Bride Hannah is looking for a dress that has a classic Jackie O style. That's all that Monte needed to hear! Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
"As the older sister, I feel like I know more, y'know?" As an older sister, no I fucking don't know, y'know? You're not smarter for being the older sibling, you're just looking for an excuse to feel entitled.
I can't stand when sisters are always at each other's necks all the time for stupid things like a dress. To me events like taking your sister to pick her wedding dress are all about the beautiful memory you'll both cherish for a life time. I wish I had a little sister lol, the feedback would've been much more appreciative 😂
@@theyrecheap6674 I hope your wedding was gorgeous and happy! I missed out on all of my little sister's wedding stuff; the dress shopping, decorations, even the actual wedding. She didn't ban me or anything, I was just hospitalized for most of it and was unable to travel when I wasn't in the hospital (she was in New Mexico and I was in Kansas at the time, so not a short drive). And, I wasn't about to ask her to postpone everything for me, so she sent me videos and pictures, she Skyped me through the dress shopping, so I wouldn't feel excluded. Think I cried more than her through most of it, her thoughtfulness was so overwhelming. We lost our mom a few months before the wedding, so those videos are priceless. Hopefully, I'll have my sister's opinions when my wedding comes.
Jack Sparrow I agree! I have a lot of vintage 50s and 40s dresses, including a wedding dress, and those waists are made to fit you tight and perfectly! No room for a little weight gain 😅
I agree--either of those two would be a great choice, but that first one looked like it was made for her. For that matter, Monte's pick would also have worked well without the pillbox.
Srsly, that first dress was the one to beat. It was so stunning on her. But the one she went with is also great on her. I just loved the way the first one fit on her.
I absolutely loved the first dress on her! I also really liked the dress she choose. She is so sweet and beautiful, I think both dresses complemented her demeanor.
Ikr. Why does the bride-to-be always bring the whole cackling chicken coop with them? Just bring one or two (the respectful ones only) and leave the remaining hen house.
Why did Monty give up so quickly, he could've put a Vail on her, made her hair up like with the third dress and I'm sure she would've looked stunning. ?
I don't understand why evrebody is so excited about the first dress, I saw dresses like that. The dress Monty choose for her looks more like Jakie O dress. The last dress is stunning is more beautiful than first in my opinion.
yeah mom was right, first dress accentuated all the right features. the sister's dress made her look flat as a board. the dress she picked does hit all the right beats really well though.
Personally, I think she should've picked the first one. It was a modern take on the retro style that made her look her age. The last one looked too old-fashioned.
As a person who loves vintage though, I can understand the feeling of wanting things that almost look too vintage even if it's not the best match for myself
It's so tacky to me when a relative gets pushy about a dress they aren't even going to wear. Don't they realize that "classic" means always fashionable? "Modern" means you may look at your wedding fotos in 20 years and chuckle at the dress. Classic means you won't.
Supportive mom, who says..."ohhhhh Hanna".. everytime she walks out.. we need more moms like her in this show 😍 Edit: Thanks for the likes.. never got 2k likes before Edit 2: wow 7k...thank you all 😊
Bride didn't seem to care about anyone's opinion. She shot down the one person who tried, I think that set the tone rather quickly. She seems a bit entitled and immature, so I am guessing they wouldn't dare tell her the truth that she looks ghastly, which she did in almost everything. I guess serves her right.
@@shanji15 I don't know about that, if you watch the Lancashire, Ireland and Curvy Brides editions there's a veeery low (if any) level of drama. The entourage is generally very supportive and so are the consultants. In fact, I like those way more 😂
I know! Finally! And for some reason the consultants usually try to push a mermaid when the bride isn't sure of what she wants. It's getting boring, repetitive, and tacky.
I find it curious that Jackie O is categorised with Grace Kelly. JO is minimalism, straight clean lines, bobbed hair, where as GK is subtle romanticism, long hair in elegant buns/curls. In my absolutely fashion-blind eyes they are worlds apart!
They are, but I think when people think of both of them they think of elegance and simplicity and glamour. Also, they both pooped up around the same time. Which is why they tend to think it's the same style
Agreed, but both in their own style, were extremely elegant, tasteful, classy. So I guess that why we tend to put them together, along with Audrey Hepburn.
I lov ethe mother's reaction so pure and stated whenever her daughter came out wearing any dress. NOw, that is a sign of a good mom who goes along with her daughter. I loved any dress on this bride. She was pure class.
I absolutely love the fact that most of the people she came with have the same “Aww!” reaction every single time she walked out. Most of them are just genuinely excited for her in anything that makes her look beautiful and I love how supportive they were
The bride's body is goals. The first dress looked banging on her, the second one did no justice to her curves, the third one was equally fantastic as the first one, But the one she chose was the one for her.
