In this episode we heavily modify the oil pan, modify the exhaust manifolds, and measure up a custom radiator. We're starting to get the sense that this motor wasn't designed to go in a Rx7... hmm

Have you considered a dry sump system? That would help you in a number of ways. I love the build!

Thanks so much! Ya we did, but we want to try to keep the system as simple as possible to keep it reliable. I know dry sump can be reliable when done properly but it’s just one more thing to fail. Also will ad clutter to the engine bay 😂

Not really, and that sounds extra expensive and intricate. We were looking into accusump oil accumulators as a worst case back up but it seems like we should have a factory equivalent pan with the side cutouts and modified pickup!

Haha no where yet, we can make just shy of 700hp 700ftlb naturally aspirated with some minor modifications, at that point you can come take it for a rip and tell me if it needs more 😄

Funny enough that was the first take. It had a certain raw unplanned feel to it. I actually didn’t tell clayton what I was going to do. I just told him to start talking and I would pass him things. 😂
