I agree because I’ve gotten so used to the little reflect symbol they added in ultimate that seeing something get reflected without it showing up looks weird
Let 1:44 be a lesson to everyone watching this: never let falco combo you off a dthrow on a platform! Simply just hold towards the closest edge and don't tech and you will always slide off. He should never get anything off that!
This is great. especially with the annotations to videos explaining why glitchy stuff happens. Which you happen to have the best explanations of that I've found on youtube.
the dair at 1:30 where you drop through but still end up on the platform is basically while normally you can drop through no problem the hitlag from the dair hitting leaves Falco above the platform long enough for his landing detection to activate and since the platform is still there you land on it. I believe it's frame perfect but I haven't checked in a while. I know there's a number of ways to do this in PM but I can't remember other examples cause it's been a while, I think peach can float at a specific height to auto cancel frame 1 after releasing float but that's the only reasonably common thing I can think of rn
Don't get me wrong, I like the analysis vids of the main channel more, but I'm still a big fan of the format this channel used to have, and I'd love to see it come back.
No, somehow G&W's up-b incorrectly set their velocity to 0, they do it but they never rise up. If i'm guessing right, for up-b to finish it's animation, g&w must reach the peak of his trajectory and start to go downward. So they're stuck in a up-b loop that's trying to set their velocity to 0 at all times
If you drop through a platform and do an aerial really quickly and it hits someone you can stay on the platform. It has to be really quick and it doesn't work with every aerial. I believe it is referred to as a "platform cancel". Some moves that it works with are falco down air, falco back air, Luigi nair, and Yoshi up air.