I honestly she didn’t convince that she was in love with her pick. She looked more excited on the first one, until her sister opened her jealous mouth!
i've been watching this a lot lately and i've noticed a pattern whenever the bride and her family/friends have differing picks, brides style first, family/friends pick and if the bride doesn't like it immediately back to her style, i find that really smart cause dresses outside of the brides comfort zone can tear down her mood so going right back to what she wants is great
The first one was my absolute FAVORITE, I literally gasped when she walked out. I swear I’m not lying. Her body was so well fitted for the dress, it looked like her style and I just- loved it
Omg I know right??? But what her sister picked??? It might have looked good on the sister but it didnt look good on the bride! Flat chest, no waist, no hip... Sister called her Barbie like it was an insult in the first dress, but the dress she made her try on made her look like Skipper!!!
That “yes” was so hesitant, and the “I love this dress...” sounded like she wanted to say “but”.. I think she felt pressured in the end and was worried she was being too picky and upsetting everyone
Honestly, most times the ppl on this show don't end up going with the dress they say "yes" too. But it is a show and If they say no, they are less likely to air the episode.....
Why are some sisters so bitchy?? I support my sister 100%. She could say she wants to wear shorts to her wedding and I would say "if that's what you want" and I would tell her how lovely she is!!
FINE BUT you can add your wisdom to her decision, you could say ''when you look at your wedding picture 20 years from now you'll wish you had worn a dress.'' Just say it once.
i can see some perspective from the older sister because she’s probably jealous her younger sister is getting married first. But literally no excuse to not support her sister.
I hate this description for myself too. Like, I don't find it a compliment but a creepy breach of boundaries for someone to just tell me whether they think I look sexually attractive or not. It makes me uncomfortable, but most people find it socially acceptable and feel both entitled to make those comments and entitled to gratitude for it. When you think of it objectively, this part of American normative culture is very predatory.
@@NasikaSakura I certainly think only romantic partners should be using the word “hot” because it is SO uncomfortable when random people comment on your sexual appeal lmao
I'm 21 and I hate when people tell me I look younger than I am haha Whenever I'm not wearing super noticeable makeup or like casual clothes people are like "omg you look so much younger than 21!" I'm like you do realize it's not a compliment right?
@@TheBlexi3 It is probably the truth but I don't usually go around telling ugly truths to strangers or distant acquaintances, especially unprovoked, so I guess when people do that they think they're paying me a compliment.
@@idek7438 I learned to be ok when people say I look younger. I tell them at lest when I’m 40 I won’t look like I’m 60. Besides I rather look younger then older 🤷🏻♀️. I’m 20 so Ik how you feel but I learned to love it
The brides sister seems jealous to me.That 1st dress holy smokes not only looked classy but smokin hot as well. Yuck the brides sister has no taste at all what is up with that 2nd dress. Sorry not sorry that 3rd dress is I don't know not feeling it she looks beautiful . The 4th dress is pretty I still really like that 1st dress . I must admit once that jazzed her up in the last gown it just all came together and the 4th dress is perfect for her.
Bro why every time a sister wants to choses somthing for the bride or even give an opinion people say she is jealous!! Like it's her sister of course she's going to do that! that's what sisters do believe me in my sister's wedding day I will definitely give my opinion I will definitely let her try dresses that I think are pretty at the end of the day we are there to help her and support her to choose the right dress
My history teacher went on about how pretty Jackie Kennedy was for like 5 whole minutes and how she doesn't understand how JFK cheated (I mean valid). I can understand wanting a Jackie look...
My aunt met her once. She said she was really pretty, but what she was really good at was taking a picture. She’s one of the few people who was actually prettier in her photos.
I really respect this girl because she holds her ground and knows what she wants! Her mother is so sweet how she loves her in everything! Monty is so funny!
To play devil's advocate, the older sister was probably jealous that her baby sister was getting married before her which is probably why she felt like she had to voice her opinions on what kind of dress she thought the bride should get. This has happened to me as well. As the older sister, I thought I would be the first to get married. Almost three years after my sister's wedding, my turn finally came and I got to have the wedding of my dreams! We are still married five years later.
I'm a big sister and I'll just be happy af when my siblings get married. It isnt a race. That's her day 100% and no one should he trying to control it. Sisters have each others backs we shouldnt drag eachother down.
I went with my sister to like 6 places for days / hours and she tried everythingggg just to ending up having the designer from Spain custom make one from 2 dresses, changing fabric, adding and getting it fixed several sizes because she lost a lot of weight after deciding on getting bariatric surgery. She ended up cancelling her wedding after her boyfriend spending tons of money because she reconnected with ' the one that got away'. After 4 engagements she just got married during covid lockdown and had a baby the next week. She just went with whatever fitted and was comfy from Ross but she is the happiest 💓
