I had pretty damn low expectations for this game, I saw pretty low Hype behind this and the fact EA was working on it had me pretty iffy about it. But god damn, I loved this game, this is a definite pickup for anytime who’s a fan of Star Wars, take it as an apology from EA after they gave you battlefront

For anyone who refuses to give money to EA, Codex has cracked Fallen Order already.

EA should get no credit here. This is a Respawn game. A company that still maintains some integrity in this corporate dimension. EA just gave them money to make it possible and Respawn is teaching them that you can make money just making a single player game with actual depth and fun. And they did it well. Extremely well.

Do lightsabers sever storm trooper or other humanoids' limbs? I always found it weird that we don't see that a lot in some star wars games featuring lightsabers, that inconsistency is odd. I think the only one I can think of atm is jedi outcast? Hopefully I'm not remembering that wrong.

Darth Vader looks like Mr. X from Resident Evil. They did a great job making him look imposing. I was disappointed he didint swim after them in the end 😂

Respawn has a surprisingly powerful power, the ability to conveince EA to not fill their games with microtransactions.

Christ, man. Charlie is definitely a vet cause I have trouble with this game on master mode. I haven't played it in a while cause I rage quit and I don't even remember where I was at. Might have to come back at it this weekend. But yeah, in my opinion, the challenge is on the same level as Souls games. I don't think I have had any more trouble with Dark Souls 3 than Fallen Order.

This basically is a playable movie. Like the cinematic can make a mandalorian episode and a long movie .

I think that a combo of Fallen Order combat and lightsabers + The Force Unleashed collectibles (eg. Kyber Crystals that you find) would be amazing

I think theres one more criticism, in which its the main characters voice acting. It feels like he doesnt change tone at all, which sounds really bad especially when its him and saw literally talking through AT AT glass or when theyre on the train and it sounds like theyre close enough to fingerblast eachother even though theyre on the top of a speeding train and the other one is in a space ship about 30 ft away.

It was fun but the ennemi stamina mechanic was kinda anoying to me. I much prefer the dodge/block mechanic without having to constantly have to break the stamina shield before hiting them.

Who would have though that during the year in which a 40 year saga comes to an end...the Star Wars IP would be saved by a TV show and a video game!!!

Rushed story, odd map placements, inconsistent AI combat, low fps, visual glitches, other than that, solid game

My biggest problem with Fallen Order was possibly more to blame on my Xbox. Sometimes scenes would get choppy (the first cutscene on Kashyyyk was literally one singular frame per second). Other than that, it was a very rewarding game, and I was glad to 100% it just so I could keep killing stormtroopers and shit. Also, though I don't consider myself a massive Star Wars nerd, I loved the lore, especially any tidbits about Order 66. That's one event in the Star Wars lore I find intensely fascinating, especially from the perspective of the clones.

Well, I'm getting my ass whooped by the first mini boss at normal difficulty already, so... I guess my run will be a bit longer than 15 hours.

I had an incredible time playing this game, I really do believe the developers love Star Wars and it shows through their development of this game. Because I enjoy respawns work, I wouldn’t mind supporting them for more dlc of this game.

Tip for anyone having trouble with the final boss, I found it helped to be pretty aggressive with your force abilities.

This game has a lot of problems but it’s one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played.

I kinda felt that the reason Cal sprints the way he does is because he's trained to keep the lightsaber as far away from his body as possible. I imagine you wouldn't want that thing anywhere near your sides running with your elbows by your hips, and it makes a lot more sense when his lightsaber is out. I think they just didn't give him a unique sprint when his lightsaber is sheathed, which may look clunky, but also kinda makes sense he didn't learn two different ways of running depending on whether he has his lightsaber out or not

Honestly the only problems I have with this game are the weird puzzles and the really confusing navigation, I dunno if anyone else has this problem or if I’m mentally handicapped but trying to make my way back to the mantis or anywhere in the map is just a fat brain aneurysm for me. The puzzles aren’t exactly complicated trigonometry type shit but sometimes it’s just really not clear what you’re supposed to do and the hints don’t help at all. That aside pretty much everything about the game is really good, glad Charlie gave it a good score on the meter.

Such a satisfying game after all the recent shit releases.

The only time I ever got upset at this game was the ball puzzle.

To everyone who felt the ending wasnt that good and made the whole journey feel pointless: yeah i felt the same way about the ending at first as well, but then i thought about it some more. Cal's original plan was to train the new generation of jedi alongside Cere but that changed when he saw the vision of the inquisitors and purgetroopers attacking all of them and capturing some to become new inquisitors and cal himself becoming one. After he saw that, the mission simply just became about keeping the names of the force-sensitive children out of the hands of the empire. Plus it makes sense that cal's original mission to train the new jedi would never succeed because we know that doesnt ever happen in canon. So with all of that in consideration im pretty satisfied with the ending. Sure, he didnt do what he originally set out to do but he DID save the lives of many children, who can choose their own destiny when theyre older

this game is what got me into the star wars universe. it presented such a vast collection of planets and civilisations to show just how unique star wars truly is. i love this game and will love it always.

Charlie should cover the new COPPA regulations on youtube. It could ruin channels and careers and not many big youtubers are talking about it. this NEEDS to be brought up more and brought attention to!
