I attended the Introduction to Linguistics lecture with Ms. Bös. 😊 I enjoyed the lecture with her but in combination with Literary Studies and EFL the whole course was really tough work 😓
How can one tell if something is a prefix/suffix and not part of the stem? Or, when one _designs_ a _constructed_ language: how can one assure that prefixes won't mix with stems and won't be confused by the speakers/listeners? How to make sure that suffixes won't be confused with the next spoken word?
Bon Bon in a classified and known language that problem is eradicated by the native knowledge of what or what isn’t a word. English speakers know that conceive is a word but ‘con’ and ‘ceive’ aren’t (as explained by Tom Scott. In con-langs that is difficult if you’re the only creator, but; Esperanto does this well because there are no irregulars
I'm so sorry I'm a native English speaker but Lord knows some of the word yall used are so unnecessary "fancy" I thought this video is supposed to make it easier to understand the topic at hand not briefly confused you with the English being used .
