I'm a little late to the party, but I just received my new X-Terra Pro and had this exact same question of wanting to know if I could use my ML-80 headphones from my Nox 600. I used the link you provided for the TROND transmitter and I was able to pair them to my X-Terra Pro successfully without any lag. Can't thank you enough for this info. It saved me a good chunk of money.
Thank you for posting this video my friend. I got the transmitter you put in the link yesterday and hooked it up. It bound to my previous earbuds I used with my equinox with no issues. I look forward to not having my ears float in sweat from the ML-105s that come with the Manticore. Thank you!
Mr. iffy, thank you. Sony has a line of programable headphones via an Android or Apple app that utilizes an Equilizer. I guess for special effects we have to route to a smartphone with a synthesizer/s. Interesting. Remember Explorer XS? Onboard synth magic. I wish Minelab would put those audio features on the XT Pro. Way cool.
Just tried to get my expensive WM 08 module battery changed at Minelab... "no we don't do that" you have to spend another $350 on a new WM 08 ?!! your solution is much better! Thank you
Thanks for the tips. I scored a Ymii transmitter and a set of August headphones on Amazon for $44 (Australian). Both aptx LL and they are exceptional. Zero delay. Very happy. Now to work out a way to splash proof the headphone socket and the transmitter from sand ingress (why isn't there a rubber cover for the charging port?) I used a strip of heavy duty Velcro to attach the transmitter to the side of the arm cuff.
one of cheap variant is Bingle b616, it's radio headphones with transmitter, they faster than low latency and no any problem with this! work with 4 aaa batteries, i use rechargeable 1100mAh each, work time more than 16 hours

Just tried that. No, the sound is still there. I have some wired headphones that work as they should but out of 3 different 3.5mm jack leads, none cut the speaker sound. I'm baffled! @@IffySignals
Makes me a bit miffed that minelab release a new detector that has no option to buy the headphones that work with the technology it has. Having to resort to Bluetooth dongle which means you can't lay it down in the surf. Advantage nokta.

Ok, so I have the Legend headphones, the 1Mii Bluetooth transmitter you advised on and finally got the set-up paired with the XTP, BUT there is a lot of static/warbling going on. Any ideas how to rectify that?

Please elaborate here i thought this detector has Bluetooth le no dongle needed why are you using a dongle/adapter for Bluetooth? Is there no headphones that adapt with this unit?

Thanks for the info., Iffy! 👍🏻 The ML-105s that come with Manticore don’t block out external wind noise, etc. very well. Do the ML-85s that come with the new 900 work with the Manticore?
Cheers Iffy. I thought the ML-85s were for the new Equinox machines (700 and 900), so was hoping they’d also work with the Manticore. The ML-105s that come with the Manticore don’t have very good passive noise cancellation, so wind etc. can make it tricky to hear those faint, deep signals.
Minelab greed is hellacious. They intentionally locked out everything wireless except their branded garbage that is overpriced. Wish I had known before buying the XTerror Poop Pro that other AptxLL headphones would be locked out. Minelab, you suck.
Most are getting away from Aptx LL now, ML,XP, Garrett, Rutus. All have faster proprietary headphones. Definitely not as convenient as BT but faster audio.
