Missy, played by Michelle Gomez, meets River Song, played by Alex Kingston. Taken from 2019’s Diary of River Song Series 5 Buy Series 5 here: www.bigfinish....
I think she means permanently. She’s only forced his regeneration before. Though I’m not sure the Master ever really wanted to “permanently” kill the Doctor. As a fellow timelord, he/she’s probably just always seen death as a flesh wound (like 12 said in Hell Bent, Death on Gallifrey is like the flu).
Given that missy seems to be acting like she's the last of the time lords, I think this possibly takes place during the eleventh era. Before missy met twelve
i love missy talking about being the last of the time lords, it really shows the masters true nature no matter the regeneration - to prove they’re the best and honestly if the events series 6 never happened and the doctor dropped dead leaving missy as the last, i feel like she’d be content to die no regeneration as she feels some sense of achievement and pride
Everyone saying 1:26 is a prequel meme reference, but they miss the one at 0:45 which is from the OG series, Makes me think there's one to the sequel series just after the video ends,
It’s a good thing River clearly doesn’t know about the Missy converting Amy and Rory in to Cybermen. Otherwise she actually would have killed a Timelord.
The Bekdel test is the name for a feminist gauge for films. They pass the test if they have two woman that have a conversation without men. It’s probably a bit more complex than that. I can’t be bothered looking it up.
Not too far off, yeah. The requirements are: - Does the story contain at least two women? - Do these women talk to each other? - Do they talk about something other than a man? It's not really something to remark about too much, but it is rather odd that, for a test with such easy requirements, the amount of films that don't pass is borderline hilarious.
@@SirDanFilmsUnltd it's also if the woman have the importance outside of the men as well. It really is funny and sad that most movies fail it. Of course the test was made as a joke lol but is a pretty real thing
@@SirDanFilmsUnltd So what? Plenty of female stories don’t pass the male version of the Bechdel test. It’s a stupid concept that was designed specifically to be a stupid parody.
@killgriffinnow %95 of movies pass the reverse Bechdel test (where "women" is swapped with "men" in a Bechtel test). Comparatively, only %60 of the movies pass the Bechdel test. This is taking the account and analysis of the last 40 years of popular movies. Simply put, the occurrence of female characters being undeveloped is more prevalent than that of male characters. This isn't an attack nor a criticism on the individual movies that fail the test, but rather social commentary on why this is so much more common than the reverse.
bring them back for one of the 60th anniversary specials and make them catfight, but with lasers and time technology instead of slapping or hair-pulling,
Bro, you cut out the funniest part we’re right after this Missy is trying to get river and guess who she is and River literally goes through every other renegade time Lord plus Romana just to fuck with the master
*punches sky* I called it!!!! I have been saying forever that River is timelord because she was concieved in the Tardis, so she has 3 parents. When she was asked how she knew how to fly the Tardis, she said it was that the Tardis talked to her.
There are two Star Wars references in this actually, the I’m not the time lord your looking for, and also Iv been following your career with great interest
@@roaaoverthinks oh, if that's the case maybe I can tell about a fan audio production called "New 13" by youtuber B-Where. Its reimagining the thirteenth doctor, and has incredibly talented voice actors for him and his companion, and the nice addition of a narrator, which I personally really enjoy as it makes the episodes more understandable. The artwork is also great, as are the stories (especially episode two, which has a great premise). The over an hour long episodes are all available for free on RU-vid right now.
