day I started supporting Milan. Now I'm 23... Milan will be back where it belongs. Forza Milan per sempre.
Well for those saying Milan will not be back was saying the same thing about Liverpool only a couple of seasons ago. These clubs are giants of Europe and you can never get rid of them. PSG and ManCIty have spent Billions but never wins this. Milan just have to get a good coach and good investment and they will be back winning this in no time.
I'm a fanatic fan of Olympiacos but Milan is my favorite team, second favorite team after Olympiacos...These old days miss me so much and I hope Milan get to Champions league soon !!!
2005 - Benitez’s change in formation was a major reason for Liverpool’s victory 2007 - Benitez’s change in formation was a major reason for Liverpool’s loss
@@pavned2699 Milan might be a strong team but they are definetily the outsider in the Group. When you play against Atletico, Liverpool, Porto the Chance will be very hard. Porto made to the quarterfinal Last season.
Come on brothers!. We slept too long. Time to go back where we should be. My Respect to Ac Milan one of the greatest club in the world. Forza Lega Calcio and Good Luck.
Back when MILAN my favorite & was the beast in every league 🔥🔥 Whatever they tried they just couldn't get pass DIDA, Nesta, Kaladze, Cafu, Maldini 🔥🔥 . I still hate Madrid for destroying Kaka's career :/
Bruh... It wasn't AC Milan in his prime... the decade 1990/2000 was legendary, but how can you say that even that was his "prime time"? The club was born in 1899 dude.
Superpippo luar biasa, Maldini selalu istimewa, piala dunia 1994 runner up, piala eropa 2000 juga runner up, tp tidak melunturkan kharisma seorang legenda besar
Forza Milan!!! We are the real Milan!!! This was the best moment in UCL final when I watched in Thailand among all Liverpool fans and tears were flying out of my eyes when Super Pippo Inzaghi - The legend scored the second goal...was the only supporter of Milan with another guy from Bhutan (clearly we were the minority) but it was magical.. the intensity by Milan team, Defensive solidity by Dida, Nesta, Maldini, Khaladze, Gattuso, creativity by Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf and Awesome positioning and finishing by Inzaghi. We miss those days.. hopefully that era will come back soon.
Oggi farebbe figure di merda... Quando si riprenderà (tra molti anni) può ritornare... Però è anche vero che per il Milan non è scontato il fatto che tornerà come prima così facilmente... Anche se me lo auguro.
Legendary team. I remember those matches in 2005 and 2007 very well. Shevchenko has already left and while his career in Chelsea was completely ruined, his former teammates were revenged for 2005.
@@RickyBlack_ bruh Milan won the UCL with that same lineup in 2003 and kaka was not in the team that year. Also milan appeared in UCL final 8 times between 1990 to 2007 and kaka was not there 6 times
Milán por siempre el club más copero de Italia. Un gigante en europa en cualquier momento despertara de su letargo para seguir cosechando más champions. Forza AC.MILAN.
