More Fugly Wood Cut to Length - Millers Falls Swing Saw - MS462 C-M - 2023 #18
In this video I'm working in the woodyard, bucking logs from a log pile halfway down slippery hill, more fugly wood, but wood is wood. It needs cutting, stacking and drying.
Making progress, another fugly round at a time .....

That little helper is a menace sometimes, he has his own wood store under the big wood store, its his secret stash, every now and then I raid it and steal it all back. 😁

What sort of diameter can the Millers Fall saw cut? My bench will go straight through 12" and I've put 16" through it at times. Once it gets up to those sort of diameters the wood is getting a bit heavy to work with though. I'd have put all those last pieces through my bench and I'm silly enough I'd at least consider doing them in 1 go and doing them solo.

Hey Alan, the millers falls would struggle above 12”. It’s a 700mm or 760mm blade so 350mm (14”) max cut but 300mm (12”) cuts slow the saw down and I have to cut in a few bites. I can’t lift logs that dia and length and support them properly on the saw, that’s why I used the chainsaw on them. Your bench is a lot sturdier and the motor more powerful so I’d expect you to be able to cut them, but i find the bench saw or swing saws are best for smaller diameter, quick cuts.
