I like Harper, but he sure gets rung up a lot. Just throwing the bat and helmet can get you hooked, not sure why he was so surprised when he gave the blue some lip service lol.
Many of these umpires need to realize that they are not the focus of the game. I also love all the comments talking about how Harper's a cry baby but every time we actually look back at what he's complaining about he's right.
Everyone complaining about Harper "whining all the time" havent watched a single baseball game since 2017. Harper hasnt been as hot headed since he came to Philly, and every ejection hes gotten in Philly was for a completely valid reason.
If you mean the Reds game, Those two pitches were actually good pitches. The box on the screen was very inaccurate as the top of the box was at waist height, and the strike zone goes higher than that. Broadcasts almost always have terrible box placement for the strike zone, and the teams are foolish to go by those boxes.
Two things i cant stand harper as a person but he didnt swing he definitely held it it wasnt even close and as a field umpire youre job is to watch for tricky foul balls that the home plate umpire cant see from their angle especially the umpires in the A and C slots and i just umpired little league but thats umpiring 101
i umpired all sorts of games, from pony/colt & high school to some college & semi-pro games over a span of 15 years (after being a catcher for 15 years). some of the guys i umpired with, made it to the pro level (thankfully none of them are on this video). But while i know i missed a few strike calls (very few according to the rating i had), I swear to God......some of these clowns are the reason the MLB will move to frikkin' robots in the next year or so. not only are some of these guys just plain BLIND - but you gotta leave the 'thin skin' at home......and yeah, how 'bout that angel hernandez??? it's obvious the umps don't like bryce harper (i think there was a 'survey' of the umps and they admitted it).....but honestly, angel hernandez shouldn't even be on a little league field let alone a professional field......
@@jayblackout bro the bat barely moved off his shoulder, I’m not saying he doesn’t wine all the time (because he’s does) but I mean he had a right to be upset about that one
Harper and Votto are both whiners. Harper not as bad, but Votto all the time. He even had the nerve to bitch on possibly his last game in a reds jersey. Not a good way to possibly leave the club.
In defense of the players some of these are bad calls made by the umpires. Granted the players have to behave better and the umpires have to make better calls.
