I collected these videos for the sole purpose to share a different side of this sport. All rights belong to Major League Baseball. I am not making money from this video. Purely fan made, please enjoy.
What I noticed about all these ejections is that every time a player got ejected, their manager came out to defend them, and usually the managers got ejected right after the players did for sticking up for them. I don't really watch baseball but I thought that was really cool. You rarely see that in other sports.
Yep, Managers are very good about protecting their players. Even when the players are getting out of hand, they still try to get there before the player gets ejected and keep the peace. Sometimes they even take the ejection for their player so they can keep them in the game.
This is what baseball has over other sports. No other sport will have the players or coaches get into the face of the officials like baseball does. The passion and fire you see from them is something to behold.
I love how whenever a batter gets ejected between pitches almost EVERY catcher has the same "damnit, we're doing this" sorta reaction as they come out of the crouch and walk away.
I am working very hard on the next video I'm sorry I have a life just like you so please relax I have school, family, and sports so I'm working as hard as I can
But the announcer is (was?) nothing but a homer. Stick to real announcing! Harrelson's one of the all-time WORST announcers! I'm all for giving umps grief once in a while, but do it the right way. Don't be a homer! In fact, you could say that Harrelson was being a Karen!
@@notsowiseguy999-gt1sf Gee, Hawk? What is this game about? Beanball wars? He kept on saying that the umpire should be suspended, should go back to school, has no business umpiring, that he doesn't know baseball, that "sure the other guy was hit..." The umpires are under orders to stop beanball wars before they get started, knowing that the risk of injury is too high and they're better off running one person early than getting a bench-clearing brawl and figuring out which six guys get run.
One of my all time favorites, was Francona arguing with Tichnor after Varitek's ejected. Lol very animated! My second favorite is easily Joe Girardi arguing with Laz Diaz! Lmao good stuff. THIS IS WHY IVE ALWAYS LOVED THE SPORT OF Baseball
+transitny MLB does require their umpires to be fit. It unfortunately took a tragedy to make it happen (John McSherry collapsing of a heart attack in the middle of a game).
Most umpires/managers are former players. They kept their bodies in great shape for 30+ years. They kinda deserve to relax and stuff their face after the extreme workouts and diets some these guys put themselves for years
A little cliche and underbust too 😮😅😢but! What's the percentage of games in a season whereby we get these great friggin videos, .. The game needs nothing. We need the game. Baseball, for me, 46 years from birth and found myself interested in finding a new sport. Took to the Cubs for one reason: " how about those Cubs?". Taking care of business. Great film, truly. MLB, MLB, likely one oughta simply say and choose a thing of delicacy of Zen, this thing of...,...he who speaks does not know.., and whoever knows does not say..,., This is the last bastion of hope for world sport! ... Aaron judge was filmed saying yeah credit to the team, it's always a good opportunity to contribute and see how the managers can find a way to win, of course he didn't speak exactly the words that you have just now read, hahahahaha 😅 Back form brevity it's bollocks to the foundation of this most quintessential post, yes 😅 I hear you 😂 we'll be I'm asking what the Dickens 😮 relax brother mine 😊 Aesthetics matter Matter aesthetically. This is the trick. The trick is this is the truth 😅
Thank you so much for this video, it’s just about the most amazing thing in the world to see grown men get so passionately worked up about a game....plus it helps me get some offseason baseball fix
30:36 "Oh, what are you doin'?! He threw him outta the ball game, you gotta be bapin' me! What in the hell are you doin'?! What are you doin' Wegner?!"
+Soldierdude I don't understand why the commentator is so angry at the umpire. It was a fastball where the pitcher looked like he released the ball late on purpose to hit the batter. The umpire is right to eject the pitcher. Baseball is not about beanball wars.
+testpilot ikr. "What in the, uh.." {to the other announcer} f... no, that's not the word. Hey, what's that four-letter word I can say when I want to say that four-letter word I can't say? Oh, right, that's the one... "HELL are you doin'?" It reminds me of the guy in the TechTV clip who shattered the rare antique phonograph part.
