Montauk...even to this day, after almost 40 years, the best fishing I ever had! 17 years old, went with my dad, 2 brothers, & a friend of my brother in a 12 foot john boat. Caught the most fish we ever had. Up until that trip, we've only fished in the Catskills. Steamed whole flatfish...mmmm!!!

I love Montauk, fish there all the time. Nice fluke. We get huge fluke over there. Last year a guy pulled up an 18.5 pounder. I won Molnar's tournament with a 10.9 pounder same year. Taste great and fun to catch. Hope you guys come up again when all this covid is under control. Be safe and healthy, tight lines!

used to fluke fish on my grandfathers boat. was based in sheeps head bay in Brooklyn,ny. it was a 65' party fishing boat called the RAINBOW. i miss those days. that was 40 years ago.

😛 THAT'S a charter boat day, 💯 You would think you all were out in October, warm blooded S Florida folk 😘 As always Brian nailed it with his camera work, weather good or bad. Done so well didn't even seem like that ruff of sea. Ya, RIGHT, 🤥 Hey, Hey like them peacock cousin bass. Hope we see a cook and TASTE, for both flounder and bass, to see your all's comparison. Awesome, way to go! Nice looking good sized Fluke! The fishing is said to be better out at Montauk then the other areas of Long Island where more people go fishing. Montauk, is a place I have yet to visit and fish. I did look up the outfitter, you guys went with; Elite Long Island Charters and they do look like a good service. However for the avarage working person the fees/rates are astronomically high. A more affordable deal for common working people would be with a Party Boat named the Miss Montauk II. Which offers a rate of lesser then $100.00 a person for a whole day of Fishing which is affordable for many common working people.

Living here can confirm that I’ve only seen weird stuff occur at West Point army camp all though sure this could be possible and by weird I mean just some strange noises and “ghost sightings aka people sneaking into abandoned buildings so yeah”

We call that a Flounder here in Texas. Been gigging flounder for Manny years here on the bays and Matagorda Peninsula. Had a flounder boat with an air motor back in the 60- 70 des. Gigged a Manny flounder😁😎

Fluke start out with eyes on both sides of their head. The bottom side eye migrates over time to the top side. Nice video.

We use chicken rigs, works way better 8-10 oz sinker gulp and some fluke bellies also we only use 30lb mono to 25-30 braid. I like to FG all my lines. Maybe u can come fish with me sometime now past pandemic !!!

What’s the difference in a Fluke and a Halibut? I was in Alaska last week and caught halibut. Biggest was 39 lbs but they were a lot bigger years ago. They appear to be getting over fished. Love the videos

Here in Washington we call that a flounder. They grow much bigger in Alaska and are called Halibut. The best fish tacos. :-)

Question; those looked exactly like every flounder I've ever caught (except bigger than most of mine!) - is there really any difference, or just different name in a different area?
