That's why I like apples ro apples tests. You see people run a cam and the do heads, cam, and intake. That's nor the same. You guys did awesome!!! I am doing my first swap. Ls3/6L90E in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. With a BTR Stage 2 V2. Matt at BTR told me it is the exact same as the RedHot cam.They just put a chili pepper on 1 and not the other.
I love the one mod at a time approach. Really get to see how each one contributes to the package. E85 should be the last touch. We gonna pretend like this thing doesn't have a ported blower coming it's way eventually?? 👀👀
I just put this cam in my 2004 gto. Made 400hp and 380ft*lbs on a mistang dyno when it was 97*F out. Its a great cam and the car drives more or less stock with just a bunch more power and it sounds awesome
Have you used enginetech cam bearings. The durabond coated cam bearings are on backorder if you had your your choice of dura-bond high performance uncoated or enginetech coated which one would you use

Your's won't be an exact comparison as it has no ls7 maf, stock heads, intake, etc. Plus we are debating on how to do your numbers as your car may be slightly less since you have added mufflers since the last dyno session. Will figure out the best scenerios...
I'm curious to what an ls7/ls3 card style MAF would do on this car. What the benefits/gains and what needs to be done in HP tuners to run the MAF. I know you have to flip the pink/black wires around.
When I do my other G8. I'm keeping it simple: BTR stage 2(new version) LS3 cam, Wilkes performance CNC ported stock castings LS3 heads with valve job and .30 thousands off, LS7 MAF, Rotofab cai intake, flex fuel sensor(optional) .45 thickness cosmetic gaskets, Ported TB and intake manifold, 1 7/8 pacesetters/ 2.5 catless exhaust/X pipe and magnaflow axlebacks. Other supporting mods will be added as needed. The goal is 440 to 460whp. We shall see in 2023 I'm digging the videos. I like how yall stick to ways of combos and data. Most people don't do that anymore. They shovel a cam in hopes that it makes power vs doing a rhyme and reason for it. I appreciate that
@nufnuffz28 oh yeah, I've done a RCR combo or 2 on a few G8's. I currently own 2 G8's. One's is currently a LSA car and the other is going to be a N/A set up. Coming from the nitrous F-body world, I really love the holden/Zeta platform. I've been loving my G8 since 2015..
be ready to wait a LONG time for those wilkes heads, even when they tell you "yeah idk why they haven't shipped out" and "they'll ship out friday" then they give you tracking in a week and then ship em 4 weeks later but when you finally get em they're good
Hi. I am just finishing off installing this cam I had my heads milled .030 and installed gaterman lifters installed with a recommended preload of .030 I ordered 7.375 pushrods and I now have a 3/4 turn from zero lash to the point the trunion is bottomed out not 22ft lb does this sound right for preload
Shidddd put that thing at 11.5:1! Ain't gonna hurt it with a procharger and the red hot gonna be pretty sufficient with centri blower. I'm waiting out the release for boost bc I've decided I'm doing d1sc or d1x myself

@@TylerToplovich awesome. Love to hear that. Yeah, we need a gear we think when we do track testing back to back as well, but on the dyno not a big deal yet. Also wanna show the changes from the best dyno #s to best track times.
@nufnuffz28 I agree. Didn't have the dyno when we did mine and track tuned after street tune but I'd also like to see 2.92 vs 3.45 back to back same day for same air etc etc. I'm a fan of data! Results don't lie thats for sure. Aside from that why havent we seen any nitrous updates with the blue car?