This is a time honored way for baseball to keep the fans awake.A good ole face to face argument...Ratings go up!Also a great way to get out of a game early...
you may think it looks like he was addressing to Freddie Freeman, it was actually to Fredi Gonzalez, but that does look funny. Getting ejected just for doing a double take
+GTOAviator It's easy for people to hate the umpire but these guys are just humans. If they don't like a certain player due to a previous incident they are less likely to make a call that "benefits" the player.
Firepants20 I like it better at 7:58, "You think I wanted to block his ass?! What the hell are you yelling at?!!!" I know the umps don't get much love, but in this situation, Ump is right. I mean, what the hell, that's the way the ball bounces (OR, for you aficionados who watched the documentary called "The Inglorious Bastards of Baseball," well..."That's just the way the pickle squirts."
ridgewoodian I'm thinking the same thing. It is currently 1:13 am my time and my alarm goes off at 6 am and I am watching the end of it. Never thought I would watch an entire video this long that didn't involve farts or planes shooting each other down.
I think what's going to happen is an umpire is going to get physically assaulted during a game, It happened in the Caribbean Baseball already a manager threw a punch at an umpire
37:18 Please tell me someone else caught this. In the middle of an ejection in an As and Astros game just a random clip of Ron Washington pissed in the Rangers dugout for some reason.
Love the commentator from 30:35 keeps saying "umpire doesn't understand the game of baseball", so the game of baseball is pitching the ball 92 mph behind the batter I'm pretty sure that's not the game of baseball obviously this commentator doesn't know the game of baseball.
4:22 is like the worst case of angel and devil on the shoulder "Throw it" "No don't just relax" "Then let's compromise by throwing it a little bit" "Seems fair" 😂😂😂
Great video! I watched every second of it. Can't wait to see the hit batters one next! Also if your looking for more ideas for new ones I would love to see one of the worst injuries in baseball. Just a thought. Once again, good job!
That is an out at 15:18 it should not have been reversed. Foot is firmly on the bag as the ball touches the glove. It's a force out so it doesn't matter that he falls off the base.
yesim18duh14 you are absolutely right. I'd like to add that the rule states that the ball is deemed in the glove when the ball touches the glove. It does not have to be fully in the webbing as some think I add that because I think the rule is interesting and fair
Great compilation...superb. Thanks for posting. Baseball is so fantastic...my 16 yr old son is a high level pitcher and is being heavily scouted. He has dealt with all types of strike zones and it can be tough. He always handles himself with class and I commend that.
I love how buddy in the bottom left whipped out the camera when the Reds catcher got into it with the umpire. He's like "this gon be some juicy stuff".
Regardless, it was really, really close....it wouldn't be a bad call either way, in my opinion. His foot came off the bag just as the ball got there...just a matter of which you think happened first.
Speaking as a former college catcher and someone who’s played ball over 30 years, that ejection for the non touch on an umpire by the reds catcher is COMPLETE BS! Umpire knew he disagreed and moved in closer escalating the situation. Umpire should of been reprimanded.
I've no clue what's going on apart from strike, ball & out system thanks to Wii Sports. I was just thinking do they not Eject players pretty fast if they just complain about one thing? Or is there usually more complaints before they're ejected that we don't see?
It often depends on what you complain about, as much as how you complain. Balls and strikes traditionally, will get ANYONE ejected very quickly, especially if profane about it. Some players may have, as the game progresses, 'extra words' or gestures for umpires, which might not get an ejection right then and there, but would put that player on a shorter string with a certain official... that's probably the category of stuff we don't always see. Then you have your unsportsman-like conduct ejections. Equipment violations are an automatic ejection but it's always up to blue what rates as 'violation' of equipment. There are two ways to toss your batting helmet, one way to get ejected and one way not to.
30:36 I think I've seen clips of this announcer before. I really don't like him because he gets so pissy if something doesn't go the way he wants it to.
39:45 "That was a strike." "Yeah looks like strike to me." *overhead clearly shows the pitch was a ball* "Close enough!" LOL there's literally plain-as-day video evidence that you're wrong and you aren't honest enough to admit it. Gotta love homers.
I love that in sports you can literally get ejected from your profession. Then you get to wake up the next day and go back to work. Wish I could lose my shit at my job and get to come back the next day
