5:07 "Look how beautiful Betty is in that dress, not look how beautiful that dress is on Betty." What an amazing dad, I'm so happy that she has supportive parents 💕
I watched the whole dress shopping for her and her father was SOOOO supportive the entire time. There was a dress she picked before that she liked and he was the only one who stood up for her in a loving way. He made me cry a little at how much he cared for her and supported her. It was beautiful.
@@Varaidzo1 idk how but the veil REALLY changes everything. My sister in law tried on her dress and at first i was like meh... but then they put her a veil on and I LOVED it. Idk it just puts it all together and really changes the look
I think that’s because of first it is just a dress, you’re choosing a dress and you know it’s for the wedding but you really don’t have the full picture you know? After you put the veil on, it sinks in. It’s a unique experience, and it becomes very real that it will happen and that the bride just enjoys the way she looks, that’s how she envisions herself and I think everyone can see it. No one will just ruin this moment out of spite or out of “this is not the right dress for you”, it’s the bride’s day after all and that’s the moment everyone else realises it.
But why is every single woman in the first brides entourage stunning, including her- my gosh they are gorgeous. ahh, and then the second bride comes in looking like an airbrushed model of perfection. How do people look so good with a shaved head when I'm over here struggling to have my hair make me look cute.
@MiekoNeko in the TV series 'How I met your mother' they introduce a concept called cheerleader effect which says people are biased to think individuals appear more attractive when they are in a group
@trix o another fun fact is that Ethiopia has been Christian longer than the European world and most of the "founders" of Christianity preached in Ethiopia, married Ethiopian woman, and/or lived in the region... Nothing wrong with asking questions boo!!!! Bc that's how we learn from one another!!!!
True. I hope it’s just for tv drama honestly. If you care about the person you’re going shopping with, you keep your mouth shut until the bride says what she thinks first. It’s sad when they say they love it in the fitting room and then they come out and the entourage just immediately shuts it down.
My favourite is Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. I like Randy a lot but everything about Monte and Lori make them the best pair! The vibe is what weddings should be like.
Dude that second dress....wow. Even the shirt she wore that day was reminiscent of that dress with the little geometric petal shapes. That bride would look amazing in anything!
Can we just appreciate that all the dresses were beautiful and different than the same repeated dresses we see. I wish they would show such dresses a lot😍💖
@@vantestars.v She didn't say yes. She just kind of went yeeeeeeeah. It's not a big deal of anything, but I was waiting for the quintessential YES moment and I got that instead. It was just funny to me
The third dress was absolutely stunning! It's probably the only time I've been floored by a dress on this channel. I've liked a lot of them but I fell in love with the third one. Everything about it was perfect. I wish I could wear a dress like that.
Fortunately our local bridal boutique isn’t big enough for the bride to be accompanied by more than 2or3 family/or friends. Makes the whole experience far more intimate and personal.
Mr. Michael sounded like he was dying inside when he said, "I love it!" I'm glad he finally stopped being a jerk, but I wish he had actually been sincerely supportive. I felt so sad for the bride when he made her cry and criticized her figure. She's a beautiful woman and he was dead set on tearing down her confidence.
Being a gay man does not automatically qualify you as a fashionista! He should have listened to her and seen her face and picked up on it instead of dissing it
He was her pageant coach, guys. He wasn't adjusting fast enough to the change in setting. He's more used to fitting women for pageants. This was addressed in the episode. And he's not a "fashionista" because he's gay. It's because he was interested enough to learn how to operate in the fashion industry, which is a bit of a requirement to be a pageant coach considering the contestants need to look good on stage. Jeez. Why can't people actually think about these things?
I love how they accommodated so wonderfully to the first bride and jacked her up with her traditional culture’s items. Little things that make a big impact!
"I got the guy, I've already won" how sweet... I mean, she knows that the dress is nothing compared to a life with the guy she loves. That third bride is so sweet and full of grace (and by the way, she looks stunning in the dress!).
im far from getting married but i always get so emotional when they find the perfect dress. they always look absolutely stunning it makes my heart so happy for them
That first clip is still one of my alltime favourites. The bride has an enormous entourage and a more traditional/conservative mom, both of which can lead to confllicts & problems. Instead, the whole of the entourage is super-supportive of the bride, and the bride works hard to not only find a dress she loves but also an option that makes her mom happy too. She looks absolutely beautiful, & you can just feel the love emanating from the whole group.
Yeah, it was tension but not cheap tension & it was how a real family is: they’re vocal but you realize it’s all coming from a place of love. Her mother is just reinforcing the values that they already share, the daughter isn’t trying to rock the boat but she wants a nice dress that happens to be modest
They're all so stunning! But the one that really got to me was the last one. That dress was so perfect on her body and the detailing really was amazing. Like a work of art.
This just made me so darn happy. Each bride was just wonderful and it was nice to see families not fighting or being cruel even if they weren't on board with the dress at first sight. Lori and Monte are freakin' amazing. I wish I could've afforded to go to go outside of my own city to find a dress.
This is ridiculous, because I'm not young and not romantic any more, but that last girl put on the veil and I got all goosebumpy. That dress and that veil both were real winners.
The first dress was simply lovely. The second dress was stunning on that woman. Wow. It was elegant and perfect. It also enhanced her tattoos. The third dress was just ok. The fourth dress was beautiful. Actually more than beautiful.
