I've heard all these jokes except for the kiwi seeds one. Absolutely brilliant! I never get tired of Mitch jokes, but that was an Easter egg for me. RIP Mitch
It's a bummer that Mitch never got to do a set with ten million of himself in the crowd. He would be the perfect audience for himself. EDIT: Actually ten million is probably too many. A few thousand Mitch Hedbergs. There, that's the right amount.
“I can’t wait for this show to be over, because I got a roll of lifesavers in my pocket and pineapple is next” may be the most underrated line I’ve heard at a comedy show
@@cjloiro pineapple is one of the flavours of lifesavers, a lot of people’s favourite flavour. So he can’t wait to eat the pineapple lifesaver after the show. Oh yeah, also ,the life savers are kept in a “roll” so you can only get one flavour at a time.
Did you hear that on joe Rogans podcast? that shits hilarious I love the one where he says I bought a donut, they gave me a receipt for the donut, I don't need a receipt for a donut, I'll just give you the money you give me the donut end of transaction. we dont need to bring ink and paper into this, I just can't imagine a scenario where I have to prove that I bought a donut, some skeptical freind dont even act like I didn't get that donut, I got the documentation right here oh wait it's back home in the files under d.
I love that ralphie was in the crowd laughing his butt off supporting his homie!! Rip to both legends, that must have been an amazing lineup that night.
That was Louie Anderson introducing Mitch Hedberg ending with Ralphie May laughing his ass off, this made me happy and incredibly depressed all at once
@@JoseGranny Yes,If I remember correctly his family Video taped Mitch, us.I really should try and locate his father and ask if he still has them. Lots of good times even in high school.
It's rare to see a comedian who uses clever humor over crude humor. On top of that, Mitch was brilliantly unique in his delivery. That's why so many people loved his comedy. RIP Mitch.
Corey Cross so sad that ppl seem to think funny = sex positions, descriptions of genitalia anything vulgar. It's like everyone's pandering to 15 yrs old boys. Miss his humor R.I.P MITCH
I don't think he's using clever humor 'over' crude humor because some crude humor is clever. Anything can be funny with the right delivery. You're just comparing him to shit comics.
I saw Mitch in Fullerton, CA just before he died. He had everyone laughing so hard, including me. The only joke I can actually remember was, "I tried to go to Target yesterday... but I missed." RIP
Mitch Hedberg is a legend. To memorize all of those one liners and not repeat himself is unbelievable. He was great at taking risks and was able to make fun of his own bad jokes. The crowd was always laughing with him. He was so unique and he was ultra talented. He single handily made me fall in love with stand up comedy. I continue to watch new comedians all the time because of his influence. Mitch is king!
Have you seen that comedy special where the crowd don't know his humour and got hardly any laughs but he soldiered on and after 15 mins they got him. Bloody genius piece of comedy. Bloody marvelous. Respect from England 🙌
My ex loved this dude so much he wrote a comment about how awesome Mitch was and how bummed he was he passed on a fb page or something and his family wrote back a huge response!! They agreed with how great he was, how sad they are too and thanked him for his kind words. It was really really cool, my ex was thrilled.
I always loved Mitch's style. He seems so genuine and his comedy is such a stream of consciousness. I know he workshopped a lot of his material, but it almost feels like your just listening his thoughts while he's in the shower.
yeah, same here.. i feel like i should really avoid these kind of people in future.. ..but then again, i think it would be mean to just throw the kids out of my house, after all, they're only 1 and 3 years old..

Such amazing delivery. Hard to believe he wasn't comfortable in front of crowds. He was better than most of today's comedians. You are missed by all of us. Rip, Mitch. ✌🤣👍

Seeing Ralphie May roaring with laughter at the end of Mitch’s set made me both incredibly happy and incredibly remorseful at the same time. Such great talents, both gone too early.

