I wonder if you would be interested in trying 2x Warping Wail in the side instead of Run Afoul. Wail can counter Tasha's Hideous Laughter (our worst match up) and it also has the added capability of countering Sorcerys and exiling 1 power or toughness creatures.
I think whennyou make changes to a deck, you need to think more holistically. If you add synth you need to add red sources and you need to have a plan for them (where is synthesizer better than another card? That is the question) i love synth and I have played it in the past, but it is not just about adding something to a deck.
Thanks so much for all your hardened scales gameplays and primers! I just got top 8 at a RCQ with most of your GW version of the deck! I used some notes and suggestions from your GR version to change up the sideboard. I would’ve tried out GR but I haven’t had time to get the pieces. One thing I liked about GW (besides sentinel obviously) is how useful it was to give Zabaz flying at times just to get overhead when they shutdown inkmoth. Have you ever considered throwing in some white sources like pathways in GR in order to get that extra bit of reach? Or do you think it would just make it too inconsistent?
I have tried novle hierarch and it mot being an artifa t and dying so easily was a deal breaker. I am looming forward to the 1 colorless mana colorless bird that taps for colorless!
