so Random question, Why a mini Earthship? it looks like the majority of your tire work is in the east and west walls, with maybe 10% in the north wall... why not make the north wall longer and therefore making the entire building wider? I know it's to late now on this one, but it seems like it would be worth doubling the the width for maybe 10%-15% more tire work... just a random observation. Granted that would make the roof and glass on the front take more work and be more expensive.
I know, replying to myself... I'm typing this as I'm taking a break from pounding dirt into tires on the 7th course of tires along the north wall of my garage build. 7 more tires to finish in this row, then 2 more rows to finish the north wall and 1 row on the west wall to finish up. about 50 tires left until I'm ready for buttresses and bond beam.
Those are good observations. This project has changed a lot since I started. Budget and time have been a big part of that. Originally, it was only going to be the u shape. That's why it was called "mini". I added the wing walls and front half after. That's why it is so deep.