"Yeah, I DO suck but I got a lot of free time." Then you can see another comedian, Ralphy May in the audience, chucking it up! LOL Mitch was so loved by all! ❤
God I love this dude. Just his chill laugh and odd observations. "Hehehehehe...I was gonna say how's everyone doing....but then I reFRAIINED. ....alright..."
...and mashed potatoes...and the best here was Mitch laughing at his own joke... 😆 Priceless...and Mitch you have MORE FANS NOW THAN EVER !! Know that we love you,are still saddened by your early departure but Happy and thankful that You were here and created n shared your comedic genius for all to enjoy ! Wish I could have met you...
We will absolutely NEVER have anyone like Mitch again. Even saying normal sentences, his delivery is hilarious. Like in the joke at 1:36. Just when he says "I'll be damned if I'm not HUNgryyy" 😂😂
His jokes were the "stupid humor" kind. Not because the jokes were stupid, they're all fairly clever (the original "shower thoughts" perhaps), but when you hear them you can't help but laugh and say "that's so stupid".
Man oh man I loved this dude! My friends & I used to listen to him all the time back in Highschool, especially during art class...we'd split the headphones up lol. Mitch had the best one-liners!. R.I.P. MITCH HEDBERG, THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS & YOUR AURO!
I saw at 3 a.m. but that was back in 1997 when this show air after Saturday Night Live okay I'm lying I would record it on VHS with a timer on my VCR that's how I rolled then
My favorite Mitch Hedberg joke: "I want to be a racecar passenger. Just the guy who bugs the driver. Hey man, can I turn on the radio? I think you should slow down. Why do we keep going in circles? Man, you really like Tide."
He died at a hotel that was walking distance from the house I grew up in. Livingston, New Jersey. It makes me sad to think that he was so close by while he was suffering. He’s incredible. I can only imagine all the wonderful accomplishments he would have made if he’d lived. Rest In Peace, MH ♥️
Hopefully it was quick. I’m no professional, but I can’t imagine speed balling being much of a drawn out death. 37 years old is damn young. What a shame. I don’t think I’ve heard of this guy before so I just looked him up. I liked this! His name kept making me think about Max Headroom lol.
@@gadvait2010 So what Mitch is saying is that if he doesn't do well, the management will make him clean the club. That makes us think that he's gonna work extra hard make everyone laugh. Instead, he says they were good because they were "neat" which means he didn't have to clean up as much. In other words, he's pretty much saying, in his own self deprecating way, that the crowd was not going to laugh either way so because they were neat, it made his job easier to clean up after them. They crowd was good because they were neat...not because they laughed more, which is what we would expect him to say. It was really a subtle way to give his joke a little extra kick at the end 😁

Just discovered this chap... and I must say he had me laughing pretty good...his delivery and the way he made you think were unique.. it’s a shame we lost this talent at such a young age and I imagine the laughter he would be bringing to a new generation... RIP Mitch..gone but not forgotten!
@@BratvaTV Fair enough, I was not being critical I just wanted to understand the joke, funny or not. Why wouldnt the next flavor be Cherry? I like Tom Segura others dont like his dry delivery. Either way I was asking just to understand how he put concepts together. Then again, not knowing might be the joke, I dunno?
"I like dizzy Chicken!" Man this guy was the Sh!t! His brain just worked differently than other people. He had to come up with some of these lines while he was extremely high!
Mitch's jokes had this way of sneaking up on you after he already started the next joke. The first time I listened to "Mitch All Together," I laughed until I couldn't breathe. I missed so many jokes because I couldn't stop laughing. On subsequent replays, I found stuff I missed that sent me over the edge again. He was brilliant and sweet.
Everytime i use use my Cheese shredder to grind up some cheddar cheese, i say to myself "sponge ruiner" and giggle. Still got a self burned CD of one of his specials, and always have it along in my car. When i feel roadragey, i just pop in that disk and i'm all good. Miss you Mitch...
Something that people never knew about Mitch was that he had extreme stage fright his entire career. He struggled before each and every performance which caused him severe anxiety.
Yes he was on heroin or severely drunk every time he got on stage!! Sad but true! The high was too powerful for him in the end! He needed it more than living itself!! 😏
Hearing someone in the crowd hysterically laughing and the camera panning seeing Ralphie in the crowd laughing brought a tear to my eye! Love both those guys!

Only found this guy today. One of the best I've ever heard. Reminds me of how robbin Williams would deliver jokes. Mitch's jokes are absolutely phenomenonal
He was funny, sure, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he was the best. I mean, his best buddy, Doug Stanhope is better. He kills it. But it's true that a lot of comedians really liked Mitch Hedberg. I guess it's a personal preference thing. I'm not a huge fan of one-liners. That said, he's one of the best at that format. Jimmy Carr is another guy that's in the same vein, just a little bit edgier.
George Carlin was a good example of that. Went from doper humour with a touch of absurdity (good example is his "what time is it" routine); to the firebrand we all knew and loved in his later years. Mitch would've been similar I guess.
Start out observing and discovering humor on people end up discovering there are really SOB's who should be made materials for comedy. "George Bush...even the name..."
Even now in the age of twitter and vine. I feel like his style is so well suited to the sense of humor that dominated the 2010s. I would've loved to see what he'd be doing in that environment.
No notes, no index cards, nothing.... This legend could talk for 2 hours on heroin, never repeat a line, and get more laughs than 95% of today's comedians. RIP Mitch. Genius.
The first comedian I loved was Steven Wright from the HBO specials, when I learned 20 plus years later when I stumbled across our beloved Mitch that he was his fav. comedian I fell in love with the Guy may he rest in peace we all love and miss you thanks for the laughs. You are our legend.
It doesn't matter how many times I hear him repeat the same lines, they still make me laugh my ass off, his "Rice" joke gets me EVERY TIME. Its a damn shame he passed away.
Heroin users from the likes of comedians and rockstars definitely can come up with the best of material for us folks sitting in the audience! Thank you guys for entertaining us, straight folks!!
