Hi Charmine. This is a very good episode to listen to. Thank you for showing what mindful eating is all about. It takes practice courage and understanding of mindfulness to be able to achieve this. I'm a diabetic with my a1c at 7.4. I'm watching you and learning to every episode that you give us. Keep up the good work. WOW. This is a very good video thats filled with positivity. Looking at my eating lifestyle I was that guy who ate whenever I saw food and whenever I was emotionally stressed I saw food as my comfort. Naturally I gained weight and developed Type 2 diabetes and I have been wanting to reverse it for ages. My doctors took the symptom focused approach and told me that I will have to be on medication, etc for the rest of my life. I was resigned to my fate cursing myself for overeating, etc. However in doing my research I found many articles on the internet that further added to my confusion concerning my diabetes, and of course I tried many of their approaches and although I would lose some weight my glood glucose levels would go down but the instant I ate fruit or pastry my blood glucose would always spike which I understand is normal whenever you eat anything especially a simple carbohydrate. I have been following your approach and it is slowly sinking into my head that my diabetes is in fact reversable and taking a mostly plant based diet is the right approach for this reversal to happen. But I live in the real world and its not always possible to be totally plant based especially in my country where plain white rice is the staple food and fruits and vegetables are often very expensve, almost a luxury sometimes. I have become a very disciplined eater more recently and don't worry too much about the foods taste, texture, etc so mindful eating is the new normal for me now. I look forward to your videos both here and on Tik Tok where I was first introduced to you Charmaine. I look forward to more videos and information and the ultimate reversal of my insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes. God Bless you and your team.
