Actually Monopoly if played by the rules usually only lasts about 30-45 min. The only reason you get crazy long games are because people add "House" rules and add other houses and hotels if they run out which extends the game.
Even if he hadn't won a million dollars, he still earned more from walking around in this game than most people I've seen who have won games like the Weakest Link or Wheel of Fortune
Thats only on the 4th side of the board, but at the same time there's also a win $1million automatically card mixed with that go to jail card and regular prize cardw
But on "fourth street" (the last edge of the board before GO), that's when the rule change kicks in. Third street Chance, yes, you heard correctly, were prizes only.
Covering your eyes in a very suspenseful moment happens with the majority of people. Big difference from face palming. Ever heard the saying, "I can't watch"?
Sniperhayd11 Well, he won a million in the game, and the specific audience section won the $200k split amongst them. However, as many others have explained in the comment section, after the government taxes the hell out of his winnings, he'll be left with around half of that. Still a lot, but not quite as amazing as the million sounds.
〖ᗴᗪ〗Clan Official It doesn't sweetie, you'll be happy now but lets see how you'll be after taxes, payments, and when family starts showing up asking for loans, not to mention that criminals will target you if they find you. Let's see if you're still 'happy' after that.
mayday mayday someone just won some money on a show so let's target him as criminals, attacking him will get us the money for sure. btw all the things you mentioned taxes, payments and family loans can all be solved with more money lol. denying money brings people happiness is kinda funny you can have a lot more luxurious life with money.
Problem with more money is that you're more afraid to lose it. then the stress builds after you get more and more money. Money can get you your euphoria for like a couple of days then you just start getting worried and worried.
unless you yourself was in the position it's just pure speculation there can be people who work and get well paid and aren't stressed out about losing their money. And that's my counter speculation right there .
I love how all the women come out as soon as he wins the money and his mother says that she never doubted him... But we all know damn well it wouldve just been another day if he didnt win that money
American game shows: *roll virtual dice, walk forward, win tens of thousands of dollars, or in this guys case, a million* British game shows: "what was the name of Ernest Hemmingway's dog? Yes! That is correct Congratulations! You win a toaster!".
They made this version way easier than the original. There used to be multiple "Go to Jail" spaces on the board that the player had to place before the bonus round started. I believe it was four.
if it was a digital dice roll, Ill be on that with you , but you see they are using a machine to make REAL die to roll, ,and the power is in the players hands
isnt the tax included? wihout tax he gets 1 million or not? acutally its 1 million and 37 + electric bills ... meaning he can crypto mine for a year for free :D
Ok so in Gemany it is like this: If you win money like that in a tv show, the law says it is tax free as long as "luck" was included while winning that money and no party said anything about a contract or said "work" (in this case the tv show didnt say that he needed to do stuff it was rather random work) needed to be done in order to win. And in Germany you are only getting it tax free if its just 1 show with you and not like you are on the tv show every week. But I don't know the law for the US. Would be a surprise if it was kind of the same to be honest! Also if you win in Germany you only need to pay taxes if you invest the money in let's say the stock market!
It's a bit of fun. Hell I knew he was going to win because of the title but I was still worried that he'd land in jail or something. Fun for the audience, fun for the contestant. Great TV. Don't be a sourpuss
alZiiHardstylez I respect your opinion of seeing it as a bit of fun. Why am I a sourpuss because I don't find that entertaining? I am expressing my opinion without insulting anyone. Also, I was just pointing out the FACT, that it's literally roll the dice and get money.
there only 5 turns. if you wont win 1m. you wont get more then 45k 100%. you will get less. that how they get money. and do you think that was only 1 or 2 players. i think they cut 100 of who lose they money + that dice are magic. like in casino :D
poor guy, now he's gonna be patronised by his family for money and have a horrible argument, push everyone away, and spend all the money on drugs to cope with his depressive anxiety. feelsbadman.
i just saw this video to remind me rules of Monopoly :), and it seems completely planted but good to learn. host should request to winner to pay his electric bill for a year after won millions :)
^And someone said in a different comment that you had to win a state lottery in order to get invited as well. So they've made money from ticket sales and marketing their Monopoly game. There's always money involved.
