I get the sense whoever runs this channel learned English as a second language, if indeed they ever learned it, and aren't using Google Translate for their titles.
Seems like a win/win to me. Fan will never interfere again, and gets to hug one of the GOATS. Sometimes you gotta scold your child and apologize later, yea? Both are better, happier men in an instant.
@@londonrhodes2429 Same. If you're right on the fence like that, and the ball is coming your way, step back and let your team make the attempt to field it. But I can see myself doing it and then regretting it immediately. I would feel like that's out of character for me and would want to make up for it somehow. Thank him for being understanding, and ask him to please give the players some extra space to do their jobs in the future. They're out there for the fans, y'know? Stay out of their way.
Haha I was gonna say, the title is a bit wonky. Accidentally apologizing is something I would love to see. "Dammit I just apologized to him. How did that happen?"
Yea the title is a bit confusing but I think the word “accidental” has more to do with the fact that these pitchers are accidentally hitting the batters or coming close.
@@calebwhitetheawoken not probably, I can't. That doesn't make Bautista look any more dumb. It's like giving up a hit then talking crap. Makes you look dumb.
I’m a Yanks fan so a little biased but it’s hard to hate Jeter. He played the game the way it’s meant to be played, don’t think he had many ejections if any really, never any scuffles that I know of, and respectful to everyone around him.
Class act! Let’s not forget, this man had gift baskets ready to distribute the morning after one night stands for the lucky lady on her way out the penthouse!
*I like to see this type of sportsmanship. It's basic common sense. You make a mistake (especially one that causes pain), you quickly apologize for that mistake. Thanks for posting this!*
@@unclejimmy5778Young is one of the tallest ever MLB players, IIRC. Listed as 6’10 or 6’11. Only guy taller was an angels prospect who never made it past double A to my knowledge.
*Ask him out on a date if you love him so much. Geez!* LOL. I'm just messing w/ya (I felt like I had to, being a lifelong Braves fan). : ) But I agree, Votto is a great player & a nice guy (from what I've heard). 👍🏼
2:46 Alr but look at the young guy behind red shirt's expression change from AHH NO THE CATCH--- to *Pft--* Did he just pull his shirt? .. He did--dang he mad lol
You know, that struck me the same way as well. And I thought about it and realized a lot of players just disregard fans and act like they're invisible after they slam into them in the stands. I don't really get it. Like is someone going to punish you for doing a quick once-over and making sure everyone is okay? MLB would definitely look like villains if they punished a player for that. Are the players really butthurt that the fan is in their seat where they're supposed to be? I'm not referring to live plays that are still in motion of course, but when the ball is dead I think you can take a second to be like "you guys good?".
"Accidental Apologies" would be a series of apologies that themselves happened by accident -- the person making the apology didn't intend to apologize. What we have here are "Accident Apologies," which are apologies for accidents for which an individual was responsible. I honestly clicked here because I wanted to see cases where people apologized without meaning to and maybe tried to rescind their apologies. Words matter.
Respect respect respect that's what is respect is all about when you respect others they will respect you but if you disrespect others you are going to get disrespect point blank
3:13 is why I still have respect for angel hernandez. Yeah he’s had some pretty bad games but he’s still a stand up dude. From watching his games he’s actually approachable and doesn’t go on a power trip and throw everyone out like some umps do. He seems good at defusing situations where two teams are beefing with each other as well. Terrible behind the plate but not a terrible guy
Sometimes I think the one who does the injuring ends up more rattled than the guy they hit; I've seen pitchers look like they want to puke, and guys who need to be settled back down before they can continue.
I'm seriously beginning to think that only seventeen things have ever happened in all of baseball. Where's the Dee Gordon home run -- is it missing because he didn't apologize to Colon?
Hahaha...it's a little known rule in baseball. If the ball enters (and I mean don't lean! ) enters the fans seating area, the fan is allowed to make a play for the ball. They just can't touch the player. 😆 Votto was right to apologize, and the umpire was right to just call it a foul ball.
Votto doing what he did just shows his class. In no way did he need to apologize and had every right to do what he did. Yes he put his hands on a fan, but it was to remind that fan of who they support. There was no malicious intent.
