The twins needed to move players and make trades before this, festa should have come up after the all-star break.

If you want to know something or know why Festa is so good, he hides the ball better then any pitcher I have ever seen. Elite in that category, he's got great stuff on his pitches too, his downside is he never really pitches deep into games so I'm not sure if that was on purpose to save him for this moment or if he just will never be that guy. Little uncertainty there but this guy is going to be good I think, only hope he stays healthy at the MLB level.

I've been resistant to the idea of moving Louie Varland to the bullpen since it's hard to find quality, good upside starting pitching. However, given the way this year is going for him and the state of the Twins' bullpen, I'm warming up to it. Especially if you're confident that Simeon Woods-Richardson and David Festa are going to be solid starter contributors going forward. The bullpen is definitely an area the Twins could tinker with and improve right now.

When has a top Twins starting pitching top prospect ever pan out? Last I can remember was Johan and that was Ions ago. He was never a top prospect either. Most are mediocre at best or total busts.

Johan was traded for, so was Lariano. Why no teams trades pitching prospects to the twins anymore, it's why we need new blood in ownership and management.
