Buxton has 9 walks and 62 strikeouts so far this year. His WAR is 0.4. Abysmal batting average with RISP.

Correa currently 10th in All Star balloting now. The fans still hate him for the Astro cheating. What’s odd is Altuve, his partner in crime, is #1 among 2bs and he is having a meh year.

They are playing close to the same level. However, lots more 2B having weaker seasons altuve has had the best season of 2B. Henderson and Witt have played way better than Correa.

Look at MLBMetrics, Julien hasn’t been hitting fastballs either this year. Way down from 2023. If Falvey brings Julien and his .215 average at St Paul up and doesn’t call up Lee, he should be fired.

Buxton is doing well, how about trading him away? Declan says he can rare back and throw from the pitchers mound all 150 lbs behind it hiding that special sticky stuff in that thick beard or mustache! LOL

Buxton still isn't worth 15 million a year, he is a bad contract, period.

That is just not true. Being an MLB average hitter with his defense is worth 15-20mil contract per year

@benjames4502 MAT is nowhere near being an average MLB hitter. He's not average. Also, Buxton is better at defense and at the plate than MAT. It's arguable he's significantly better at both.

@@anthonygruidl1042 15 million a year for a 8 hitter or 3 million. That money could have been used to get Jack flaherty, top rotation pitcher. Is Buxton a difference maker that wins games, no. Does bringing a top pitcher make it possible to win in the playoffs, yes. I thought we used logic and analytics, not emotions. I guess the Twins aren't modeling ourselves after Tampa Bay, another pohlad and twins management lie, right?

@@benjames4502It's extremely easy to look at it right now and make that kind of judgment. I dont mind the contract at all, 15m aint much really and you never know with Buxton. He's a 7-8 hole hitter who has unlimited potential and can get hot any second. Would you take Gallo or Buxton? Farmer/Margot/Santana or Buxton?
