Not competing orange, that was a GM color, it would be called Vitamins C orange or Hemi Orange.

Roadrunners were introduced in the 1968 model year. This is definitely a 1967, I drive one myself. Now the true question is whether of not it is a real HEMI GTX convertible? Supposedly only ~14 were produced this year. Small clues give away that is actually NOT a true GTX car, and just a clone made from a Belvedere II convertible.

Joe Dirt said it's a hemi it's a hemi! You'd have a field day with the '69 Roadrunner I inherited from my Uncle. He swapped a 440 in her left the 383 hood badges, GTX door panels and not a GTX, cartoon Roadrunner mudflaps and rubber carpet mats, aftermarket fog lamps (deer spotters) and a spoiler (which is identical to what you could get back then) plus gloss black hood stripes instead of matte and it's an early 2000's viper yellow paint. She's also got '68 side markers that are up too high, and what's funny........none of that bother me. She's a bomb ass car that the last time I saw her, I was 18. Didn't expect to have the keys and her sittin in the garage 15 years later. Not gonna lie, it was heart-breaking seeing that car get unloaded off the carrier's trailer. Lost my Uncle to lung cancer last August, found out last July....he wanted my brother and I to get her :(

I guess you're talking about that in the original script (of this film) this was supposed to be occupied by an '69 Roadrunner with an HEMI engine, right? Because the racing stripes of the "Belvedere GTX" Hemi are more from an '69 Roadrunner rather than from an Belvedere GTX (just like the '70 Challenger R/T's racing stripes from Driver San Francisco when Reflections didn't have the chance to lock the license from Buick to obtain the '70 Buick GSX Stage 1 as the Tanner's "Poster car"); when they didn't found an Roadrunner for the role as Joe Dirt's 2nd mopar ride (or at least an Satellite with cosmetic parts to dress one like an Road Runner); until the sequel (which in my opinnion wasn't good as the first one) they did managed to obtain the '69 Roadrunner for Joe Dirt's actual ride, with the few differences in between the Belvie; which is the color (Jamaica) Metallic blue with Snow white rooftop & powered by an 383 Magnum with an torquelifte steering column 3 speed automatic. Is that right???

This has to be one of the Tommy Boy cars. Too many similarities and Beverage convertibles don't grow on trees. Orange wasn't even an option in 67

If it's a real 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX Hemi Convertible, it has a 426 C.I. Street Hemi . Which was the second generation of Hemi engines developed by the Dodge Racing team and made for NASCAR , starting in 1966, the Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge Hemi goes all the way back to the early 1950's in mass production
