None of these can compete the quality of the sound with sony 13. Jbl is just louder.

It's not about the loudness here!! Try any cheap speaker around you on a really low volume and you will hear that it's performing well 😊. So try to compare the Sony and JBL on the same volume level for fair comparison then pick your favorite. There are no wrong options here both are amazing speakers

I think you are a heavy bass listener. So I don't think any small speaker will give you the rich sound that you want ☺️. Try at least 30 watts speakers.

That's actually right ☺️ I was surprised by Wonderboom 2 output. It's so capable but the price Is kinda high considering that you can buy a 30 watt speaker( like JBL charge and LG pl7) for only 20$ more . But you will lose a bit on the portability so I understand why people love Wonderboom 2 great sound quality in a small package 🤠

Yes the Wonderboom is super loud compared to the others. But I feel like the clip 4 has a more balanced sound.

Yeah of course you can adjust the EQ to make all of these sounds better but most of the people will use these speakers out of the box without any adjustments and this is the only way to make it as fair as possible. Thank you for your feedback tho means a lot ☺️

Well I understand Sony usually has a solid battery life but on these versions of both (Clip 4 & Xb13) the JBL is better without any doubts

@@TechLiner I'm not sure how your battery test had been performed, and there's a chance that something was\is wrong with a given piece of tech, but I find it REALLY hard to believe that 1050mah battery can perform almost twice as long as a 1400mah battery (8hr vs 5hr, according to you), considering that both have comparable 5w drivers (clip is lowder because of how it's passive part designed). Battery test numbers I'm seeing in other sources for xb13 range from 8 to 12 hours.

@@nrieh4553the type of music played also is a factor. More bass eats batteries more. If Sony produces more bass than jbl that can explain it. Bass is the biggest battery killer for speakers.

You have a good point here! I tested these speakers on the same exact playlist so it's definitely a fair comparison. I'm thinking now that maybe the Sony speaker that I had was defective or have a manufacturing problem 😕 Because I bought all of these new to make sure the battery life span is not consumed. Yeah, Sony has more bass but you can try these speakers at your local store. I think you will like the JBL more. However, if I have to pick between Sony and Anker I will go with Sony 😌

Sony overall has better bass than JBL but it's not as loud! If you don't care much about loudness then Sony is a better option for you 😀

C'mon it has literally no deep bass under 90hz. I donno how people can listen to s**ts, maybe yall didnt ever listen to something decent.

A tribit stormbox micro, which is similar in size to clip4, goes down to 60hz. It sounds as if a separate subwoofer is added to the clip 4 and is way louder too in volume.

90 Hz? Are you sure! Because that means the JBL has no bass at all. But then again that's how I feel like, it's honestly pathetic.

JBL clip 4 has a better sound quality and UE Wonderboom 2 is simply louder. So if it's a really busy environment go with UE but if it's not much JBL clip 4 is the way to go 😃

I know most of these speakers can perform better in different EQ settings but I kept everything on the default settings to make the comparison as fair as possible. I actually use the LG pl7 as my main portable speaker.

I really like what the Soundcore can offer for the price, it's only 50$ after all. The Wondeboom 2 is really good however it's so expensive!! You can buy JBL flip 5 for the same price and you will get much better results. And I definitely agree with you about Bose it's just a beautiful design and color.

Sony performance is so good specially when it comes to balance. No doubt about that I use Sony headphones 🎧 for years now. But I found JBL overall to be more enjoyable. it's a personal preference after all

I recommend you spend the extra 10$ and get the JBL it's worth the upgrade Although the Mini 3 is also really good if you don't feel like to upgrade ☺️

The soundboost was off on the LG! I know it's gonna perform better with soundboost but each of these speakers has some features to boost the sound so I had to turn all of it off to make the comparison as fair as possible

Oh yeah!! The build quality of ultimate ears speakers is one of the best no question ask. I actually dropped it twice and I didn't even get one scratch! It's built like a tank. 😌

Also, UE needs to come out with the wonderboom 3 already. W2 came out 3 years ago

If the soundcore is built like the anker soundcore mini 2 than I would go with the soundcore with build quality. I dropped my souncore mini 2 from the top catwalk on a ship at work. It was 30 ft up and hit the very corner of ther hatch top lid. It made a small dent but it still work great. I've dropped so many times. Anyways great video.

Yes you can do that The speaker has to be on but you can turn the Bluetooth off when you use cable connection 🙂

all the speakers put the Bluetooth on pending when it's not used so you're not losing a lot of battery when you use aux cable even if the Bluetooth is on. You can try that on your phone as well, try to turn the Bluetooth on without connecting to any devices and you will notice that you're not losing battery at all! There is something to keep in mind here. When you buy a speaker this size you don't expect a pro-grade audio level. You're just looking for something versatile and enjoyable to use. And JBL offered all of that the sound is loud and clear enough with a clip, good battery life and average price but I'm actually surprised about you saying that JBL doesn't have a good bass because I'm pretty sure it has pretty good bass. Anyway sound is a personal preference that's why I did the test for you so you can pick the one you like the most 😊

Bro there are a lot of technical reviews on RU-vid that show measurements. This is not my comparison style! To my ears I like the JBL the most. JBL has the longest battery life on max volume, however if you use Wonderboom with outdoor mode off it will be equal to the JBL ☺️.

I didn't tweak any settings on these speakers and I'm sure you can have much better results if you work on the EQ. But most of the people will use these speakers out of the box. It's a personal preference after all. And thank you for the feedback 😊

That's actually true!! I see a lot of people buying expensive loud speakers and use them only at 20%!! Anker is definitely one of the brands that gives you the best value for money 💰

The popularity of the Bose brand is definitely there (same as Beats headphones). And there is no doubt at all that they mastered the audio technology. However I don't think they mastered the pricing at all!! Top notch when it comes to sound quality but for the value of money Bose is still far behind!! But if you don't care about the value and you have the money to buy it then go for it 👍

The Sony xb13 will give you a better bass but you will compromise a lot like loudness and sound quality. I recommend you to stick with JBL unless you are ok with compromising the size then there are a lot of better options like lg pl7 this speaker is a beast to the price but it's a little bit bigger

These are top speakers in the market. So you can't go wrong with any if lg is your pick then go for it it's the most durable one between these btw ;)

LG PL2 had the latest firmware update for sure however I didn't turn on the sound boost, also I didn't turn on the extrabass on Sony and outdoor mode on the Wonderboom to keep things fair in the comparison and I totally love LG speaker lineup as well. In fact my favorite speaker so far is the LG PL7 but lg didn't do there best on the PL2 compared to the PL7 and keep in mind that these are the top mini speakers in the market so the PL2 is not bad by any means especially if you keep the noticeably lower price in mind but if you want the best and the money is not a deal for you the clip 4 performance is better overall.

@@TechLiner exactly right the lg pl2 and also the sony are value-to-performance champions, also the newest lg xboom pn5/7 are doing interesting things with atmos-like surround sound.. respect 🙏
