This review is absolutely brilliant and bonkers! I think this movie almost broke Mark. Now I'm almost tempted to see it.

Can't believe we caught the exact moment on camera where Mark's brain breaks because of the magnitude of Emmerich's onscreen schlock.

When Mark said it was the stupidest film he's ever seen in his whole life, I started bouncing up and down in my seat laughing. (Because I have a ticket to see it tomorrow!! lol) Now I can't wait!

"It was like my brain turned to sewage and was trickling out my ear" may be the best sentence in any film review ever

Now, this is the Kermode we were waiting for, I felt he had mellowed down over the years

This has to be the most fun I've had watching one of Kermode's reviews. Bravo!

No one has ever said the word "Sharknado" with as much excitement and glee as Mark has done here.

This film was everything Geostorm should have been. Utterly insane and stupid, but so much fun.

I will never see this film but watching Mark’s review gave me a huge amount of enjoyment

This review lived up to my expectations! Lol. Makes it even more hilarious that Roland has been out saying it’s Marvel that’s ruined cinema when he makes films like this.

I don't think I have ever wanted to see a bad movie more.

I saw it a few days ago at a Cineworld special screening and I’ve been waiting for MK’s take on it! It is so bad it’s good. Nothing makes sense, science is thrown out the window, laughably bad lines, and yet another big sci-fi film that takes conspiracy theorists seriously. But if you treat it like a rollercoaster ride/popcorn movie and just go with it, it is so fun.

'Radioactively dumb' is almost poetic. What a review!!

Saw it today and literally enjoyed it a hundred times more than I expected to. Even the annoying guy in the trailer pulled it off. Patrick Wilson and Hale Berry are a safe pair of hands!

Best review ever! It’s like Mark doesn’t want us to watch it but also wants us to watch it to experience the stupidity ourselves.

The best part of the movie is when the freaking MOON manages to sneak up behind people. XD

I saw it today, and I have to agree 100% with Mark. I wasn't expecting too much but I spent the first three quarters of the movie in utter stunned disbelief about how *spectacularly* stupid the film was...then at the three quarter-mark something clicked in my mind (or perhaps it liquified into mush....) and I started to think: "hang on, they must _know_ how idiotic this is, it's actually being done with a wink, it has to be sending itself up..." Once I had accepted the fact that the film was complete trash, I actually enjoyed looking out for the next howler (and they were coming thick and fast). Oddly, I had quite a good time!

Love this review purely because without having even seen the movie the trailers told me all I needed to know , and your review Mark has compounded it by reinforcing the fact that it is a " Saturday night take your brain out " type of film .

If ever there was a glowing review, this is it.

I literally burst out laughing when I saw the title “Moonfall” when seeing the trailer in the cinema.

I just love this review. It is hilarious. ‘The laws of drama have gone out the window…’ The fact that Mark loved it makes it even funnier.

I think he kinda liked it, admired the sheer stupidity of it. I want to see it myself now, thanks Mark.

I've watched it and I still can't believe what I watched. Kenmore does a great job conveying it, but I there's so much going on that you guys have to see it. I don't remember laughing so much in the cinema like ever.

I saw the film on Thursday afternoon, and I had the same reaction. It’s bonkers with loads of plot holes, but it’s a lot of fun and very entertaining!

If this film had not changed a thing but delivered the material in a different tone, it had the makings of THE GREATEST parody of all time-cant believe they played it straight

When I saw 2012 (on the cinema, because it wouldn't be worth it otherwise), I thought it was stupid but incredibly spectacular, and Emmerich's way of acknowledging that disaster movie had probably had their time so he was going just go all out and end with all the bangs. I never suspected there were depth/heights of explosive idiocy still barely explored.

Strangely enthralling, exciting, confusing, genius of a film. Really enjoyed the madness!!!!

So as soon as mark said the 'a' word, the bong on mine happened and I am sure it is now writing the sequel after listening to Mark's request.

Oh..... that's a cross through Tuesday night. I don't always completely agree with MK but am now torn between supporting my local Scott cinema in Henleaze and doing my ironing. I had plans for this on the 8th but suspect even morbid curiosity isn't going to keep me from the laundry basket.

Mark's best review of a film ever!

Oh, it’s just a fun romp with great visuals and likable stars. The JoshGad stand-in says something like “operation ludicrous”! Mark didn’t mention the references to Harvey Fierstein in Independence Day, Contact and Elysium! This film has a much smaller cast than we’re accustomed to in his films. It’s a hoot and the narrative soars.

We dont watch Roland Emmerich films for their Oscar winning quality. We watch them becaue they are big, bold and bonkers. But usually, visually spectacular. Cant wait.

File this under classic Kermode! Also classic movie poster quote: “It’s the stupidest film I’ve ever seen in my whole life and I’m grinning ear to ear.”

I have FORGIVEN Roland Emerick FOR Godzilla 1998. This was a MASTERPIECE.

I'm going to see this movie on Friday! I'm super excited about it.

The movie is big budget B movie stuff. It’s a switch your brain off, grab a popcorn and enjoy the ride. I enjoyed it!

It introduced a lot of science to my kids - yes it is fiction and thrown all together for entertainment value, but it did educate including how the tides work, what is a dyson, what is AI, what is Rouche, why they had to refill the space shuttle, what is a white dwarf, what is a EM pulse - yes fiction scenario, age of universe, Fermi paradox etc - it worked

Watched it tonight. Every word Mark says its true. I felt exactly the same. Insanely stupid but so much fun!
