@MonoChronicle Griffa actually explains to Max that he is already on the Plains of Silence at one point, I'm assuming that it's metaphor for how Max is searching for something that doesn't actually exist

@@AkuraTheAwesome It doesn't. It's been implied multiple times that the "Plains of Silence" are literally something Max himself imagined and keeps believing in. If you notice, nobody else talks about those "Plains of Silence" except Max and Griffa (who is alluded to be the remaining sane/rational part of Max, even Griffa himself lightheartedly mocks Max for believing it actually exists). The Plains in question are basically heaven. Max is looking for a way to die peacefully, without regrets. Yet he cannot, because he can't forgive himself. For his family, for the innocents he's murdered just to survive. It's the story of a guy who wants to die, yet is a better survivor than anyone else just because he was a former police officer and had a knack for driving, making him basically an apex predator in the Wasteland. Akin to a Trex.

Mike234 the first one is canon you see in the first one australia got fucked over my the petrol prices skyrocketing after the gulf war so max was a police officer trying to govern the unstable outback controlled by gangs between 1 and 2 everything got much worse and everyone spread out and there was no government to think of, only little settlements and between 2 and 3 a nuclear winter beyond thunderdome is set 15 years after mad max 2, which you see how most of the kids are under or a little over 15 years old nobody knows when fury road is set
